Just try to manage a smile. For the rest of us this would be the opportunity of a lifetime.
You're right. Resting bitch face is a curse. Been told that all my life.. Thanks for the feedback
Mark
@@newflyfisher tough crowd! Sure seems like you were having a great time to me!
Do it with a fly rod in your hand and a smile on your face .this is your office yet you look angry buddy .I will swap with you anyway .great fishing 🎣 tight lines
Great video. You are too funny.
Love the new content. Super professional and modern but with a feel good, down home attitude. Been a big fan for years!
One of my favs guys.....super job.
Another great video Mark. Well done.
Thanks 👍
I'd be in my glory on this trip! The Grilse are lively. What a great area.
It really is!
This looks amazing! I'm living vicariously through this video.
It was!
Just here wishing I was back on the west coast of NL in summer. Last summer on the upper Humber was the greatest fishing experience of my life I absolutely cannot wait for June baby 🎣
Real nice Mark!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice to see another Atlantic salmon destination. Labrador/Newfoundland is definitely adventure. Been stranded there for up to 3 days, and more than once. But I'll put this on my bucket list if Canada ever opens up for business again.
Beautiful
Thank you
Looks like a awesome spot to be. I’ll be looking into this place.
nope Grilse are fish that have spent only one year at sea, Atalantic salmon can return to spawn multiple times but it is rare spawning takes a toll and predation more so, Grilse and Salmon are the same just time at sea, and feeding makes them bigger or smaller. Multi sea winter fish are normally bigger and some can spend 3 years or more at sea and come back pretty huge. But great river nice to see a decent stock of fish and the scenery is stunning, great job and guides
Try fly in wilderness fishing in Alaska, no place compares!
You obviously haven’t been up here to Alaska! Fishing with bears, true wilderness, etc. nothing compares if you get a local Alaskan family run lodge. Simple!😉👍
Just curious, what are the bugs like? Blackflies? Mosquitoes? Not that they would deter me, but just wondering.
they are healthy and fairly abundant but not too bad. windy days are nice!
Wish there were more places like this close to me and open not private
To me, there is nothing more lame than having a guide with you. Do it yourself. That's REAL adventure.
In Newfoundland and Labrador, if you're not a resident of the province, you have to fish with a guide. It's the law.
@@newflyfisher Super duper lame. There's nobody out there. Good luck catching me!
Mark, I noticed you were fishing both right and left handed. Bum wing on one side?
Good eye Dan! .. No, my wings are both fine. I have taken to work on my off-arm casting skills. I want to be able to cast proficiently with both arms. It comes in very handy in certain situations! I'm a terrible righty!
M
@@newflyfisher Before I had my shoulder replaced, I would sometimes fish left handed and it always felt awkward, so I know what you mean. I grew up mostly Calgary, but I am up in Alaska on the Kenai river now. Where is home for you?
Awesome vid, but why wouldn't they build the cabin on the other side of the lake at least? Lol like why have a heli ride, then a boat ride across the river, then finally and 4 km hike to the river. Why not just build the cabin next to the river? Lol
The rivers located in a Provincial Park and the lodge is located just out side the park boundary.
Only for someone tough enough to make the trek… can’t build in a provincial park zone
Guys, nice content. Could you please share the source for the background music?

@@newflyfisher much appreciated. Thank you
Which scientific angler fly line do you use for atlantic salmon fishing?
Hi Julien, I was using the SA Amplitude MPX WF- 8 - F and the WF- 9 - F The MPX line is overlined by a half size and casts like a bomb!
Mark
Epic fishing? Called my Alaska. Simple! No place even compares!😳
takes some big bucks for a trip like that...plus I cant walk that far.
So glad you took the time to comment
Great video! Loved almost all of it. Found music at 45 minute mark really annoying.
Noted, thanks!
@@newflyfisher Have to agree but great video until then
Beautiful video, Awesome scenery. Really annoying music near the end.

I feel sorry for the guide (Scott) I wonder how many times he’s saying in the back of his mind. Thank you captain obvious.
Can you at least get someone who knows how to fly fish learn to mend your line please 🤦♂️
You pay all that money to go to catch an release?? Kinda pointless id say lol
Only way to go catch and release!
