if they gone with the actual gobots colors, i'd have been all over this. i know they are homaging the e-hobby set, but this doesn't feel anything like gobots to me.
As to making Gobots joining Transformers, I myself have some from the Brave sets and Made the join Autobots as I think they just fit in so well, I would love to see more Gobots Join both sides or maybe someone redo the whole set with new bodies and Alt modes and give them new life as a spin off from the normal Transformers universe. Nice to see they got updated :).
Pathfinder here is blue and yellow because that color scheme was based on a prototype or something color for Cosmos that never got released until it was brought back for that old Takara Gobots set. I think same goes for the Powerglide one being grey.
Love minibot upgrades. Thanks to 3rd party we know Pathfinder original colours look fantastic on Cosmos, I hope they get around to it. Now with missing link happening it will be interesting to see in the coming years if all these will get the treatment. I'd like to see some oversize ones someday of the originals. Maybe they can call them "super gobots!"
The original minibot set was an odd one- a lot of recolors based on catalog prototype toy colors that never came out, then sort of maybe Gobots but without any real mention on the box to not step on Bandai's toes. This set + Road Ranger + modern Bugbite homages that set, which is why most aren't in Gobots colors. There's no modern Powerglide deluxe out... maybe they'll drag out the Universe ultra class mold if they don't plan to make one? Hasbro's ownership of GoBots is also odd- they own what Tonka owned, hence they can recolor toys into Gobots characters, use the logo on the box, etc(Smallfoot's cartoon face is probably one of the few exceptions to the straight recolor policy). But they do not own the original molds or those designs, Bandai still has those. WB also owns the cartoon rights via their buyout of Hanna-Barbera. Which funny enough GoBots shares a lot of Transformers & GI Joe cast members, along with Constable Odo. Bandai licensed Machine Robo to Action Toys, a group of 3P Transformers makers that went "legit". They only made a select few toys but the deluxe Bike Robo included some Cy-Kill faces "unofficially"
Makes sense. The original Ironhide and Ratchet were disappointing in comparison to how they looked in the cartoon and most of the Marvel comic (except for issue 1).
I’m hoping for a later three pack with a reissue of Road Ranger, a new Bug Bite from SS86 Bumblebee, and the Bad Boy redeco of the future deluxe Powerglide
Bad or cheap thing about hasbro is, they aren't putting enough figures out. They are taking them away for remolds, so now people are charging 35 to 45 bucks for a deluxe!!!! Which is BS.
Green tanks are rare om transformers? Brawl, Guzzle, Bludgeon (inner robot) all feel ignored! Anyhow, this set is cute for homages to E-Hobby Gobots, but not cute enough to justify the price Hasbro Pulse is charging.
Honestly, forgot about those. I was more thinking in the G1 Cartoon, where Brawl was the only green tank. And if you look at the various tanks in the Transformers Universe, green ones are definitely in the minority. As for the price... this set of three deluxe Transformers is really the same price as buying 3 deluxes separately.
Wish Bandai could re-release the original molds for Gobots…😮
They could. Just as Machine Robo.
Didn't have Cosmos and WarPath. Looking forward to getting this. Thanks for review

Pathfinder was my favorite gobot toy and a simple color match would have sold this to me too

God, I can't wait to get this set. These guys and gals are gonna look so good with Road Ranger, Bug Bite and Crasher.
Almost forked out nearly £80 for this pack, just picked it up for £25 👍🏻😮
looks cool I may order it would go great witth studio 86 Tfs I have
There was a GoBots comic in the GoBots magazine.
Gobot names are absolutely charming
I can’t wait to get my hands on the spark crusher

Can't wait to get mine got shipped today
I believed out of these Gobot spies/ minibots, we are just missing Bad Boy whose is a redeco of Powerglide.
Yes. I mention that in the video.

The original Pathfinder I have is a dark army green and silver.
I remember having Res-Q and using him in place of my actual Ratchet because the robot mode looked like a robot.
Makes sense. The original Ironhide and Ratchet were disappointing in comparison to how they looked in the cartoon and most of the Marvel comic (except for issue 1).
@@ToySpotlite I remember thinking I did it wrong the first time I transformed Ratchet.
LOL Soons needed to be on the Tick that way he could yell Spoon as they charge into battle
At least the G1 white Bumblebee was ko-ed, hopefully they'll do the rest of them so we don't have to pay a kidney for those ehobby ones! XD

Modus maakte dat treetje de go bots versie van prune cunterphanse
Who owns the 80s cartoon Gobots rights? Cause Im not into these versions but would 1000% be into cartoon accurate Gobots figures if Hasbro did those.
Warner Bros owns the cartoon
"Mutilate cows" lawl
So these are just repaints but I still prefer those original GoBots, more than 60 toy figures of those Guardians and Renegades.

I mean, if they made actual go-bot molds, I'd buy them... these... not for me...

Go bots were first!
They were. I watched that show and collected some of the figures too.
