The bed sides are just sheet metal bent on a large metal break, pipe was welded at the ends to give the look of original, the fender extensions were hand fabled and bent to match the contour of the fenders. The reason they were made that way was is in the event of one of the fenders getting hit you could just unbolt the fender and replace it VS having to completely build another fender. Wasn’t easy but not hard either. Think it gives a good factory look if GM was to ever have built one.
No it’s a later model not sure of the gearing in it, has to be a 3:73 or even a 3:55 it really cruses down the road very well. I pulled this enclosed trailer last weekend running 70-75 fairly easily (obviously on flat ground) with good RPM’s, hills it’s wanted to pull back some just from having a small block in it. But running unloaded it will run all day.
That’s my dream truck Maybe someday
This truck is a work of art would much prefer it over an overpriced dually now a days
Sweet! I wonder where this ride is today?
It’s in a town west of Des Moines Iowa about 30 min is where it went if the kid still has it.
Who did the custom bed?
