I remember watching her do this on her couch and it was amazing! Angelina knocked that out of the park!! And what can you say about Grammy winning Jimmy Z OMG, that is just years of experience that was displayed! I will say it for Jimmy-Etta would be pleased! She last performed this in a recorded version at age 12/13, and I for one have longed for her to sing it live - and now it's happened. Angelina sang 21 songs, including two new originals, "Thank You" and "What Am I to You". She sang John Legend's "All of Me" in a duet with Scott Hoying from Pentatonix. Toby Gad played piano on "Bad Valentine" and a couple other songs. Toby has recently educated us on how many of the record labels currently go about their business. In a recent interview Toby said, "I have a feeling there's a huge change going on as we speak in the music industry. It's profound. I feel the majors are cutting down on their marketing departments and focusing only on established talent and leaving the development of new talent to themselves. Because even if you're assigned to a major record label, the label will ask you, to please post every day on your socials. That's how we promote your record. We'll put it up on Spotify, but you will have to handle the promotion until it goes viral. Once it's viral, we will help you. Kind of thing, which is staggering, because back in the day, you would think, Oh, I signed with a major label. They developed me, and now I'm made and that's 100% gone. Now you sign with a major label and you're one of the hundreds who they wait, okay, once you have a viral moment, then they will start investing in you. It's so strange now." Many 'Jazz' singers have attempted to emulate Billie in their singing but only Angelina captures the true essence of her 'one and only' musical mentor, which is confirmed when she stated, 'If not for Billie, there would be no Angelina Jordan today'.
