      @Seven_Leaf 6 місяців тому

      @@1962underdog It's hard to seperate mid 80s-90s toys from the stories/cartoons/games etc they were based on, like TMNT for example, especially if you were a child back then. In reality though most of it was what my father called "cheap plastic crap" at the end of the day. Still, so many long lasting titles came out or were revamped during that 20ish year span compared to post-war lead up and the twenty or so years afterwards it blows my mind. It was literally the renaissance period for practically every form of modern entertainment.

    Anthony, you have an amazing understanding of the process. Some run ads and do other things to spend money to get the word out that they buy vintage toys and then beat up sellers and their toys to just buy it as low as possible. Your advertising is treating sellers with respect and working with them. Every buyer and their dog on UA-cam says never ever ever make the first offer. You are comfortable and confident that you can make an appropriate first offer. Doing that is really hard, but you make look easy. Congrats on being the one that he called to buy his collection.

    This brought back some fond memories followed by disappointment in myself for being dumb and giving all my awesome toy's away to my younger cousins when I started hitting my teenage years. I would of had some big bucks. I was a weird kid that really took care of his toy's and didn't lose most the accessories and even went as far as washing my tonkas which I actually do still have. My grandparents every Christmas from like the age of 2 or 3 would buy a new tonka for my collection to put under the tree until I had all of them. They're mint and packed away at parents place. Had some cool stuff being 80's kid. Now in my 40's this has me wanting to collect some of my old toys like my mask collection, he man, gi joe,transformers,centurions, ninja turtles, hot wheels sets, and more.

    That guy had a great childhood! Buying all of that, at the time would have cost a lot. I had a few bits of a few toy lines -he's got a lot of a lot of toy lines.

    That little baseball helmet jogged my memory of some ice cream store that used to serve kids sundaes in various MLB team helmets and the kids got to keep/collect them. Totally forgot about that!

    Foggy you have to give that guy credit for keeping that collection very nice especially keeping all the pieces and parts togethe not easily done you said something I like very much about not eating all the meat off the bone so true when you're buying big collections you have to break it down it's just too time consuming if you don't love that Knight Rider car thanks for taking us along On To The Next One
