- I recorded this song and 4 more:
Tell Her No
Time Of The Season,
Shes Not There,
Hold Your Head Up (ARGENT)
God Gave Rock and Roll to You (ARGENT)
ROD ARGENT IS WITHOUT DOUBT ONE OF THE ALLTIME GREAT KEYBOARD PLAYERS.
can't hold a note anymore
Absolutely fantastic - what great musicians! Thanks for the post.
I have had the pleasure of seeing Rod many times, once with the original Argent band. He is simply an awesome talent. If people only knew how many things he's done, musically, in his lifetime, they'd be blown away. Unfortunately, most people probably only know him from his work with The Zombies and Argent.
Man alive: I remember seeing Argent play in a small hotel in my home town of Braintree, Essex, England, around the time this song was released. In those days he of course had very long brown hair. The song still sounds as good now as it did 50 years ago.
I FLUENTLY REMEMBER ROD ARGENT, WITH HIS HAIR DOWN TO HIS MID BACK AND SHAKING BACK AND FORTH IN THE WIND, IN NYC 1972. THEY WERE A KICK ASS BAND.
I saw Argent back in the 70's, and I didn't realize Rod Argent was a big part of the Zombies, Now I know, LOL
MASTERPIECE !!!
Thanks for posting this! One of my favorite tunes since it first appeared.
B nice if russ ballard was there too...🤟🤟🤟 ..big song (s) of my childhood ...big radio play of the day...very cool era for transitioning from the 60s into the 70s ...prog and arena rock ...who didnt air piano this ..gary wright and frampton ...

6:44 Green Onions interlude.
Contemporary!
Love it, it's all about the Hammond! But vocals, OMG, that vibrato is just terrible and takes away from this classic favorite.
