We had some bulls that-
-We were talking, I was telling them about the foot rot.
-Yeah, the foot rot. Four treatments with that blue and it was completely dried up. And then I had a bull, he's actually here, and I took him to Duluth and he busted his head open. He had a hole in it, I mean literally a hole that big around and the meat was gone. We did three treatments with the blue, and after the third treatment, there was nothing but a little tiny scab and it had healed it all the way up. And I've actually been able, something that would have took me three or four months of just every day doctoring and salving and doing this and doing that. And then the foot rot on the bulls, it just dried it up. And I mean, bulls that were crippled for a month.
This was our first time really dealing with foot rot, this year.
-Okay so what is the normal length of time of foot rot that you deal with antibiotics, running the course and all that?
Oh yeah, so you have to bring them in,and you literally have to tip them on their side, and you tie their legs up and I have to go in and inject it with LA-200 and then I have to give a bull LA-200 as an antibiotic, and then really there's no treatment other than cleaning it, scrubbing it clean, spraying the LA-200 back in it, using gauze going up in it, and then wrapping their whole entire foot so dirt doesn't get it in.
But you still have a pain response present until that bacteria goes down?
Oh yeah, until the bacteria goes away. So on the second one that we had, we had the laser and we did it. I never wrapped it, I never treated it with LA-200--
-One time you did, the first time you did.
-The very first time I did and then after that, we just used the laser and it was dry within... I was amazed. No swelling, nothing in the leg. I mean this bull would just try to run over you now, he felt great. And he was a young bull and I was totally amazed at how well it really worked.
From now on, when we come to an event it comes with us. Like yesterday we had that tour and we showed people and people were just amazed, they had no idea that this technology was actually out there and I didn't either, so I was kind of woken up to the fact.
And I was one of old school guys that said you don't need that and you don't need this. No, I'm telling you right now it's an impressive tool. We enjoy it fully. We use it every day on something.
