Thanks for sharing you knowledge. I am in the process of converting to Judaism and am so glad I found your video. I was always out of sync during the Amidah, now I am not. :) Thanks again!

You do not bow "Barukh atah Adonai, mechayeh hametim" because of the word hametim which means deads

Too bad you didn't say each and every word of the Amidah rather than rushing through it. It would have been more meaningful.

I hope that people who are in a serious process of conversion look for other videos or books much more serious. Without intention to judge or offend this explanation is very very trivial and improvised. please do not get confused since theAmida is the deepest and most essential part of the prayer and I think it needs to be addressed in another way.

Im sorry but if someone does not take them self or these teachings seriously, they really should not be promoting them. This is not some HOBBY made for bored housewives or something. A person that has recently discovered Judaism and cant read Hebrew probably should not be teaching . This is not about (I like this so I do it). This kind of thinking is for people who are trying to create little worlds of their own and has nothing to do with actual community or real Jewish understanding. Might as well become a Messianic.( I mean there is a Law after all ). This is not all about how much fun one is having or how getting spiritual turns ones crank. People will reject what they consider or call Orthodox because they do not want to be told what to do (not even by G-d) yet at the same time embrace all sorts of activities that stem from oral traditions because they feel stimulated. .(...whatever it means to you.....getting closer to the sky........ personal custom....wooooohuuuuu. ) What the heck is that? Liberal thinking and obedience just do not seem to mesh. Talk about dumbed down. People engaged like this never last and usually drop off and out into secularism in a very short time. Because they need to connect with authority instead of just creating their own. For example. what the hell do women who have no plans of having children or decide to keep their maiden names after marriage want with Judaism? Liberal low self esteem looking to mold Judaism to own ego. Some not even keeping Shabbos. You got people out there with names like Rabbi Johnson and Rabbi Smith. lol. Its ridiculous. Recreating Judaism. Recreating thousands of years of development. I am not questioning ones choice to do as they please. But when it comes to Judaism it has nothing to do with whatever you like. And the modern movements all seem to have something in common. Its not diversity its non conformance to make people comfy. Sorry, that is not Torah at all. The worldly view that as long as you do not offend, everything else is OK. Ummmmmmm, how about NO? This isnt an Avon club.

"Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your G-d my G-d." Ruth 1:16
Abraham and Sarah were not born Jews. One's last name does not dictate one's "Jewishness", only faith in Hashem.

Orthodoxy was the last movement to form and is younger than american Mormonism. You relish in the divide among denominations without realizing we are all Jews and are all on our own paths re:mitzvot. Our name means "Wrestled with g-d" For if Jews never question or wrestle with halacha and mitzvot then we are no better than the xtians who ignorantly use "faith" as an excuse to spread bigotry. You have your panties in a bunch because you believe your Ashkenazic form of Judaism is the only Judaism, ignoring that we come from every country and that there are Jews in the farthest reaches of the earth experiencing Judaism differently than you. Its people like you who make black and Latino Jews feel alienated in the community, its white Jews like you who speak to us like outsiders instead of family members. You should be ashamed of yourself and your lack of love for your fellow Jew for simply experiencing a Judaism that differs from yours. Do you think you make G-d smile with your misogyny towards women? With your prejudice against converts? Do you not think G-d cheers whenever women make advances for their rights? Do you not think G-d laughs with joy with every convert that bathes in the mikveh and declares to love G-d with their entire soul? Disgraceful. Que lastima.

We muslims love and respects Moses than you, and follows the commandments of Almighty as he directed the same. Ebraham, Moses and Jesus are Muslims and prophets and the sequence of the prophets ended on Muhammed (peace be upon him). If you believe in a life here after, or not, All the facts will be vividly cleared in the world after death.
