  • Mancala is a generic name for a family of 2-player turn-based strategy board games played with small stones or seeds and rows of holes or pits in the earth, a board or other playing surface. The objective is usually to capture all or some set of the opponent's stones. Versions of the game have been played for at least hundreds of years around the world.

    I’m glad I’m not the only one who clamps their clamps! Getting ready to make one for my daughter and this is a great example, thank you :-)

    Very nice build. I will make me one of these one day. I thought however. Please use a push stick/block when using the table saw ;-)

    This was a fascinating video to watch. Not just because of the project, but also because of your choice of music, and your narration - your voice is unusual, but it works really well.

    That is for the video. Please invest in a push stick. And stand in front of the saw off to the side from the blade.

    Nice job with the project and with the video. Is that a core box bit on the router? What size?

    Nice Job with the mancala board. However you neglected to specify the type and size of your router bit. This information would be helpful. Thanks!

      The router bit is 3/4 round nose. Hope those helps.

    By far the prettiest mancala board I've ever seen. Any chance you'd be willing to sell it?

    • @UIDIY
      @UIDIY  7 років тому

      +Brooklyn Morris I would posible sell it but it has 2 flaws in it and I'm not sure it's desirable in that condition.

      U&I DIY I don't mind the flaws. I'm still interested in purchasing if you want to sell.

    Mancala was originally played by Arabs with diamonds and holes in the sand. Some glass diamonds would be nice "pearls"?

      I do not, I sold this one but I don't make a habit out of making things to sell.

    I like the board. But your table sawing technique is extremely dangerous! You should stand in front of the saw and use a push stick.

    the mix is 50% beeswax and 50% what ? please, I didn't understand...

      If you're referring to my polishing wax, its 50/50 bees wax, and coconut oil.

    Great video but man that is not how you use a table saw

    Your video is good, but your verbal instructions of the thickness of the MDF. It appears to be either 5/8" or 3/4", but your verbal description is garbled

    • @UIDIY
      @UIDIY  5 років тому

      Thank you. It's a work in progress. The MDF was 3/4. But really it's just needed to match the thickness of the final board, since it was used for mock up.
