All the hairs on my neck are all spiked. I’m trying to learn this solo, you inspire me to keep going. I’m a late leaning, one for the over 70s brilliant.
Hi Helen, Jeff here from Sax School of old. This is great and i am just in the process of starting to learn this phrase by phrase. Can I ask where you got the backing track from without the actual sax . hope you are well
Thank you for your supportive comment! Appreciated. I started playing 2 1/2 years ago and always wanted to play this solo. Tinkered with it over that time but really got to grips with it during lockdown last year. Learning the notes is the easy bit, breathing and personalising it with inflections took more time 🤗🎷🎶
Great job Helen
Absolutely beautiful
Oh, thank you very much.

Incredible the way you captured Wesley Magoogan’s soulful style. One day I hope to play this piece half as well as you do.
Thank you Rob. Appreciate that. With practice I’m sure you’ll get there.

@@helengordon-saxophone Incredible, please keep it up 🙏🏽
How do you know she is actually playing this? For all you know she could just be miming to a backing track.
Oh how I smiled at this. I take that as a compliment . 3 years of practicing it before recording, definitely me! 🤣
Well played exactly like the original. Xx
Oh my, thank you.
MINT
Thanks Brian!
