Also known as A Line in The Sand in the vinyl/cassette release. A much awaited track on this channel. Fully restored and cleaned up samples with a modern mixing style.

Rest in peace, Geoff Follin. Without your influence, you and your brother Tim would never compose one of the greatest Video Game soundtracks for the SNES.
hey weird i just saw one of ur comments on a ristar video like 5 minutes ago
RIP, such creative minds
Rip Geoff Follin for composing one my favorite childhood plok music!
RIP Geoff Follin. This one's for you.
You think I might be joking, but I consider this one of the best days of my 23 years of living. You are a saint.
Exactly
thats kinda sad
@@spritesensationbeats being a joyless idiot
One of my best in my 44 years of living. OG Plok! player - used to sit in front go my TV and listen to this. Rarely heard the tracks after this because the game was so hard.
@@spritesensation then I thank all those people that liked the comment for showing their sympathy :)
Didn't know Geoff had passed away until I read the comments here.
I played PLOK so much growing up, and it's the kind of game I can find myself coming back to whenever I feel myself in need of something I can just lose myself in for a while.
You've done such an incredible job of restoring this track, and explaining just how much the brothers cared about their work and the amount of effort they put into making the most of what was available to them at the time.
Thank you for this, I know Geoff wasn't a big fan of the hobby, but I'm sure you've done his and Tim's work justice for many people who love the game.
This is the best alternate version of plok - beach because now the part at 0:49 sounds strong enough to incapacitate a small Victorian child. Great Work!
I don't even know how to parse what you just said but I AGREE with you!!
What's a Victorian child? Is that like a ShyGuy from Super Mario 2 ? Genuinely want to know...
@@elgatofelix8917Victoria was Queen of Britain from 1837 to 1901. There's a Wikipedia article on the Victorian era of you want to learn more.

i just love songs that use 7/4 time correctly, it gives them a more fantastic sound
Moving into 8/4 after the intro ;)
How can you use 7/4 incorrectly?
i thought it was 7/8 and 4/4
I also love how Follin changes up the time signature of the intro to 4/4 when it loops around for the second half of the song
What section are you talking about? The beginning of the loop is still in 7, just slower than the first time. Time stamp?
lots of happy chemicals rushed through my brain when I saw the thumbnail lmao
Clicked for the music, stayed for the explanation of how they did it. Excellent job.
as the guy who owns plok merchandise and hangs it on his wall, thank you
Phenomenal rendition! what I always found peculiar about this track is, despite its name, doesn't use instruments that video game music typically uses to impart a wavy beachy tone. And yet it still manages to do so. Fantastic composition all around.
RIP THE GOAT
This is so cool! One small thing tho, you forgot the 4 descending bass notes at 2:27
But still, this is incredible!
Wow. Good ear. I'm new to this song so I wouldn't have caught that!
I noticed the same thing and wondered if anyone was as detail-oriented as me. Still an amazing restoration job though!
I...I just...I _can't_
Just _listen_ to how clean this is!
I bet this takes you a long while to get just right, and I really just can't express how grateful I and probably everyone else listening are to have this - THANK YOU!
Holy CRAP HE CAME BACK AND ACTUALLY DID IT!!!! I cannot thank you enough this is a dream come true!! The guitar sounds so clean now it's actually amazing!!! YOU ARE A PLOK LEGEND!! On the behalf of the entire Plok! Fanbase, THANK YOU!!!!
This video makes me want to play Plok even more now. Even though I had a SNES in the 90s it's one of the games that slipped past my radar at the time. I remember seeing ads for it in gaming magazines but I never saw TV commercials for it and none of my friends had it. A big way we would get hyped on games as kids would be going over to our friends houses and playing them, or renting them on a whim at Blockbuster.
I don't recall ever seeing Plok for rent either : (
Oh how I love to hear this song with this much clarity!
Just one small detail (not a deal breaker at all): The bass line that plays when returning to the intro (2:26) seems to be omitted in this rendition, which makes it sound just a bit empty.
Other than that, you've done a magnificent work once more!
Its missing the descending bassline back into the loop but this is brilliant
39k views is CRIMINAL, you are doing an amazing service restoring these tracks!
o7 Rest easy Geoff
I love how both the original and this restoration sounds very Namco-ish, and it'd easily fit on a shmup made by them. Great work, and thanks UA-cam for recommending me this great channel!
i love how the tempo never changes back to the starter one
The guitar pick sounds are an incredible detail.
It is amazing to hear these tracks remasterd
Its been 30 years Happy Birthday Plok! (Its not September yet ik)
Been rocking this track for like 29 years now, thank you so much for recreating this masterpiece. Incredible work!!
Finding this restored version of this song made my day. Seriously.
NOOOOOO THE DESCENDING BASS NOTES :C
but anyways well done, is incredible.
Faithful restoration.
Most restorations (especially the DKC ones which have garnered a shit ton of views for whatever reason) have the fatal flaw of muting out a channel or at worst completely altering it. Yours succeeds in all areas.
Please, bring back more PLOK soundtracks restored !!!
The OST is so good, these are perfect
Love the description of the track and what you have done
Awesome work !!!
The FLAC sounds like touching the divine. Woah mama
Rest Easy, Geoff.
You deserve every good thing that has happened to you in your LIFE. This is mind-blowing. Thank you for your service!
i am absolutely stoned and this is freaking amazing i cried a tear at one point
My only gripe about this is that the sampled strings at the beginning shouldn't restart each time it's played, it should have it's volume modulated instead like the rest of the song.
Just astoundingly cool stuff. Even as a kid I recognised Plok sounded way different to the other stuff I was playing on the SNES. Great to see it get love and thank you for your hard work!
happy 30th anniversary plok!❤
This is incredible! Made my heart feel so happy. I still have my original plok cartridge for the SNES- I never actually beat this game when I was a kid. Is that embarrassing? Well I didn’t lol. But I still love the OST dearly. It’s nice to see that someone else remembers it and loves it (or at least the music) to do what you’ve done! It’s quite incredible, thank you so much!!! Cheers to you, man
You did it! You mad lad!
Fantastic restoration work. The guitar tone here is basically the same as Rock n' Roll Racing, which the Follins were writing around the same time as this. If any SNES game was screaming for a restored version, that would be it. So many of the tricks used here were also used in that soundtrack; the work done here would translate pretty well to it.
ABSOLUTE GODTIER RECREATION, excellent work, subbed
I love me some plok content in 2023 😋
WHEN BOSS THEME AND MAIN THEME!!! in all seriousness this is peak
next time i go to the beach I'm listening to this
Fleapit restoration would be gorgeous to the point of someone want to recreate the entire game for the modern times.
Yass, love this game and the great work you're doing restoring its music ^-^
This is pure bliss, an admirable effort!
Thank you!
RIP Geoff Man man. Some of my big inspirations to make music. I hope one day to get close to this level of music.
I looked up "plok beach" and saw this and immediately went "Yessssssss >:)"
Truely amazing work. I have no words other than the Boss music remastered would be the cherry on top of these remasters.
if this could be done with waterworld diving my life would be complete :P
My happiness right now is limitless. Thank you for this wonderfully remastered treasure. You have certainly earned the right to be a treasure yourself now! c:
YES
I appreciate the work you've done in restoring such an incredible track to it's former glory. It sounds beautiful. The effort must have been taxing but you managed to capture the magic in it's entirety. I really hope you'd consider doing more tracks from the game, I would love to hear Plok's House theme restored.
God came to me in a dream and told me that you had to do the boss theme.
I swear.
thanks to this song, now instead of thinking some baila instruments music, I thought of a outer world sound like this plays in my mind if I'm around a beach
Great video! Transcribing this tune drove me slightly nuts....🤣🙄
Omg i had a playlist playing, then this started playing in the background and i stopped everything because nostalgia came rushing through me. Such an immensely good track at its time.
Awesome work! I fell in love with Plok's soundtrack when you restored Akrillic, so hearing this is a treat.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Amazing work. Takes a wonderful track and makes it even more a pleasure to listen to. You are wonderful for doing this and deserve all the praise you get and more for it.
1:39 That guitar part is sooo good.
Sick as hell, this is now the definitive way to listen to Beach. Great to see other people enjoying and making the most out of one of the best soundtracks on the SNES.
You too? Must be a nasty bug going around; a lot of people are getting the flu lately.
I Love Plok and its music. It will always have a special place in my heart.
And you made it sound even better. I will come back to listen this from time to time. 😁
discovered this track in a jerma stream throwing duck, really cool music
edit: just saw you on the trumpet skull video and just realize it's not my first time here, it's funny how small the world appear sometimes. good job on that video, it was really interesting and discmaster feel like a great discovery for me
i discovered it through a vargskelethor joel stream, specifically a wish dumpster one
Plok is leaving legendary. A game I will never forget from my childhood.
This is an amazing restoration of one of my favorite game songs thank you
This is so good. Just like with your Akrillic restoration, this is just awesome.
An outstanding song made even better! Phenomenal work man :)
Amazing sounding remaster, and I love the information you add in the video as well!
ive watched the akrillic video countless times
thanks for finally doing beach!
Ufffff Excellent job!! Those background instruments sound very very beautiful ♥ Thanks for your work!!!

fantastic restoration, and this mix sounds awesome on my sennheiser hd 650's!
I'm currently trying to write my own video game music and this is both inspiring and making mine seem like absolute trash
insanely good work ! ty for the flac brah
This is absolutely sublime, thank you for this.
i hope both sides of your pillow are cold, you have the best entire life ever i love this song
DUDE NO FUCKING WAYYYY I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY OF MY LIFE...
You actually did it! Holy shit! AGGGHH! Thank you!!!
Dude!!! Thanks i loved this tune!
Thank you for both the restorations and the analysis!
I can't believe, people remember this game. I loved it as kid. Cheesus. I feel old. XD
incredible mix. Very well done
this song is incredible thanks
I love how you discuss the music theory behind the track in your videos. This is excellent content my friend.
Keep up the great work! Glad I subscribed. 👍👍😃
Keep up the excellent restoration work, Senn!
Rad as heck, great work on this
SENN! RESTORE FLEA PIT, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!
Incredible work, amazing editing and information. Hope you keep doing this.
I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Hey dude, I figure it's time to pay homage to this masterpiece. I first found this song in a PS1-era mix and instantly loved it. Naturally, I searched for it on UA-cam and found your incredible remake/remaster. I ended up using it in a video, which fit quite well. So thank you for your dedication!
Always expect the unexpected
I love this song so much. Even though this is the level that makes me start to rage quit in the game lol. I love the music and aesthetics of this game, and Plok’s design and the little ‘Aaah’ yelp sound he makes when he gets hit.
oh my god
Now THIS is Plok.
I would love to see you do the boss theme! Great work on this!
Amazing work
Man, the Follin brothers consistently make 16-bit gen sound like 32-bit gen, and 8-bit gen sound like 16-bit gen.
OMGGG YESSSSS this sounds SO GOOOOOD
