Floor started singing with After Forever when she was 16 and had no training at all. She's just a natural soprano. With all her training including opera, she has perfected her voice. IMHO she's the best female singer in the world.

Just in case you have lingering doubts about how she can be so perfect. I had the privilege to hear her sing last year in person (I was only about 6 to 7 feet away from her) and can confirm she is as great in real life as she sounds on this recording.

Floor is a true metalhead and she studied classical for almost 2 years i think and she is the most versatile female vocalist i ever heard and she commanding the stage the crowd eats out her hand by everything she does....some people are born with it and skills you can learn talent you can't but if you have the talent like Floor have and you work your ass off to improve that talent than you have a right to say that you're next level but she never does that because she is a humble person and thank you for your great reaction, realy fun to watch greetings from the Netherlands

Floor makes vocals adjusted to the composition of Tuomas (keyboardist and author of the songs). In the band ReVamp, Floor was the founder and the vocals are more extreme, the sudden changes in vocal styles in the same music create a fascinating roller coaster. But in fact Floor was born for Tuomas' compositions. After Forever is the first band and I already fell in love with it at that time.

When she joined, the band change stage appearance to match Floor's more Metal style and approach to the crowd, than they were used to. Floor is born to rule a stage, and she knows it - and disappears when ever the others are in the light. Their cooperation on stage are incredible - they love and respect each others, loves to perform together - and they show it on stage. Floor's voice - Troy calls it "Stratospheric" - but she also capable at the other side of the scale: "Yours is an empty hope" Wembley 2015 - shows the raw Floor - and still not overdoing anything. Great reaction Anastasia, for your information, Nightwish will be having a Virtual concert May 28th & 29th, tickets available on their web page....A few days ago, after first day of rehearsals, Floor was taken to the hospital and had to have her Gallbladder removed....Wishing Floor is well, and will have a speedy recovery....

Their music flows like water in a river and you float with them. I like to find out something about the personalities of these band members and one video I like is about Floor. It's "Floor Jansen in Dutch show Reunion (Tampere 2015)" . She is a great singer and at the same time beautiful person.
This song is the one that I was shocked when I heard the first time cause almost didn't even remember the original.. But her performance actually makes it something else for sure :)
You really hit the nail on the head exactly when you commented about the abominable crap "music" we are drowning in here in the U.S! I grew up on the hard acid rock of the 1960's and the early prog rock of the 70's but then gave up listening to music entirely for 30 years until I discovered Nightwish! Nightwish does give us hope for the next generation especially because they are being promoted so well by reaction channels like yours! Keep up the good works! :)
the whole band they are perfectionist and yes they do sound like that live so my cousin told me when he went to see them in london im 66 yrs old this november and my son got me into nightwish and i love them floor is a classically trained speaks 4 or 5 different languages and teaches people to sing now you say you loved freddie mercury i went to 2 of queens concerts not to brag lol many moons back lol to me people or singers like freddie and floor were put on this earth to entertain us with there singin abbilitys i ave all of queens music cds and vinyls even met freddie got his autograph and roger taylors 2 i do love my rock music but most days now retired i love to watch videos and play nightwish music and ave to say listened to some your song girl you ave a beautiful voice would love to hear more hopefully

Great reaction Anastasia, for your information, Nightwish will be having a Virtual concert May 28th & 29th, tickets available on their web page....A few days ago, after first day of rehearsals, Floor was taken to the hospital and had to have her Gallbladder removed....Wishing Floor is well, and will have a speedy recovery....

Nice to see you liked this song. Those Peter Pan and blue, blue sky wibes makes you feel good, doesn't it. Nightwish is an amazing band. Their music flows like water in a river and you float with them. I like to find out something about the personalities of these band members and one video I like is about Floor. It's "Floor Jansen in Dutch show Reunion (Tampere 2015)" . She is a great singer and at the same time beautiful person.

This song is the one that I was shocked when I heard the first time cause almost didn't even remember the original.. But her performance actually makes it something else for sure :)
You really hit the nail on the head exactly when you commented about the abominable crap "music" we are drowning in here in the U.S! I grew up on the hard acid rock of the 1960's and the early prog rock of the 70's but then gave up listening to music entirely for 30 years until I discovered Nightwish! Nightwish does give us hope for the next generation especially because they are being promoted so well by reaction channels like yours! Keep up the good works! :)

the whole band they are perfectionist and yes they do sound like that live so my cousin told me when he went to see them in london im 66 yrs old this november and my son got me into nightwish and i love them floor is a classically trained speaks 4 or 5 different languages and teaches people to sing now you say you loved freddie mercury i went to 2 of queens concerts not to brag lol many moons back lol to me people or singers like freddie and floor were put on this earth to entertain us with there singin abbilitys i ave all of queens music cds and vinyls even met freddie got his autograph and roger taylors 2 i do love my rock music but most days now retired i love to watch videos and play nightwish music and ave to say listened to some your song girl you ave a beautiful voice would love to hear more hopefully
