So that thing about his dad not letting him watch Star Trek totally reminds me of my Mom's experience. Of course she was a bit younger and a girl so she got to cry and get her way. It helped that my grandpa served on the aircraft carrier Enterprise so she and her sister had excellent tool for persuasion. It is funny to think they were saying "But Daddy! Their ship is named after yours!" at the same time teenage Jeff was going, "Dad ... please ..."
shoot! it stopped half way through :( we rented out Beyond Re-Animator cus my Dad and i are totall West Loons! we thoroughly enjoyed it and Comb's performance as the infamous West :D x xx
The dominion story was amazingly constructed; you have at the top of the hierachy the Founders who are unique and idealogical, their empire is practically out-sourced and administered by the Vorta who serve as governmental positions. Finally you have the raw backbone of the dominion, the perfect soliders who neither eat, drink or have sex and are loyal till the death; Jem Ha'dar -almost like suicde bombers. Excellent trekkie conception.
Is's great to be able to see and hear clips from the Star Trek conventions,they look like fun. Pitty we don't have them in N.Wales(UK). Why can't a movie be made using the DS9 characters?
