    Hi Felix, another tip without any changes on the knife: I added a Firefly firesteel in the toothpick slot of my Hercules. The toothpick fits under the pliers and a ballpoint refill from multicolour pens fits under the woodsaw. The refills are 6.5 cm in length and very thin.
    Your channel is great. I recovered the SAK for me and changed from Multitoold to SAK for my pocket dump. All the best from Germany!

    I did this trick years ago using 2mm thinner fillers. Then I formed a screwdriver, similar to a screwdriver with hot silicone, before that I greased the corkscrew and put a pin in the hole of the filler so that it does not clog. After the silicone cooled, I unscrewed the chemical from the corkscrew, took out the pin and formed a square with a new model. I still make similar devices for Victorinox in a similar way. P.S. Insert the cartridge with the stylus in the opposite direction.

      Another idea for the pencil is to carve a corkscrew groove, so that you can screw it in there for storage or for writing.

    Hi Felix, today I saw your video and what I thought about adding something to write with is to carve a black pencil to size, so as it fits in the corkscrew,I tried it, an it works!! Sure, its really small but it saves you if you don't have anything else.

    I could easily imagine an inexpensive 3-D plastic printer making just the right-sized holder to fit into the corkscrew and to hold a pen cartridge. Perhaps someone should donate such a printer to Felix. With one, I imagine he could turn out a host of useful SAK templates for us.

    Have to tell you another way you can use a can opener on a Swiss army knife. Like I said to you before I work for a garage company. I was doing tires on a scrap trailer on Wednesday night. I went to tighten up the lug nuts for the wheels for the trailer. One of the 10 lug nuts wouldn't tighten up. So I had to try to put a flat head screwdriver behind the lug nut so I could use the air impact gun and back the lug nut back of the stud. So I thought to myself why not use the can opener on my sports man Swiss army knife that little Phillips tip is slim enough. So I gave it a try and used a medium ball peen 🔨 and put the can opener tool behind the lug nut and tap it in behind the lug nut. Got the air in pack gun and backed the lug nut right of the stud. I was really surprised. Wow Swiss army knife did it again. Well the next day I went to use my sports man Swiss army knife again at work I saw the damage from the night before. A little bit of the scale was missing and they layers we're a little banged up. So it's still in Al right working order. Today at work I used a Walker Swiss army knife brand new have a couple of extra brand new models at home. Had to do the same thing again doing front steer tires on a Mack truck with one bad lug nut. Let's just say a 2 layer is way more durable than the Walker it riped the pins out after a couple of hits with the hammer. I was really surprised. Love the videos.

    Ich schwanke nämlich aktuell zwischen einem Handyman mit Plus-Schalen + Kugelschreiber, oder einem Work-Champ, welches keinen Stift hat.

    Does this mean ONE CAN'T GET THE SCALES OFF the Ranger models or the 9.1 cm models? I don't want to replace the micro screwdriver with a pen refill because I always have a couple of pens and a pencil on me (except in bed 😜) so it would just be a backup pen for me.
    A note on English pronunciation if you're interested. The 'lead' in a pencil rhymes with 'head' as in "He has a good 'head' on his shoulders, not 'heed' as in "He died because he did not heed my warning". We never call a pen refill a 'lead'. The, 'lead' in a pencil is so-called because it was made of lead (Pb) before we figured out how to put graphite into a pencil.

    • @lewing348
      @lewing348 3 роки тому

    The Swiss pen fits under the saw or fish scaler on almost all SAK's. You can also modify the scales to fit it in.

    Why don't you use a replacement of a 58mm, as the Minichamp or the signature, straight in the corkscrew?
    It will be easier so far

    Meine Lösung sah anders aus :-D Ich hab einfach so nen Multifunktionsstift gekauft, mit Linealmarkierung, Mini-LED Licht, Philips/Flachschraubendreher und Wasserwaage, so hab ich immer nen gemütlichen Full-size Stift bei mir. Ja, und das 91mm Taschenmesser? Hab ich durch ein 74mm money clip Alox ersetzt, für mich die perfekte Größe eines absolut sozialverträglichen Messers sogar in Konferenzen oder Zug zum Apfel schneiden, mit Klinge, Schere und Nagelfeile.

    Hi Felix, wiedereinmal ein tolles Video. Aber irgendwie kam es mir etwas unfertig vor. Kann auch an auch an mir liegen. Hoffentlich gehen Dir die Ideen nie aus. Würde Freitag Abend was fehlen. LG Ralf

      Du hast absolut Recht. Mit dem Kugelschreiber aus dem Video hat es toll funktioniert. Danach hatte ich auch einige Kugelschreiber bei denen es nicht funktioniert hat. Ich fand einfach nicht die Worte in Englisch um den Sachverhalt genau zu beschreiben. Hätte ich nicht mal auf Deutsch gut hinbekommen :-D

    This definitely seems to be unfinished. How does the pen stay inside the corkscrew? What's that weird bit of plastic in the thumbnail?

    • @FelixImmler
      @FelixImmler  3 роки тому +1

      Just close the corkscrew an the pen refill can't fall out. The weird bit plastic is a pen...

    Ink leaking seems to be a problem with this approach. The thumbnail of the video is misleading as it implies a part of the pen will be attached, not a part of the refill in the cork screw.

    I have my tiny screwdrivers in the corkscrew! I'm always proud to say I haven't lost mine. The only model of Victorinox I bought that didn't come with it is a special HK edition.

      Wenn hinten an abgeschnittenen Röhrchen keine Luft nachströmen kann, produzierst du ein Vakuum und die Stahlkugel empfängt nach kurzer Zeit keine Tint mehr.

      🤔🤔🤔da muss es ne Lösung geben alle kullis sind verschlossen ...im Vakuum also fehlt eigentlich nur der druch das die tinte runter gepresst wird🤔🤔🤔🤔

    Thanks for the videos Felix, Maybe add some melted plastic to the pen refill to last longer. You could use a Firefly holder to hold the pen in the corkscrew or check this video instead you could put a larger cross pen refill in the needle hole. There’s a nice mod at the very end of the video at 15:54 for the pen. Cheers, Chris ua-cam.com/video/hLU_Fle641U/v-deo.html
