I started to know Jesus as Father Richards with the book he wrote, "Be A Man," therefore, after reading the first pages and started the tasks he gave in the book, I went online and looked for him. He ha not change a bit. All he says comes with a flaming love for God. And I too learn to love God like the Samaritan woman that now I love God Father Son Holy Spirit, not just because Father Larry Richard told me who God, but because God Father Son Holy Spirit is and I learned to love him for what he is, God. Amen.

Wonderful delivery of the truth. Anyone who feels like praying for my wife to seek counseling for trauma she has been true having left her without the ability to love, and I want to reconcile. She can't love and has left other husbands in the past because FUN is in her bible, and "LOVES THE BIBLE", but not men. She prays for being taken care of and to have fun (she is 49 years old). She was arrested for domestic violence against me and immediately filed for divorce :( I love her unconditionally and wish she could see this homily (I can't share it because of her arrest and bail conditions). Father Larry has been so helpful to me in the last week with this difficult time, what courage he has, love it :) God bless all, and thank you.

I'm sure most people don't think of it in that perspective but since you said it like that and that it is spitting on Jesus I'm sure most people without the yelling and acting like a buffoon or bully would understand exactly what you mean and would change that about themselves I'm sure if people take the time to go to church They don't want to spit in the face of Jesus intentionally by leaving 5 minutes early after sitting there for 45 minutes I'm pretty sure the intent is not there once explained that it is an insult most people would stay seated.

Some people treat church and the Eucharist as a check off their list of things to do for the week. I bet that if the Church said "there's no more obligation to come to church on Sunday" only the faithful and serious ones will continue to come to church.

Gilles, I am more concerned with your salvation than with your friendship. It is clear to me that you are trusting in Roman Catholicism to save you, rather than Jesus Christ. You are trumpeting the same old Roman Catholic points in defending that religious system, instead of using scripture to back up your points.
Water baptism doesn't save a person; it is an outward sign of what has transpired inwardly and our first act of obedience to our Lord after our spiritual rebirth has taken place. A baby can't possibly be saved through Baptism, as it is not cognizant of its sinful nature, nor the need for a Savior. Baptism is done after we have put our faith and trust in Christ as a means of proclaiming our faith to others. The thief on the cross next to Christ at His crucifixion wasn't baptized, and yet Christ told him "Today you will be with me in Paradise"; he was saved by his faith and trust in Christ to save him - not by water baptism.
The sacraments don't save; they are works of man and are not meritorious towards our salvation. We are saved by grace through faith alone, not of works:
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost" - Titus 3:5
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8.9
Salvation is a free gift from God, by simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ - trusting in Him solely for our salvation. There is NOTHING we can do to earn it or work for it. Any work we do to attain salvation, nullifies God's free grace toward us - as the Apostle Paul told us. Unfortunately, Roman Catholicism is a works based salvation system, which is another gospel. The Apostle Paul warned:
"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel; Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."- Galatians !:6-9
Mary was not conceived sinless nor did she remain sinless; there is nothing in scripture that supports this. On the contrary, the Bible tells us that ALL have sinned and are in need of a Savior:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23. It says all; not all but Mary. God doesn't lie, but apparently Roman Catholicism does.
Peter was not put in charge of the Church. Christ is the Rock upon which the Church was founded. He is our High Priest, Our Mediator, Our Advocate, Our Redeemer, Our Savior, Our Creator. Roman Catholicism repeatedly denies the glory and honor due to Christ alone for our salvation, and this is just another example of this - by pointing its adherents to Peter, instead of rightly on Christ. Christ paid the penalty for our sins, not Peter. Christ is the bridge between us and our sins to the Father, not Peter. Peter can't save you; only Christ can save. Christ paid the full penalty for your sins, if you are a believer.
There is then no need for paying a penance or the need for a fictitious place called Purgatory to purge of us of any leftover sins. Did Christ come up short on paying for our sins, so that we need to pay for them ourselves via a penance or a time of purging? These are lies of the devil, and further diminish what Christ has accomplished for us and who HE is. Why would you want to deny what Christ has accomplished??
Roman Catholicism is a false religion steeped in paganistic, idolatrous practices. Why worship a wafer instead of the One True God? The RCC has transformed a memorial service ("DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME") into a paganistic practice of eating one's god. It is another means of denying Christ.
You need to come out of that false church. It is an affront to God. Jesus Christ didn't start Roman Catholicism. He would have nothing to do with it. He started His Church in Israel, with the Jews who believed, then it spread around the globe. Let me ask you this: when Christ comes back to Earth to rule and reign for a 1000 years, why is it that He will be coming back to Israel, to reign from Jerusalem, if His Church is located in Rome?? His Church is not in Rome and in fact, during the seven year Tribulation period, Rome is going to be destroyed, along with the Vatican.
You need spiritual discernment to see how false Roman Catholicism truly is. I was in the same situation as you, ignorant of scripture and trusting in the priests, the bishops, the cardinals and the popes and their system to save me - the blind following the blind. I didn't study The Word and accepted everything I was taught from the RCC. The Holy Spirit opened my eyes to see just how wrong the RCC is and now I trust Jesus Christ alone for my salvation. You need to do the same. Without the Holy Spirit's help, you just will not see how false that religion is. The enemy has you blinded and trusting falsely in their system. It won't save you. When you stand one on one before Christ at His Judgment seat, Rome won't be there to defend you. The only means of entrance into His Kingdom, is by trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross - NOTHING ELSE.
Eternity is a long time; it is endless. You better make sure who or what you are trusting in for your salvation. If Roman Catholicism can't even be trusted in the safeguarding of it member's children - yes, I'm alluding to the raping and molestation of children by their priests and the coverups and relocations of these criminals to other parishes by the cardinals and popes - then how can you possibly trust them for your eternal security and salvation??

So called Christians need to stop attacking Catholics. You have a complete misunderstanding of our faith. Stop insulting our priests. Stop thinking that all you need to do is believe. Faith without works is dead.

+Stephen Meehan Clearly you need to read the entire Bible IN CONTEXT recognizing the audience whom is being adressed. Many verses in the Bible state Baptism is required for the forgiveness of sins and salvation; to be able to participate in Christ's death and resurrection. For example: Acts 2:36-39 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ-this Jesus whom you crucified.”37 Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” 38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
Galatians3:26-27 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
1 Peter 3- 21 18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; 19 in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, 20 who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. 21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you-not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience-through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
So...if you are wrong about Baptism, what else are you wrong about?

+Stephen Meehan I will pray for you. It seems you used to be in the Catholic Faith. Jesus our Lord and Savior has instituted these Seven Sacraments, so He obviously wants them to be continued. We do trust in the merits of Jesus' death for our salvation, but like James said "Faith without works is dead". I will pray for you. Listen to this Priest and hear for yourself Who he talks about. He's one of the best Catholic Priests.

+Stephen Meehan The true and real Jesus, v=mD--lHALcm0. I have always known. The life of Jesus was very important. It was Jesus that said, "the kingdom of heaven is within or among you". That's where salvation begins. Repent or change ones ways and believe. Jesus condemned whole towns. Wept over Jerusalem. Jesus flipped them tables. Used that whip. Jesus did not care for money or riches. Healed people and condemned hypocrisy and fakery. Jesus laid down the foundations for a Nation. Not for a little downtown church with rituals. I can hang out with Jesus because I am a sinner or who have Sinned. Made mistakes. Jesus said he was sent to save the sick. The healthy and righteous do not need to be saved. Drink wine, eat bread, baked fish, grapes, figs. Jesus Christ Luke Chapter 5, "The Pharisees and Scribes complained to his disciples, saying "Why do you eat and drink with sinners and tax collectors?" Jesus said to them in reply, "Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners."..Church does not show Jesus of the Bible. Given that said I go to Mass because I believe. No Communion. I have done this in the past. Good enough.
