You can probably buy the V3 hands from seestern and update your watch, if you have the skills. About the weight of the watch, have you tried it on rubber band? I don't own the watch myself, I have a 6,75 inch wrist.
I have the orange/black version of this with a few different rubber straps. I don't think rubber would fix the issue if you experience it, because it'll still be rather top heavy.
