*I TESTED CHAFF OFF SCREEN AFTER RECORDING THIS VIDEO AND CHAFF WORKS THE SAME AS SILAGE. NOTHING CAN KEEP IT DOWN LOL*
Stay tuned to the channel this weekend for loose stuff in trailers and bales on auto load trailers. It was just way too much stuff for one video. Here I just wanted to focus on loose and bales. Thank y’all for the awesome support!
excellent show and tell test DJ
Wikkitt Klown that trailer video will be out on Saturday :) Tomorrow is all about making silage
The reason grass rots even under cover is because it is wet and filled with moisture. Whereas the hay and straw is dried. Irl if you baled grass that wet you risk a fire starting.
How does it catch on fire if it’s wet?
@@Joe93819 it molds, and then the mold heats up and catches fire
@@samuel6234 ohh... thanks!
Excellent work DJ thank you, thanks to you and mr sealyp I’m finally getting my Head around all that seasons has to offer
Both Legends,,,i am sure everyone will agree?
Agreed, My go to people when I have a “er what!” moment
I'm disappointed, the piles should rot just as fast as the bales if not faster, in fact the bales should last longer than the piles as the rain should not penetrate as quickly.... strange, I hope Realismus is watching this, and fix it in the next update of seasons. I personally dislike buy anything\ \sell anything silos so I wont be going there, I like to keep it real..... Nice work DJ, you've my Like.
DJ, 💘 this test. It saved me from testing myself cause I was curious.
This video was excellent!!! Much needed information. Great job!!!
Hey DJ , Great stuff. I am new to seasons and I like to grow hay.
One question about your bucket for your front loader.... I need that mod if you wouldn't mind sharing it with me...hava good one!
thanks for doing this video i was kinda wondering what i could leave outside and what had to be covered
very interesting.... hey DJ do you think oxygendavid will notice that the rain goes through the roof on the sheds at the pig farm on lone oak i have successfully stored my hay in there but the rain is still there also i found something interesting with Global company, the reason why it has a conflict with the place-anywhere mod is because place-anywhere is already built into global company!
Thanks Dj this helps a lot 👍🏻have a great day my friend ✌🏻
I placed the EDGE Gaming Multi Filling Station on my PS4 but it charges you for grass, straw and hay. Is that because I'm on console and your test was done on PC?
I came to youtube to find the exact answers that you just provided. Thank you
Great video DJ, really interesting thank you.
I would like to know which shelters prevent rain from spoiling bales because my hay and straw still rot on Lone Oak on Xbox. On a side note, have you been able to put diesel in the CLAAS telehandler? I cannot for some strange reason.
I knew that silage does not rot and grass always rot I did not know that with a little rain, straw was gone like snow in the sun
greets from the The Netherlands
Thanks. Very informative.
Hey I just wanted to inform you that what you state is not entirely correct. In fact it says in the official manual of seasons: "Note that heaps and swaths are not protected by sheds. This is a game limitation. Be sure to always bale your materials."
I tested it myself and can confirm that loose hay does rot away when it rains even being under a roof.
I made a bunch of straw bales and kept them under a shed that came with the map and they were gone. I was distraught about that
Good Morning My Friend DJ Go Ham & Have A Great Thursday
Excellent video!
In real life youll never put green grass inside anyways cause it will cause a fire just saying.
Dustin Jicha this isn’t real life. Just saying.
@@mattalford3932 this is supposed to be a realistic mod. Just saying
It’s obvious that you guys are “just saying” when you comment.. ffs
@@ryanp6999 well, someone's on their period today
I suppose I could see baling grass for feeding sheep, but why else would you want to do that anyway? lol. especially now that all you have to do is sit and wait for it to turn to hay (weather permitting). Otherwise... grab a cheap in game shed and HAY FOR ALL!! Thanks DJ!
Combat Crawdad - to make silage bales.
@@jayc5373 Oh yeah, of course, I just mean why would you make straight grass bales and not wrap them?
Combat Crawdad - yeah, other than that there isn’t much use for them in seasons, other than feeding them to sheep or cows, which you have a short window to do that in as they rot.
@@jayc5373 No point. In Summer Sheep and Cows use any grass in their enclosure to feed on. Best time to start animals is Summer. Just need water if they have a grass pen. Put down the placeable in early spring, paint in grass (if it does not have it) and wait for summer.. Easy animal care :)
Thanks for sharing; a lot of this stuff is hard to learn on my own
Great video dj i watch them every day
That's means a lot off my bales are gonna be gone even though it's all indoors
There seems to be some confusion about this but I hear people saying they don’t know how to use hazards or flashers. Press 2 on the numbad, 1 is left and 3 is right. Hope this helps. (I realize this had nothing to do with the video) not sure about console but for pc these controlls will work.
Thomas Murphy ok thanks, I was watching one of dj’s video about what they want for fs 21 and hazards, I was like hold up, we have that.
That was very interesting! I was surprised that the grass disappeared under cover! But now the question is would the grass and hay and bales disappear if in an enclosed building?
Grass is a fresh product so if it stays without consuming it will decay and will dissappear. Hay is the same as straw but only softer. So it will stay as straw will survive after a while.
I remember watching this the day it was uploaded. now watching it again a year later. Haha
you just made my list of things to do after planting get longer but its worth it to be able to store my straw
Great test DJ. Thanks 4 this. Cheers
So the only way to store grass for feed is a m.fruit silo? 🧐
So what happens to grass and chaff in a silage clamp uncovered?
How long does it take to disappear?
Hi dj, do you have any idea if TMR is left uncovered on the ground... If it withers away?
thanks Alot.
Great videos, great job man.
You the best keep up the great work keep them vids coming 😁😁😁
Very interesting test! :)
Seasons trouble. Playing on XBOX One. With seasons installed, no geo installed. Playing on Westbridge Hills is you try and do a mission and borrow equipment the equipment is about 1/3 in the ground and glitches. Playing on Ravenport seasons installed no geo do a mission borrowing equipment you can get into the equipment on and start moving it then it disappears and so does the mission.
Thanks DJ for the info.
Thanks DJ !
Is it possible that the grass reset when picked up in the bucket?
Wish I new this before I stored 105 grass bales
Does anyone know where I can find the triple silo set in this vid that hold hay, straw, grass and silage??
Great videos DJ! Does anyone know if anything happens to wool if left outside vs under cover?
No a map i had before, i could get a couple pallets stack to take with no "rott"
Supposedly, rained-on hay turns back into grass and then rots as grass.
Does this apply to the vanilla game as well or just seasons?
Only seasons
The Christmas tree pack got updated...yay! 🎄
R they going to fix the snowblower last i tried using it it wouldnt work after the updatr
DJ did a video on how to use the snowblower.
Thanks DJ. This is actually one thing that I forgot to plan for. Looks like I need some silos lol. thanks man
hay farm
AHH! shoot i blinked and i missed it!
Thnx this was helpfull
My straw bales rotted under a bale shed in Marwell Manor (using seasons). Any reason for this? Lol
Found this video because I just lost a whole field of grass bales😂 came to pick them up and they was all just gone
Kinda think it's unrealistic that grass rots in dry weather while the rest don't
What about wet grass, and dry grass?
hello from Australia DJ
Now know covered doesn't mean shelter needs doors
In other words, get a hay loft.
Thx DJ this will definitely help me, but i think the best way just to store it in a silo
What is it called? i cant seem to find it in the mods to install
Is that silo on console too
Forza_4 Drift Team I’m curious to know too
New mod request for ps4 please new contract notification and multiple contracts
What about pit silage?
Curious about that myself
Any silage is good in the weather 👍
I'm assuming the chaff will be ok? I like to get my pits nearly full before I cover them
5:02 Can't find the "wobster" measure mod
What if the grass was left in the trailer and undercover in the shelter?
Danny Boy sane as on the ground 👍
@@DjGoHamGaming God!!! how many combinations they gonna come up with DJ!,,,,,,LOL..
Will season work without snowy lands
Should do mate. Snowy lands is just a GEO mod that makes the map snowy for the full year. There are loads of other GEO mods in the gameplay section of the mod hub to make the yearly climate appear like uk, Spain, Italy etc.
As I’m watching this.... what about silage in a bunker silo?
Sileage lasted fine so doubt being in a bunker would make it worse?
Danny is correct. Any silage is good wherever. The weather can’t bring it down! Lol
@@DjGoHamGaming Its The Terminator of forage,,,,,,,,,
Don't really want to store stuff in the silo coz they don't really work that way in real life as far as I know it's just grain
Dj today is my birthday
Seasons mod is stupid, how im i gonna save my bales from getting destroyed, that does not happen in real life
I just lost 33 square hay bales, they were in shed
