What an intricate toy. The women on the Corgi production line must have had ultimate patience. Another I’ve never seen inside. Huge parts bins at Corgi. Another superb restoration. Keep it up
    👍

Thank you Alan, I’m surprised they didn’t have a counseling team, there must have been some of the workers going a bit cuckoo doing that day in day out lol!!

Nice opening with your accordion playing.
That nail head for the grill ornament turned out great and nice shade of red.
    Another one saved, good job.
    Cheers Robert

Thank you Robert, the nail head was a little too big, but better than nothing, didn’t look too too bad in the end😊👍

Thank you, it was a bit of a challenge but not as bad as it looked, the worst bit was to remember how it all went back even with the photo!
Thanks for your comment, much appreciated 😊👍
Take care, all the best, Nick.

Thank you Derrick, it looks worse than it is to do, it’s just remembering where everything goes and taking the photo at the beginning helps!😊👍

Thank you Glyn, sometimes the more simple restorations can give more trouble lol, I’ve been doing a couple of minis lately and one of them, well I’ve had enough of it, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, I thought I would do them as a quick restoration as I have been at work 7 days a week for the last three weeks but it’s taken a couple of weeks just doing a bit now and then🤦🏻‍♂️ All fine here thanks, hope all is well with you and your Family too😊👍

Nice accordion playing mate. I remember you've mention about the nail head and it looks very good. Lots of fiddly bits in this car. The paint job is beautiful. Cheers mate

Great job Nick, it always amazes me how you and the other restorers find ways of using the worst of parts to repair things. I didn't notice the window was damaged. All the best from Ian & family.

Bloody ell Nick I had to turn away when you were drilling out that casting! Thought you were gonna slip and drill into your hand, I think you need some new drill bits bud 😉

You know me by now Bob, this tight old Jerseyman’s gotta get his moneys worth out of the drill bits, even if it means drilling a hole in my hand!😉😂🤣

Wash them in soapy water first, if they are scratched I use one of those nail buffers with the 6 different grades on that you can buy in boots the chemist, sometimes I use very fine wet and dry first, then I use either autosol or lamp doctor polish that you can buy on eBay to finish off.
