Basil Smash | Gin Cocktails by Steve the Bartender

Basil Smash cocktail recipe
Ingredients
- 60ml Mediterranean gin (2 oz)
- 30ml lemon juice (1 oz)
- 22.5ml simple syrup (0.75 oz)
- 10 Basil leaves
Method
1. In a cocktail shaker, add the basil and simple
2. Gently muddle the basil
3. Shake for 10-12 seconds
4. Double strain over ice into an old fashioned glass
5. Garnish with a sprig of basil

I love basil and gin so this sounds like the perfect cocktail for me! The instructions don't note when to add the gin and lemon though. After muddling the basil with the simple syrup, yes?
