我的自学路上也是杂乱无章，整理出自己的一套方法还是受益匪浅的，谢谢分享知识。
其實完全遵守一個學派的家長我也是很少見到，自學能客製化，不就是最大的優點嗎。🙂
Thank you so much for such comprehensive explanation of the various styles. My personal opinion is that the Montessori education system, which is so popular in Taiwan, has failed in most Taiwanese households. The Montessorian ideology cannot be enforced at home. Children who graduate from a Montessori system lack the academic ability that is of great significance in elementary schools across the country. This more than offen puts the Montessorian kids in a disadvantageous position right from the beginning of their formal education. I agree with your conclusion, with a bit of this and that and fine-tuning the approaches for one's own kid(s) is probably the best way out.
With its popularity, I believe Montessori's name and method are probably the most abused. Many schools claim to be Montessori but lack real training. I'm not too familiar with its methodologies for the higher grades, but a trained Montessori friend did tell me that they do have methods for upper-grade levels. So I will still give them the benefit of the doubt. But yes, the general public tends to only apply Montessori methods for early childhood, so that's what we hear about the most. But... I think, in general, with any child-led methods, the parents will need to accept that their child will probably not be well-rounded in all subjects. So it comes down to what kind of education you want for your child.
