I don't know how. But ... I first heard Madhur Sharma's version. It is good. It's captivating. But I always felt that it's incomplete. So I came here looking for the complete translation of original Nusrat Sahab's qwalli. And the last stanza... Is just what I needed to hear.
Can we get a confirmation from a reliable source? In the last stanza is it "Dukh pichhla hi jogi saanu dena" or "Dukh picchla hi jogi saanu kehna" because both makes sense. First one says "My last heartbreak tells me that please return my heart" and the latter one says "If you too are gonna give me pain like my last lover or if you are going to give me pain too like your last lover... then please return my heart to me..."
Thanks a ton for the translation of this gem.
