Love the new Japanese-inspired tea cups with the BOMO faces! But I love all of your work. As for the collaboration, the gallery's slow and confused responses are disheartening, so I can see why it's soured you to doing more of those currently. Perhaps in the future, if an institution asks to collaborate with you, ask them for the contact information of other artists that they've collaborated with recently. Then you can find out from art peers what working with the institution is like, and if they have any advice. Sorry to hear about having to pay customs fees - hopefully you won't have to pay too much because you're not importing them for sale; they're being returned to you. But at least you're getting them back! As someone told me, "don't borrow trouble" (from the future) - hope for the best (despite what has happened to date) and see what shape the pieces are when you get them back.

The simplicity is the beauty of Japanese pottery, so I guess, it what it needed to be! About the collaboration, it is really disheartening to see that they do not care much about it. Or at least, this lack of communication is somehow making me feel this way. Sadly I had to go through this situation in order to learn. Some artists got in contact with me asking for this gallery. I have shared my honest opinion and experience. So hopefully they can decide if to work with them or not, with a bit more information. But I do not advise to work with them at all.. Thanks for your advice on checking with other artists before signing a contract with any collaboration/ gallery! It will definitely help to get a clear picture next time!
