Algebra 2: Graphing a Piecewise Function

  • Here is an example of how to graph a piece-wise function. Make sure you break the equation up into each separate equation and then use a t-table to find 2 points to graph. ALWAYS use the constraint as one of your points on your table!

    Why do we need to waste 7 hours a day, for 5 days of the week,of our lives in a dirty dusty building that was probably a retirement home for the elderly back in the 40s if I can watch exactly 58 seconds of a video and remember everything. I could have lived my life when I was in highschool man. But nope. Honestly the rate at which they teach us in school is so fucking slow. Its brain zapping. I understand some people do need to learn slower but even my ap classes when I finally decided to take them was slow and I slept through that class and still got my A 🤦🏾‍♂️ Im actually pissed because the education system is outdated by at least 400 years and it needs to change

    Great Video! You mentioned a lot of things that many others didn't, like always using the constraint in your T table and to use the sign to tell you which points to choose. I was so confused on how to decide what to plot and you explained it well.
    And for those hating on the singing, do some research and educate yourself. Having fun while studying math actually increases your ability to relax and thus, learn.

    What if your equation has no x

    • @lorenzodisarro9397
      @lorenzodisarro9397 5 років тому +1

      Because f(x) also represents y .so if the problem says three that actually means Y equals three so you would make a line horizontally on (0,3)

    • @rajendramisir3530
      @rajendramisir3530 5 років тому

      @@lorenzodisarro9397 f(x)=3 means y=3. The graph is a horizontal line that passes through the point (0,3) and is parallel to the x-axis. Think of the slope-intercept form of the equation of a line: y=mx+c. For the equation y=3, the slope is 0, and the y-intercept is 3. The domain is all real numbers.
