'Breath of the Seasons’' has been my personal project from early 2017 until early 2020.
Living around the Jutland peninsula in Denmark my entire life, what inspired me to make this film was the very difference between winter, spring, summer and autumn in the already diverse Jutlandic landscapes - and the visually beautiful story this has.
To show this cycle in nature through timelapse photography has been a mammoth task and a huge completion for me personally. It has driven me through all spectres emotionally; exhaustion, excitement, despair, joy and everything in between.
The countless hours spent on locations made me see and feel the difference of all four seasons. It opened my eyes to how similar nature actually is to humans; As nature takes a single breath all four seasons play before our eyes until she’s ready for the next breath and it all starts over again.
Energy is everywhere and nothing is at a standstill.
Big thanks to timelapse colleague Henrik Matzen for always supporting and feedbacking along the way.
Praise and thanks to my supportive family for always understanding my need to create.

Once a viking was asked 'Where do you come from?'. He could have said Denmark, as he was a Dane... but he said with a smile 'I come from paradise on earth'. This video makes me humble. To think we live in such beauty everyday, and just take it for granted. It makes me sad that one day, I have to leave all this behind - when I am in heaven already. It reminds me, that the wheel of life just keep on turning and turning. I want to live forever when I watch this video, so I can keep enjoying all the miracles of life around me. But it is not to be - one day I will die, but it makes me happy to think about all the people who will enjoy the miracle of life, and nature long after I am gone :-) What a truly magnificent video. Thank you.
Why would a Viking answer Paradise? Asking for a friend...
This video deserves Millions of views!

Outstanding work!
Simply amazing! Worth several grants when liceenced! But priceless beauty of course!
Thanks so much Shahab!
This is amazing! I love the cinematography and hopefully I can make a video of this quality someday.
How can ANYONE give this a "thumbs down"??? Seriously trolls? It is absolutely incredible! Watch the video about the hours and hours that he took to create this. AMAZING.
There's a lot of small minded people out there...
I can only assume its because they were blinded by the beauty of this video, and then missed the like buttom.
it is Jylland what is their to like ? cow shit and fields ? ofc hours where needed to make it look good, where as if you trip and fall while walking in Norway with your camera on you have a instant planet earth quality nature movie, so props to the guy for making cow shit and fields look good :)
Wallace Gutzmer Because when you use filters, and not real colors, it’s like to see a women with makeup a disappointment, when she removes it. You know deep inside it’s fake,The real world dose not show these colors, so clearly it’s thumps down. The photographer should be true to the nature as we know it. Not fake it
Brilliant!
Breathtaking landscapes. My dear friend is from Jutland. Thank you for sharing your excellent videographic skills through this spectacular short film featuring Jutland.
Thank you very much Simone! :)
Never looked something this good on my monitor
Brought forth strong emotions in me - I think 2020 has made alot of us forget beauty, forget mother earth. So tranquill and beautiful, despite all the noise we humans make.
Thank you maker of this, for making me feel something, I thought was stunted inside me.
I needed this.
Amazing work Jonas, well done! :-)
Wonderful , great job !!
Maravilloso!
Very beautiful and very amazing.
amazing work!!!
