5:19 Wouldn't that equation be f(x) = -- x + 7, x > 3? I see that equation you put is correct as well, I just don't understand why you would write it that way.
@@dianajacobo4970 So after 3 levels of calculus and several other calculus based courses as well as linear algebra, I can confident say I'm not sure why I was confused lol. It looks like she's trying to keep the function in a standard form of some sort allowing for the shifts to show (the +3 in the x direction and +4 in thr y direction). If you distribute the slope it becomes -x+3+4 which is -x+7 as i originally stated.
@@austinchandler3079 apologies I meant vertex form. I'm still confused why she did vertex form. It is right but linear is also an option as it's a straight line. I can understand why she did the first equation as vertex form as the line didn't seem to cross the y-axis at a clear point so it would be impossible to identify the y-intercept. However, the equation I originally questioned, crossed the y axis at a clear point. I just don't know why she did the hard way
more confused than when I got here :(
My son said thank you for helping with his math homework!
@Karmen Wahl Nice job but i don't really get the way you found the inequality statement. :/
nvm had 2 rewatch it like 10 times
There was no why behind anything said in this video
Very helpful. Thank u so much
This doesnt really help the fact the sometimes you cant find the y int on the seconds equation on example one
you are a life saver!!!!!
6:53 Don’t mind me just putting a time stamp down for me
Ya’ll so rude. Just give her tips.

Thank you! I was also confused why she did absolute value
