Yes you can, Google Sketchup generates the animation in real time, but you can record each frame of the animation, then you can edit it and play it in other programs....
no what happens is: i make a cone i click on play (cone tool still selected) nothing happens and if i click on an object it thinks i want to make a cone on that object. basicly, the 'play' button is broken
I totally wanna do the voiceover for this in my cheesiest game show voice: "Sketchyphysics and You". Really cool, though, seriously. Just the music is kinda hilarious.
I don´t know the author... Here in Argentina is the soundrack of "Martin Fierro".. search in google "Cortina musical de los Premios Martín Fierro (APTRA)" Hope this helps.
@VirtualAutonomy in sketchup 8 you can do it by clicking file, export, animation. then you save it however you want. though im unsure if it works with sketchy physics.
@Chris90skates Lots of tutorials and going for simplicity first! Don't download SketchyPhysics unless you can make a reasonably detailed shed or hut. It's my best example, I think. Also play around with sunlight, fog, time of day, etc.
"Hello, thank you for buying my VHS tape. Welcome to my video, 'Sketchyphysics: An Overview'. Today we will look at the first step: Setting up Dial-Up."
guys i need help! if i want to set my enviroment as closely as possible to the space how can i do that? i can set the gravity to "0" but is there a way how to make my objects following their paths? like they will not stop until they hit something?(like in space, the object keeps its moving force) thx a lot i really need this
@DrFrankensteam Left out one question. Was wondering if someone could either point me to one that already excists or do up a closer animation of the 6 legged machine. I need a closer look at it please! I need a closer look at the middle leg if anyone could help me out please, thank you!
perhaps you don´t extract in the correct place. There is a new version of SketchyPhysics that has an installer (and is more powerfull). Search for SketchyPhysics2 and download the installer.
I want to learn more about sketchup physics because my knowledge of it is still very shallow in great need of the examples of making more equipment some time ago I wanted to create a simulation tool with google sketchup that I want to simulate the movement is a magnet motor system can be seen in step 7 youtube title animation .... magnet motor, but the obstacles that I get is I did not understand the use sketchup physics as a whole with this I ask your help as best regard Arief Triwahyudi

Those are some cool animations but lose the 80's music...doesn't work at all.
What are the Thumbs down for? This is simply stunning stuff.
Not gonna lie. I was totally rocking out to the music here. Felt like I was watching the employment video at Express Personnel.
@danisla83 actually you can export them in the export menu under 'File' it will then save it as an AVI file under your chosen destination
if you still are looking at it... you can download that model form the 3dwarehouse.. search for "railroad8". It´s an example from CPhillips.
You are using a model that was done in SketchyPhysics ver.3 and you have SketchyPhysics ver.2. Try downloading the latest version.
i like the music. makes it look like a school educational video... its 2012 and they still show us movies from the 80s... whats the name of the track?
no what happens is:
i make a cone
i click on play (cone tool still selected)
nothing happens and if i click on an object it

I can't help but picture the beginning credits of an 80's cop show or something when I hear the music.
I don´t know the author...

@VirtualAutonomy No... You need to use a Screen Video Capture.
