These turned out really nice, especially Deirdre, Svensgaard, and Aki-Zeta. Interesting how the AI mostly made sense of the characters’ accessories, especially with the aforementioned trio. I’m always amused by how Zak’s gear gets (mis)interpreted in these renditions 😉
@@Turovetsky Absolutely 😎 There's more story to tell before 'University Base' comes to the point where Zak wears his iconic gear, but I do have designs in place for the reimagined props 😉
So I am aware that there are limits to what the AI can do, sometimes weird limits like the "nerd without glasses" thing. But anyway, here's my thoughts: Deirdre, looks a bit old, and she should be tight-lipped. Santiago, nearly perfect. Zakharov, perhaps not quite smug enough. Miriam, totally creepy and not in a good way, not nearly "judgy squints" enough, also the original's background is clearly the world burning behind her while in the remaster it's just smudge, is it even Miriam if she doesn't hate you and the world isn't burning? Lal, pretty great, I like the hint of a smirk. Morgan, no complaints. Yang, not smug enough. Svensgaard, should be blind in one eye, not sinister enough. Cha Dawn, it doesn't look like there's a giant stick up his butt, 1/10. Roze, the eyeglass looks weird somehow. Domai, possibly too handsome but pretty good. Aki-Zeta 5, not weird enough(!), the original goes for odd features like overly wide eye spacing and a bit of a dazed expression.
I agree with you, sometimes it just doesn't get the "soul" of the character. Interestingly, there seems to be no consensus, some like a character, some don't.
This is excellent! 10/10
Thank you!
Great work!
Amazing! I wish there was a remaster.

Zak's gear is a "horror beyond my comprehensions" to the AI. 🤣
For us, we can only do so much for the remaster... perhaps us fans should take it!

They should remaster Alpha Centauri and they would automatically have the best Civilization game on offer.
To see the remastered intro to Alpha Centauri, check Ratimir Rakuljic's video: ua-cam.com/video/PCsA1TfiCnU/v-deo.html

Yeah if the game ever gets a HD or remastered treatment I really hope the art is done by hand. AI really takes the character away from the portraits.
Deirdre got the mindworms under her skin.
Deirdres upper body looks strange. But otherwise the portraits look nice.
"She looks like the terrain in game" is a good one I heard
deidre got yassified lmaaoooo
