yah, I sound British only whenever I read and pronounce it in British English.
It's just a matter of getting used to it, you've probably been listening to american English (and repeating it) for way longer. If you really wanna change or adapt the way you speak, keep practising, don't hurry, and that's gonna start feeling more natural soon enough. I've been there, too. Wish you the best, cheers.

I am at 2:21 am learning this. It's kind difficult, for in Spanish you don't have those sounds.

This lesson is so well organized, well explained and uses very common words. This guy is an outstanding teacher, probably the smartest I've ever seen. He knows what he is doing.
+Silvio Martins Damn. Thanks Silvio! So nice of you!
I love the British pronunciation, it sounds so refined and elegant.
I have a school trip in England this year and I'm trying to learn and accomodate to the british accent. I find it easy because I'm quite good in english and we have similar sounds in french.
Thank you Papa English; big love from France!
You pronounced "art" in the American way perfectly👌
Every time you ask "How would an American say it" you're usually already dead on accurate

@@josecharts Yes! Me too; as an American who speaks English well. I grew up in New England and the accent was much like the old English. Now in California, my accent is mostly gone. We pronounce "r" which seems to me to be why an r exists in a word, unless silent (rare or never).
Actually British is more relaxing to speak rather than the American accent. After practicing it for a while it made me uncomfortable speaking in my normal accent (I'm Filipino btw).
Law Rence The same with me!
I spoke American English, learned British English for 2 month, and the America. Accent is so unusual to me. It sounds sort of wrong (it isn‘t, but it just sounds to me, because it is not natural for me to say it like that!).

The trick of keeping the tongue down help tremendously to pronounce the words! I speak American English with a French Canadian accent. British English pronunciation is less of a mystery after listening this video.
Amazing! The best accent and the best online teacher I’ve ever seen. Thanks a lot for making learning easy for a non-native speaker! I am really appreciating every component shown here. Thanks.
Yours faithfully,

You're the best teacher ever. You've got a gift for it. I laughed while I was watching the video.
I used to attend a British Private School in a different country up until my last year of elementary (by using that word you can guess that I'm American) school. I moved to the US in 5th grade (Year 6) and completely forgot my accent and developed an American one. Listening to this video, I remember all of these words and how I used to pronounce them, it's a real flashback of the past. I'm now in high school (and still visit all my old friends in the other country) and they constantly mock my accent haha.
Perfect! Will use these tecniques to teach my students ;)
Thanks

Long live native English speakers who pronounce their 'r's! I'm from Northern Ireland ans we LOVE our 'r's !! Having said that, great video.

I love British English [& accent], and I come from Solomon Islands where English is the third language [& we seldom speak it]. I watched a lot of American movies + British movies and most of my in-fluence is coming from films and books. Sometimes I would read [any] sentence and imitate the British accent because I find it overwhelmingly satisfying [both hearing it and speaking it]. Thank you for the lesson misour linguini.

This video is /pə.ˈfek.ʃən/! Keep 'em British accent videos coming!
+Tiago F Btw, please do a video on the minimal pairs: bot/bought, not/naught, shot/short etc. I can hardly tell the differece between those and therefore end up pronouncing them wrong quite often!
+Rustoro Actually, every word in those pairs is short. There's a difference in the use of vowels. Remember that when a vowel is followed by a /t/ (or other sounds that are produced without vocal fold vibration), as in these minimal pairs, vowels are shortened (clipped). So what you do in this case is to produce a different vowel sound :)
Romi Clavier You're right. So much so that the phonetic transcription for bot is /bɒt/, whereas the one for bought is /bɔːt/ etc - different symbols for different vowel sounds.
+Tiago F Exactly!
Don't be deceived by the little dots following those vowels because they aren't always long sounds! ;)
