The girl who gave it away wasn’t the owner and made up stuff to give it away. But I’m beyond happy that Spliff ended up with you and is getting lots of attention. Couple facts that might help you. *Got it as a baby. Hatched March 2011 *First 6 years handled daily, used to be left hanging on gym/chair. *Will take live or frozen rats, not picky at all, even eggs. *Never bit during handling, even while in shedding. *Might attack if you try to pick her up randomly from terrarium or at least jump like crazy, but never if she is picked up while she is coiled inside the hide. *I don’t recommend putting her on neck because she will be super relaxed just hanging for a while and if something startles her, she will coil and squeeze like crazzzzyyy. So good luck with that! Amazing Tree, wish I had thought about it before 😍🐍💚
That's a cool T-shirt and a very cool snake ,i have a Vietnamese blue beauty rat snake, had it for 6 years and its big and easy to work, ive found that most of these snakes are easy to handle but you have to take it out of it's enclosure.
I think you did a great job with that interaction. I think if you handle her daily or every other day, shed probably be good with you after 6 months to a year. I like that you were respectful and a little fearful of her. A good way to approach an adult girl that hasn’t been handled. She is definitely overweight, but I think you’ll really fix that by enriching interactions and a normal diet. Really sad that about her old life. This is a wonderful rescue opportunity. Handle her, enrich her and give her good TLC. Good rescue, and a good attitude you got towards making a good connection!! The tree is a perfect enrichment opportunity. She’d appreciate the exercise. I think she is just happy to not be cage bound!
@@hitcher1119 yea he lucky cus indigos get alil bigger on avg then bulls . But hope he feeding what the snake should be eating for her size in not no snack mice cus it takes 3-4 large adult mice to equal medium and bout 5-6 adult mice to even equal regular decent size Large rat . So I hate when people rather do that then to feed bigger rats not mice . Anything over 2-3 same size item prey time to upgrade . Yours is 8.5 ft thick as a ball python so it gotta be 4500 + grams so if you do math right they snake should eat 10-15 his , her own body weight per meal that's easily 600 gram small mammal .
YESSS!🐍 loved the ending your good intent of using your hands not just automatically resorting to the hook & that was pretty cool watching her climb around on those branches whether or not it was the best idea
If she is 8.5 ft she can eat jumbo rats right now she got the girth to do it or if not she definitely will eat 2 Large . . If he was to feed her right she can easily break the record if she is size he say . But he's prolly more like 6ish people tend to add size to they snake
Great T.Shirt and epic snake. A cute little fatty thing isn’t it!? Purely rhetorical………… we all know lol. The snake needs an Anti-Social course or two!!
What is the largest rat snake black rat , Texas , bull or indigo ? Will they eat jumbo , collosal size rats , small 1.5-2 pd rabbits , squirrel 🐿️, pigeon , or baby 🦆 , baby chicken 🐔?
i love that tree stand thingy in the room! that's such a great idea to have in the room for more arboreal snakes to get some enrichment with! do u have a video how u made it?
Do you feed her large or jumbo rats ? Anything else is too small . I want you to do a video of her eating a squirrel 🐿️ and a pigeon . How big was she ? They say bulls and I guess indigo snakes are the largest rat snakes in colubrids cus they grow 8ft some afew in more . That's same size of a dumerils boa and carpet python they just fatter . But idk yours got muscle like a ball python . I want a snake like this to be able to eat variety prey jumbo rats , Norwegian rat , xxL rat , collosal rat , pigeon ,baby duck , small guinea pig , small rabbit 1.5 pd .

A climbing tree is a great addition and think I need to make one.
That thing is a giant! I love the large colubrids! Great video

Looks like a cross between the Northern Vietnamese Morph and the Taiwanese Morph
Do all Taiwan beauty snakes get this big or close to it? Always wanted a bigger snake but Pythons and Boas are illegal here.
Hi man, great content, also I was your 100th subscriber lol so congrats on 100 too 😊👍
That's a huge rat snake...
She needs a WAYYYY bigger habitat. That tree should fit in it! Have fun! She's a beauty, alright.
Were you concerned it would not ever adjust to contact?
She’s gorgeous and built like a boa
That's wild !! I have never seen a ratsnake that big. I kinda one now haha

Tree time should help with her obesity. So cool. Beautiful species 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
That's one massive ratsnake! How big of an enclosure do you need for one of these guys?
Awesome colubrid but I have to let you know that this is actually a blue beauty
Beautiful snake!
What's the name of the song from Sleaford Mods? Couldn't find it. Thanks!

Ptyas Carinata are the largest colubrids in the world. Reaching lengths of 11 to 14 feet.
What if you have other pets and do you have to sit there and watch her
My god my yearling is housed in a. Bigger enclosure..
Amazing content on your channel
Give us an update on toothpaste!
I have one and it’s nice as fuck I have one never have any issues and I never use a stick always pick it up by hand
I just wouldn't use the snake hook with that snake tbh
@@nakedfreak1it's only a Taiwan beauty, not a black mamba
Rat snakes are so cool! that is a particularly large one LOL.
If you can’t have a proper enclosure sounds like you really don’t need that big of an animal…
After the first week of getting her
I have hope for her you were not bit
Black Flag 💯my war.
I thought you would play some black flag✊
