I saw theory that Steve was a traitor however it wasn’t in the way you think, basically the theory is that somewhere along the line Steve had gotten kidnapped and then a member of the illusion coven had replaced him, the evidence for the theory was a slightly different pitch in his voice and certain moles on his face changing where they were in this episode compared to the last one
I hope to god that's the case cause otherwise, I will lose my mind! Please don't let it actually be Steve, please let it be someone disguised as Steve or someone else!
Luz saying "Crikey" after the kiss did not come as a surprise to me. It makes a lot of sense for her to have watched a lot of Steve Irwin... even if the videos are old, it wouldn't matter to her. Have you seen how calm she was when the snakes were biting people "Oh, that's where the backup snakes were."
Also, in one of the S1 episodes we see her recording King playing with a sock, and she does what you could argue is an Australian accent! At the time I assumed it was a David Attenborough impression, but Steve Irwin does better match her hands-on approach. It's also worth noting that she obviously got this part of her personality from her mom, who we see crying at a nature documentary right before Vee's spooky introduction. This also handily explains why Luz would have been watching a 30 year old series, since it would be Camilla sharing her childhood icon with her daughter
Yo what if the draining spell literally is just Belos putting Eda's curse on everyone. It's not a break in the plan for Eda to be there (like kikimora said) but it's the whole plan since all of Belos's eyes are on the Owl lady... it also would flesh out a big point in the owl creatures past. The collector dealt with the owl beast before so maybe that was the idea he gave belos! Just use the owl beast black draining ability to kill everyone!
God, that actually would make alot of sense, we already were shown the consequences of what Eda using bard magic after the curse completely rid her of it does. Almost destroyed Herself, Raine, Darius and Everwolf. And we also know just how aware of everything Belos has been because of Luz and Lilith's trip back in time, I mean Lilith herself stated in a recent episode she was bad at her job ( and didn't know that coven heads were plotting things) and Belos kept her near anyway- just to have every event go as he planned, which we first saw pan out in the time travel episode.
@@spencerthompson9595 The collector was in the owl beast's flashback, so it makes sense that the collector could have informed Belos about the corrupting effect of the curse.
Eda's curse messes with magic and pretty much destroys what it's used on so if this is right and he wants to use her curse(I hope I am wrong about this) because when it affects everyone with a sigil it wont just takeaway magic but it will kill them.
So the snapdragon is actually just a type of flower from Raine and Eda’s hill, we’ve seen that Raine likes keeping them in their workspace, even in their flashbacks when they decide to rebel we can see the flowers in a vase! Raine doesn’t trust Terra, so I doubt there is plant magic involved, but rather Raine is sentimental and still in love with Eda (duh) and keeps the flowers around. Also, Darius looks to be staring at a poster we can’t see the details of, not the flowers. I highly doubt any of the characters themselves are the mole, except for the possibility of Raine doing something stupid again so Eda would be captured and taken to safety. Otherwise, Amber didn’t talk and Steve had his moles in the wrong spots, so one or both of them could be illusions. Or Belos has some sort of magic in the sigils allowing for him to overhear and track the CATs. As for Eda and her magic, she must be a part of the spell itself, destroying the tower isn’t useful. The spell likely has a lock on it, only allowing nine witches to get into the spell, each using their badge as shown when creating an illusion during a coven head meet, along with a sigil. I believe that either the worst animation error ever happened, or more likely story wise, Raine came up with a new plan. This would explain why Eda isn’t using an illusion when landing. I think if a last minute sacrifice were to happen, it would be Raine dying or sacrificing themself only to be saved or something. This is because in “Them’s the Breaks, Kid”, at the end we see Raine replicate the effects of Eda’s curse on bard magic, decaying paper in the same way that Eda would, but without the curse. This means that if Raine has been practicing and studying it in order to be the one to sacrifice themself rather than Eda, the plan could change, with Raine making the ultimate sacrifice to protect Eda.
so I wasn't the only one who noticed the paper decaying part of that episode. I thought it might have been important but then later on I kind of leaned on how maybe not, but perhaps now we will see that it is, and it turns out rhat Raine got the curse partially as well, but never told it to anyone.
@@fictions_in_motion_07 I feel that it could either be not important at all or the biggest detail ever to foreshadow next episode. I get the concept of that scene just having that detail to further show the audience that Raine is super smart, but the self taught whistling and incredible acting was enough to show us that. The Owl Beast Curse is really unique, it’s not even from the boiling isles, so unless Raine found some way to share the pain without one of the Clawthorne sisters noticing anything, it feels like Raine either got another curse with similar effects, or they are just an absolute genius who found a way to replicate the effects the curse has on bard magic. In Eda’s Requiem, the first time Eda plays the requiem, we see afterwards how Raine is observing the effects, and later they tell Eda that the curse can be used as a weapon, an asset. Raine is really smart, and figured out a lot about how to use Eda’s curse considering that when the two broke up, Raine seemed to never see Eda transform into the owl beast, and Eda seems to only have told Raine that the curse “messes with magic” I’m hoping the two episodes showing Raine’s creative and innovative use of bard magic and the curse will be great foreshadowing for what is to happen next episode.
What if Luz's palisman turns out to be some kind of amalgam creature? So the theory of it being a serpent, bat, otter and bird are all technically correct? I think that'd be a really awesome twist. And it's really unique compared to everyone else's palisman.
@@i_do_arts7590 That would honestly be really really cool to see. And the palisman would really be one of a kind, perfect for Luz who (aside from Belos) is the only human on the Boiling Isles.
@@chickennuggies5587 That also would be really cool!! It would also be sweet, considering bird palismen are mostly a Clawthorne thing, i feel like it'd symbolize Luz becoming part of the family. :)
But why would she get a snake if her dreams were about her Idol being against it? There are plenty of other reasons why it could be a snake or at least part snake, but that doesn't seem like a good point.
@@uniwolfgamer1094 well luz actually has a pet snake as seen in episode 1 when she brought it to school so it wouldn't bee entirely impossible for it to be a snake. Especially when you consider that eda has a whole bunch of owl related things going on including her palismen being one as well
@@samurexatlas7373 I'm saying that it is very much possible that at least part of her palisman will be snake, just not for the reason of Azura fighting snakes since that's akin to fighting herself.
I think the riddle talks about King because "He no longer dreams of kings" is kind of hinting at how King doesn't want to be a king anymore. Also, in the last section, "As below his father ..." I'm thinking it will end with *lies* if it did, it would make so much sense. Because as we now know, King's father is the titan that *lies* at the Boiling Iles.
I mean, the snapdragon is also a symbol for eda and raine, plus raine being the spy makes no sense and remember, they were faking their brainwashing. Also i think the traitor is steve, bc he was being suspicious in this episode..
Raine wouldn’t be a spy, but knowing the lengths they have gone to go protect Eda, who knows who they are willing to make deals with the get Eda and her kids to safety, instead using their bard magic and trying to corrupt it like Raine did at the end of Them’s the Breaks, Kid. And yes, the snapdragon definitely isn’t Terra at all, Raine hates her and there’s no way they got the flowers from her and just put them into the hideout. We’ve seen in the flashback in Eda’s Requiem that Raine keeps snapdragons in their work space in a vase, probably sentimental and still in love with Eda, the flowers from the hill the two went on dates on probably.
This episode was insane: that kiss and change in animation is the highlight, as was the switch up between Luz and Hunter. But oh my god; I knew that Odalia was a bad mother but the episode shows that she is straight up a sociopathic monster who is aiding a genocidal madman in wiping out her own race all so she could profit off it. This woman is irredeemable. At first, I thought she had no clue what she was getting into by working for Belos, and perhaps she and Alador can switch sides to avert the Day of Unity. Nope. She is more than willing to sell out her own race. She is a horrible excuse for a wife and mother, and I really hope that should the Day of Unity happen, she is the first one to fall victim to it.
@@robby7499 well it goes to show that odalia doesn't care about Alador at all since she was willing to let him die , and don't forget odalia had long sleeves and we have have never seen her arms possibly due to fact she is hiding the fact she doesn't have a sigil
Maybe, for the Cypher, its: "Seething Seas and Puppet strings, he no longer dreams of Kings, as above rush darkened skies, as below his father lies", talking about King, with the season Finale being called Kings Tide. The "He no longer dreams of Kings" might mean that King no longer thinks he used to be a a Tyrant/King. Just speaking my mind.
I suspected as much that it was referring to King. This season was heavy on King, and last was heavy on the mystery of the curse (I.e., the relationship of Lilith and Eda). The "seething seas" probably refers to the boiling sea, or the unusual unrest in the boiling isles. Puppet strings seem to be referring to the Collector, since he has a cult. King is also linked to the Collector as well. It's also a phrase referencing King's development.
Remember when luz was arguing with hunter about friends not stabbing each other on the back?, Hunter said "of course they do, the coven heads do it all the time back in the castle". I still don't trust darius or eberwolf
I hope that Raine isn’t the mole in the C.A.T.S. and I also hope that Raine stopped Steve from giving Eda a sigil. Interesting and cool vid. I think that rat or mouse that looked like Alador is maybe his palisman.
4:10 Actually in the episode, they said she needs a sigil because the draining spell will use them to channel magic thru the coven heads. It's not just for disguise
So you're theory about Terra spying through the snap dragon plant is interesting if it it wasn't for the fact that it's more than likely a call back to the flashback were Raine breaks up with Eda in that field of flowers. Plus personally given we haven't seen anything from the Oricale coven head it's possible their the one's doing the spying using high tier magic.
I think the traitor is King unintentionally, this being due to the connection with the Collector. I could totally see the Collector ease dropping through King without him even being aware of it happening, informing Belos of Cat's Plans and that's how the Emperor's Coven Knows.
Speaking of things that could either be a clue or an animation error, I've seen people point out that Steve's moles weren't in the same places in that shot where he's about to brand Eda.
I feel like her Palisman might be a swan as a callback to when 5 was throwing away Luz's things and her mom mentioned that she used to make a lot of swans from tin foil.
@@melissasawicki8989 ya know if you don't want to listen to theories then I highly suggest you go to other videos or perhaps stay away from the comment section all together but one thing is for certain. He who critizes the clever ideas of others often does so because they have none of thier own thank you
It could be Terra, or maybe Everwolf. We don't know... their motivations, so maybe they're the spy. I don't know Eber's pronouns, so I went with they-base.
I just noticed when Kikimora goes to grab the golden guard, "Luz" (Hunter) uses his gold colored speed magic to push Willow to safety! And Gus' hands were circled with illusion magic. On my first watch of the episode I didn't realize Luz and Hunter had switched until the reveal lol
I have a theory about how the emperor can spy on Eda and the others. So when Luz is in "the in-between realm" she can simply say someone's name and see them. So what if The Collector can also do this, that would explain how Belos always knows what's going on. Or I could be totally wrong, there are a couple holes in this theory
What's worse is that odalia likely isn't branded since she was able to use illusion magic and her children are not branded either so while she and her children would potentially survive but Alador would die a horrible death
i had the same thoughts about eda getting branded. i thought it might've been a little mistake because it's happened before, but the detail in this episode really makes me doubt it, like, the gap in hunter's teeth when he's disguised as luz, the tiny little coven brand on kikimora, details as small as making a callback to a previous episode with the precinct 206 sign. i just doesn't see likely that the crew would forget something this vital in a shot like that.
Seething seas and puppet strings, he no longer dreams of kings, as above rush darkened skies, as below his father *lies* I'm calling it now. It matches up with King's arc throughout the series, and it rimes like the first few lines. His father, or at least one of his kind, lies below them, forming the Iles they call home. Most of his character development took place off on other islands, out in the Boiling Sea. He clearly has some connection to the Collector, which would likely be the puppet master. The Day of Unity takes place during an eclipse when the sky goes dark. And most importantly, King mentioned that he doesn't want to be feared or the King of Demons anymore, with his new dream being to just have people who care about him.
The poem could be talking about King. "As below his father..." the next word could be lies? As in King's father is the Titan quite literally below their feet. And "He no longer dreams of kings" could be referencing how King no longer wishes to be some great and powerful ruler and just wants to live normally
I noticed that the flower was the same flower in Eda's flash back when trying to control and understand her curse, so I think Rain probably put it there or just the animators to give a nice little Easter egg 😊
With the Draining Spell, having Eda have a Sigil would make it corrupt only the Coven magic. So it could stop the spell that way because Belos is draining Coven magic, not Wild. Just thought I point that out for you.
My interpretation wasn't that Eda needed the sigill to blend in, but that through the brand marks of the coven heads the rest of that coven's magic would be filtered. So Eda needed a brand to poison all bard magic that would then be channeled through her in the draining spell, thus messing the whole spell up.
I have another theory on the mole that I posted on the subreddit that I feel like would be impactful and would lead to a lot of angst for one character that has gotten a lot more important in many ways, King. Not by his own volition, but through the collector, because we know from edge of the world that they are now somewhat linked, and that King can see glimpses into what they’re up to, what’s to say that that the collector didn’t over hear that king was a Titan and it peaked their interest and kept listening (that or they only heard about The CATTS plan and their snooping started there) That also would call back to how important it is that no one else knows King is a Titan, so we could have like a double reveal that Belos knows he’s a Titan and he starts to spiral and distrust everyone only to find out he was the one who doomed himself and everyone he loves. Because I feel like even though he’s a fan favourite and his betrayal would be heart breaking it’s still too easy, Darius is also too easy and the Rain theory feels off, unless they’re a grimwalker replaced during Eda’s requiem, but idk if they would have all their memories because Hunter didn’t so that theory has got some holes
1. The collector wouldn't tell belos, he doesn't trust he will remain "friends" with him. 2. Grimwalkers take as long as a normal person to grow and we don't know of any faster way.
“Seething seas” is probably referring to the human realm “and puppet strings” may refer to Hunter. “As above rush darkened skies” HAS to be talking about the draining spell. I don’t know about the rest though.
I haven't actually watched the show, so correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the oceans in the witch realm boiling? 'Seething' can be used for both rage and boiling water. A metaphor for when someone is angry is that their blood 'boils'. When water seethes, it's rapidly moving and is usually hot.
I freaking loved this episode, i'm still getting over the excitement from witnessing Luz and Amity finally kissing on the lips i mean the wait was definitely worth it but still. and i was glad to see Amity and family finally stand up to Odalia as usual her behavior was so inexcusable in this episode more than ever and the fact that she knew about Belos's plan all along and that she thinks that the Blight's will prosper from it, all i can say is i can't wait to see all of that blow up in Odalia's face when she realizes that she was a fool. And i also can't wait to see what Luz's Palisman will be but i'm sure it'll be awesome no matter what it turns into. and as for Raine by the looks of it i wouldn't be surprised if in the next episode it turns out that they had second thoughts about the sigils thing. In conclusion, the fact that King can still see and possibly communicate with the Collector makes me think that King just might be able to play an important role in stopping the day of unity like maybe he'll try to get the Collector to switch sides.
I think that the last hidden code is rise Seething sea's and puppet strings's he no longer dreams of kings, As above rush darkened skies as below his father will rise.
Hey! Maybe..... did U see the Promo Art that came out today, YEAH, TODAY (Monday the 23rd), it DOES look like it's suggesting a King GROWTH SPURT, but that's a guess.
I actually knew that hunter and luz exchanged places by the yellow dash thingy that "luz" did and I was like "what the, luz has hunters magic?" and then in the end I realised what it was and also by how hunter was looking at his hands as luz I also saw that
Also when kiki was shielding herself with the hunterd luz, you can see luz’s mouth shape on the zoom in, though i havent heard anyone talk about the tooth gap with luzed hunter so good find ^v^
Also, I feel like Liz is going to get a snake with bat wings, she wants to help people like everyone does for her, the snake is a logo for a hospital, and what is her mom? A doctor or nurse, Luz also makes hissing sounds all the time, and lests not forget the first episode with the snakes. And now the bat wings, well you already said why and I feel like Luz wants to hangout with the bat queen more, hell, we might have had an episode with Luz and Bat Queen but Disney said no to a full season 2 and 3.
9:27 it is almost certainly not an animation error. They even animated "luz" using the teleport hunter uses, and we later find out it IS hunter. Edit: they show it at 12:54. Look
I believe Belos has the power to see what others are doing wherever they are. Recall in Season 1 when he told Luz, Willow, and Gus that he would know that they stole the healing coven artifact. If not, then I believe it would be the collector who would be spying on Belos' behalf since they are trapped in the in-between world. Just my thoughts.
The snapdragons are also in the scene where we see a young adult Eds and Raine on a date. My biggest worry about the whole Eda corrupting the draining spell is that Belos was banking on it to happen somehow
Honestly I think the mole could be Steve just cuz it makes the most sense (tho I hope not). And also I hope that Raine stopped Eda from being branded, she should be able to continue doing magic.
Anyone ever notice that in this episode , luz’s gylph made a circle when using it, this never happened during s1, when she battled belos Oh yeah also: In case anyone hasn't noticed, Luz's new hair in the episode looks just like Alador's when he was younger in the picture from reaching out omg i just checked, even the outfit looks similar!!!
She was able to activate the glyphs from a distance when she had owlbert and now she has the palisman egg in her backpack so maybe palisman were made by ancient witches to perform magic before they had bile sacs
I think Luz's palismen will be a griffin It was forshawed in the first episode where luz was being scoled in the principal's office and them bringing up how she let free spiders with a griffin presentation. And I already know what you're ythinking "aren't palismen simple earthly creatures?" well 1. most palismen we see in the owl house were carved by others to suite them Ex: Hexisde Palismen Day 2. The clawthrones have always been asscoiated with Earth leading to how Eda decovered the door and why their palismen are birds and *3. Witches are from the magic realm and their palismen are shaped from human realm creatures so since luz is from the human realm wouldn't it make sense for luz's palismen to be a magic realm creature*
Good job on catching when Luz was Hunter in Gus’s allusion; I didn’t catch that the first time I watched this episode. This was after the first time that I watched this episode. Spoiler Alert: My thoughts on Clouds on the Horizon: The collector can make multiple of it’s shadows; that’s interesting. No intro that’s not good. Eda only wants the five of the people who already know that King is a Titan just between them. Eda may have gotten a sigil and I hope that her curse stops the draining spell. I’m glad that Luz met back up with her friends. Hunter doesn’t want other people to know that he is a grim walker; which makes sense. Luz not wanting to tell her friends that she helped Philip that also makes sense. Then they’ll helped Amity and her brother and sister escape being grounded. While they’ll were doing that Willow used her plant magic while having one eye closed which is interesting. Then she used them again and both her eyes were the green circle like they have been in the past and she had to pull back when she was about to hit Hunter or maybe Luz. I liked when King was talking to Alador on the swings and I wonder if King told Alador that he is a Titan. Those concealment stones work really well. Gus can make an allusion for a while but when he gets tired he can’t do the allusion anymore. I was a little surprised that somehow Hunter and Luz swapped places so that Luz would be taken to Belos. I hope that Eda disguised as Raine doesn’t notice Luz and then get worried about her because she can’t talk in that disguise. I think Amity’s abomination magic got stronger and she was able to escape out of the abomination handcuffs. Odalia knew about the draining spill and is still helping Belos. One thing I forgot to mention is that King is connected with the collector. I also hope that Luz doesn’t get possessed by the collector. Also I wonder what Luz’s palisman is going to be and maybe it can help her when she sees Belos again. I’m nervous and excited for the next episode next Saturday.
Same! This is one of the main reasons why I really don't think it is Raine despite the suspicious attitude they have and red flags they're raising. Worse case scenario though, Raine will break free from Terra's manipulations, so even if they are the mole, it won't define the character 🤞
About Eda being part of the draining spell: nope Belos was full on planning to have Eda petrified/turned to stone so he wouldn't be able to use her curse after that. And I'm pretty sure his plans didn't drastically change after so many years just because he learned about the effects of the curse - so no, Eda is definitely not the secret part of the draining spell Belos is planning, when he was fully willing to get rid of her beforehand.
Uggghhhh.. I hate that I have this thought: what if King has to sacrifice himself for his family?! 😵😖😣 I feel that they would do something to kill him off in a sad way.... by they, I mean the show creators
@@samurexatlas7373 It’s the one by Bridget Underwood- Dana has it shared on her Instagram story atm so it should hopefully be easy to find. It shows just King’s skull left on the ground with a crack going through it
@@nikolutke5111 We know that's simply a Titan's... I dunno if it's actual bone or just a protection thing when they're children. Because on one hand if it's actual bone that make the Eclipsians/Titan Trappers that much more sinister. But if it's not they could be collected from all the titans that grew up.
I’m starting to think that there’s a reason for why below hasn’t done anything (that we know of) to stop the draining spell and also why Kikimora even told Luz that Belos knew. What if instead of Eda’s curse corrupting the spell stopping it completely, it actually ends up being the final ingredient needed for the draining spell. I mean the collector was the one that made the owl beast curse
The snapdragons can be seen in Eda's Requiem in the flashback as something important to their relationship. I hope Terra didn't corrupt that memory by using it to spy on the Catts :(
Honestly, a tiny bit of me is convinced that Kiki was bluffing, just assuming there'd be a plot & using that assumption to manipulate Luz. However, that is a bit far-fetched, so I choose to go with the Steve-doppleganger theory
That was my theory when I watched this episode! Raine's facial expression during the supposed branding scene told me that they most likely did something to stop it. I was waiting until someone else started the same theory online, Thanks for bringing this up!
thank you so much for the video!! i missed you! 😄 the way you present your theories always gives me a sense of calm it excitement, never anxiety (which i felt a-plenty after the episode was over :D)
Also, Animation gets better in important scenes for many things. Such as when luz discovered the light glyph. King swaying was very high quality in that scene ( the intruder s1)
I think the secret code is about king. The fist words are seething seas and the final episode is called kings tide. He no longer dreams of kings is probably related to oh titan where art thou when king tells Steve he doesn’t want to be Sean as a monster. As above rush darkened skies is related to the day of unity as it happened a on an eclipse. As below his father something I think is related to kings tide. Maybe king moves the water away from the Isles like a tide and finds the collecter. Kings father isnt below but the I think the colecter is below kings father the titan.
"Seething Seas and puppet strings, he no longer dreams of kings, as above rush darkened skies as below his father..." My best bet is "Lies" or "Dies", leaning more towards "lies" Oddly enough I read it with the collector's voice in my head telling that to King. Think about it Last season was all about Eda's curse and Lilith's betrayal. Two witches. The last episode's name "Agony of a witch" This season's looks linked to King since many major episode's were related to his origin story. King himself. The last episode "King's Tide" Seething seas and puppet strings, he no longer dreams of kings could relate to the boiling isles itself, being surrounded by people that has been just handled like puppets towards belos's agenda while the day of unity is coming closer, and on last episode while all of this is happening along with knowing who he is, he just no longer wishes to be considered a superior or to be adorated like before just be normal. Therefore "He no longer dreams of kings" "As above rush darkened skies" doesn't seem complicated as really we all know it might be to either the day of unity or something really tragic happening soon. Like being told that the Titan who is his father, lies below. Lets think this through on that episode in which King was still in the egg he heard someone saying "Son" and then went back to sleep. That would maybe be either the battle with bill or when his father died at the hands of the collector. As for the time congruency on how an isle sized corpse probably already decaying for a few thousand years already I will just remit to that poster on Bill's chambers "the grand huntsman cannot return to us until the lost son is found by someone worthy" which may mean there was probably a spell cast on his egg chamber matching Eda being born and then afterwards finding the place? The titan's will has been hinted as something real or something what with belos having issues finding the glyphs and the isle where King was found never being found whereas Eda and Luz just stumbled upon those. Also Im about 90% sure that the mural on King's castle showcased the trappers and the collector against the Titan there is a comet there that oddly enough has over it a sad emoji face that looks like the collectors one. But HEY thats justa Theory! a fan theory. xD just food for thought
Seething seas is a reference to the boiling part of the boiling isles, the entire poem is about King, during the eclipse of the Day of Unity, atop the boiling isles, which is where his father... wel, lies
I knew Odalia wasn't gonna be everyone favorite Owl House character, but this episode really amp up that dislikes even more. She's a extremely prideful, self-centered, sociopathic, narcissistic control freak. Who doesn't care about anyone/anything else but her own self images and is more than willing to threaten and harm whoever is in her way, even if it's her own familiars, she was more than okay with knowing Belos plans for the Day of Unity as long as she believes that she's be save and granted royalty in Belos's new world.
puppet strings= King is connected to the collector, collector is trapped below the titan's bones(hallow mind) so below kings father so maybe its talking about king and the collector bieng connected! that's only my theory...
Based off the clues, "he no longer dreams of kings" and "below his father" the message might be about King. If the boiling isles is King's father than the next part may be something to do with the Collector. And the "he no longer dreams of kings" part may be about King realizing he doesn't want to be worshipped anymore. This is just a theory but I think it makes sense 😅
I think the code is about King and it's going to be lies. Using someone else's suggestion that I think is fitting, her palesmen might hatch to a griffin with spider breath, referencing back to the first episode. I wonder if the plan laid out in the hideout of the CATS is a cover plan because Rain feels something over their shoulder. I mean, they're not evil, but they do still have a powerful person breathing down their back so there is an act to be kept up. I bet that they prevent eda from getting the sigel and they look for other ways. I also feel king is going to play a STRONG role in the outcome in the last episode. I'm quietly hoping that since that slice of life date has been promised in episode, we'll actually get to see it.
Quite a few of these became true SPOILERS FOR S2EP21 With Belos getting rid of The collector after being done using them King making a deal with The Collector and that deal making a more horrid situation I'M HOPING THAT STEVE IN THE CATS WAS JUST AN ILLUSION AND THAT STEVE WAS KIDNAPPED, it sounds bad, but it's a better thought than Steve being a traitor Raine did end up keeping Eda safe! As long as...not everyone died during what the Collector did... And with the Eda being branded, we are shown that she NEEDED to be branded, or else it would not have worked, as she was on the tower, but since she was not in the spot of a coven head, she did not impact the spell.
What if, similarly to Luz switching with hunter, Raine gave the illusion stone to Steve, or one of the bards to act as eda, meaning the eda we saw last was an illusion and the real eda will be able to sneak to the head and play the melody since everybody's eyes are on fake eda

True That, also I believe it was a shout-out to Australian animator Tom Barkel, who created the kiss scene.
She had all his old movies and shows on VHS because her mom loved watching them after working at the vet office because it helped her relax
That’s awful but so Dana- why Dana WHYYYY
Oh my god
I couldn't of said it better
I hope the collector swaps sides in realization
God, that actually would make alot of sense, we already were shown the consequences of what Eda using bard magic after the curse completely rid her of it does. Almost destroyed Herself, Raine, Darius and Everwolf. And we also know just how aware of everything Belos has been because of Luz and Lilith's trip back in time, I mean Lilith herself stated in a recent episode she was bad at her job ( and didn't know that coven heads were plotting things) and Belos kept her near anyway- just to have every event go as he planned, which we first saw pan out in the time travel episode.
WAIT... The Collector was the one who made the curse in the first place! :O
I believe Eda's curse is the key to the Belos' plan. I think her corrupting the drained magic is what's supposed to destroy all magic.
It would make some crazy sense!
@@spencerthompson9595 The collector was in the owl beast's flashback, so it makes sense that the collector could have informed Belos about the corrupting effect of the curse.
@Vixe Vinweria the foreshadowing is there!!! Oh this show is so well made!
"I'll do anything to protect humanity from evil"
Pulling a Thanos is 100% in character.
I hope neither of them die. But if wishes were fishes we’d all be fishes.
so I wasn't the only one who noticed the paper decaying part of that episode.
Raine is really smart, and figured out a lot about how to use Eda’s curse considering that when the two broke up, Raine seemed to never see Eda transform into the owl beast, and Eda seems to only have told Raine that the curse “messes with magic”
I’m hoping the two episodes showing Raine’s creative and innovative use of bard magic and the curse will be great foreshadowing for what is to happen next episode.
What if Luz's palisman turns out to be some kind of amalgam creature? So the theory of it being a serpent, bat, otter and bird are all technically correct? I think that'd be a really awesome twist. And it's really unique compared to everyone else's palisman.
I honestly believe it's gonna be a pokemon mix matched out of all of those theories
@@i_do_arts7590 That would honestly be really really cool to see. And the palisman would really be one of a kind, perfect for Luz who (aside from Belos) is the only human on the Boiling Isles.
My theory is that her palisman will be a phoenix
@@chickennuggies5587 That also would be really cool!! It would also be sweet, considering bird palismen are mostly a Clawthorne thing, i feel like it'd symbolize Luz becoming part of the family. :)
Imagine it hatches and it's just a second, smaller egg.
Maybe Luz gets a Snake, since her two Luzura daydreams were against a snake, it'd be great foreshadowing. Maybe even a Caduceus, a symbol of healing.
Especially when you consider that eda has a whole bunch of owl related things going on including her palismen being one as well
@@ronaldmcdonald6740 I know, that's why I said there's plenty of other reasons. But this one isn't right since she wouldn't fight herself.

The mole could be someone who was captured and replaced. Swapping people through the use of illusions was a major part of this episode after all.
Illusion Steve
I agree
Odalia may not have a sigil since she can perform illusion magic so it makes even worse
Ong
@@dylangarcia3898 Yes....now she won't "die" without one. Which is bad also because of the fact she would be a "wild witch" in that scenario.
I got it correct!
There’s a chance there actually isn’t a mole within CATS. There is an Oracle coven head that we haven’t seen anything from yet
Interesting point actually I dont think I've seen anyone mention that
oooh right
Remember when luz was arguing with hunter about friends not stabbing each other on the back?, Hunter said "of course they do, the coven heads do it all the time back in the castle".
Or just a rat he dressed up for fun.
He is very depressed.
It's too furry to be made of wood I think. Maybe he was just messing around with that mouse.

If you look closely at Steve once everyone boards the airships you can see that his freckles are inconsistent with the last time we saw him
I think the traitor is King unintentionally, this being due to the connection with the Collector. I could totally see the Collector ease dropping through King without him even being aware of it happening, informing Belos of Cat's Plans and that's how the Emperor's Coven Knows.
I dont think so, it seems like the Collector doesnt even for sure know or is properly aware of their connection
@@thewitheredsouls That's a good point
Speaking of things that could either be a clue or an animation error, I've seen people point out that Steve's moles weren't in the same places in that shot where he's about to brand Eda.

See I don't think Raine is being controlled.. more like.. Terra could be keeping a watch through them or Belos could be watching through their sigils.
It could be Terra, or maybe Everwolf.
We don't know... their motivations, so maybe they're the spy.
I don't know Eber's pronouns, so I went with they-base.
i heard eber’s a girl! dont take my word for it though lol
What's worse is that odalia likely isn't branded since she was able to use illusion magic and her children are not branded either so while she and her children would potentially survive but Alador would die a horrible death
at 7:00 the sprig of foliage is also the plant that we see in eda/raines flashback in eda's requiem but i like the double meaning you have here
i had the same thoughts about eda getting branded. i thought it might've been a little mistake because it's happened before, but the detail in this episode really makes me doubt it, like, the gap in hunter's teeth when he's disguised as luz, the tiny little coven brand on kikimora, details as small as making a callback to a previous episode with the precinct 206 sign. i just doesn't see likely that the crew would forget something this vital in a shot like that.
I love the pokemon reference with the collector being inside a beast ball that looks like it from the alola region
I also think the collector is a titan who got stuck in between thus giving magic to everyone
Seething seas and puppet strings,
he no longer dreams of kings,
as above rush darkened skies,
as below his father *lies*
I'm calling it now.
11:29 sameeee, exept that I thought it was something more like an animagus (from Harry Potter) or that he isn't 100% a witch
I noticed that the flower was the same flower in Eda's flash back when trying to control and understand her curse, so I think Rain probably put it there or just the animators to give a nice little Easter egg 😊
Considering how Belos has lied to and betrayed everyone who's ever helped him, The Collector is right to be suspicious of him
The snapdragon is a great detail for Raine to remember that scen on hill, the flashback saw on knock knock knock on hooty's door.
I actually noticed when Luz did the yellow flash instead of hunter. I have keen eyes
Not by his own volition, but through the collector, because we know from edge of the world that they are now somewhat linked, and that King can see glimpses into what they’re up to, what’s to say that that the collector didn’t over hear that king was a Titan and it peaked their interest and kept listening (that or they only heard about The CATTS plan and their snooping started there)
That also would call back to how important it is that no one else knows King is a Titan, so we could have like a double reveal that Belos knows he’s a Titan and he starts to spiral and distrust everyone only to find out he was the one who doomed himself and everyone he loves.
@@uniwolfgamer1094 true
“Seething seas” is probably referring to the human realm “and puppet strings” may refer to Hunter. “As above rush darkened skies” HAS to be talking about the draining spell. I don’t know about the rest though.
I haven't actually watched the show, so correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the oceans in the witch realm boiling? 'Seething' can be used for both rage and boiling water. A metaphor for when someone is angry is that their blood 'boils'. When water seethes, it's rapidly moving and is usually hot.
He no longer dreams of kings has got to be King because of the fact he no longer dreams of being the king of demons
@@ballcockfiend they are. I thought 'seething seas' pretty obviously refers to the boiling isles, but I could be wrong
The snapdragon is a callback to eda's requiem
My bet for the traitor is Everwolf, they've just been very suspicious since hollow mind.

I actually knew that hunter and luz exchanged places by the yellow dash thingy that "luz" did and I was like "what the, luz has hunters magic?" and then in the end I realised what it was and also by how hunter was looking at his hands as luz I also saw that
I thought there was also a quick sec that you see a tooth gap
OOOOO I REALLY LIKE YOUR THEORY ABOUT RAIN’S PLAN AND THE SYGIL DIDNT GET ONTO HER ARM WHICH I WOULD LOVE
It is possible that Belos was planning to USE Edna's curse as part of the draining spell, using the corruption to turn magic to ash
0:55 if we had time for 20 more adventures we could have gotten that
Also when kiki was shielding herself with the hunterd luz, you can see luz’s mouth shape on the zoom in, though i havent heard anyone talk about the tooth gap with luzed hunter so good find ^v^
You can also see luz's iconic lip on hunter in one of the scenes that also gives away the swap
9:27 it is almost certainly not an animation error. They even animated "luz" using the teleport hunter uses, and we later find out it IS hunter.

Also the egg was such a good idea.
Or when belos said knock knock human in the spying potion.
The plat in the Cats’ HQ looks like the ones in the Eda and Rain flashback where Rain says they are going to join the Bard Coven…
13:47 also Luz as Hunter sticking her tongue out at kikimora
The snapdragons are also in the scene where we see a young adult Eds and Raine on a date. My biggest worry about the whole Eda corrupting the draining spell is that Belos was banking on it to happen somehow
Honestly I think the mole could be Steve just cuz it makes the most sense (tho I hope not). And also I hope that Raine stopped Eda from being branded, she should be able to continue doing magic.
This episode was something-

Anyone ever notice that in this episode , luz’s gylph made a circle when using it, this never happened during s1, when she battled belos
Oh yeah also:
In case anyone hasn't noticed, Luz's new hair in the episode looks just like Alador's when he was younger in the picture from reaching out
omg i just checked, even the outfit looks similar!!!
She was able to activate the glyphs from a distance when she had owlbert and now she has the palisman egg in her backpack so maybe palisman were made by ancient witches to perform magic before they had bile sacs
@Artur Ferrão If that happened, that’ll make Luz and Amity sisters in law…
I think Luz's palismen will be a griffin
It was forshawed in the first episode where luz was being scoled in the principal's office and them bringing up how she let free spiders with a griffin presentation. And I already know what you're ythinking "aren't palismen simple earthly creatures?" well
1. most palismen we see in the owl house were carved by others to suite them Ex: Hexisde Palismen Day
2. The clawthrones have always been asscoiated with Earth leading to how Eda decovered the door and why their palismen are birds and
Spoiler Alert: My thoughts on Clouds on the Horizon:
The collector can make multiple of it’s shadows; that’s interesting.

If Steve is the person who turns against them that will be very emotionally impacting for all of us
LUMITY FOREVER!
About Eda being part of the draining spell: nope
Belos was full on planning to have Eda petrified/turned to stone so he wouldn't be able to use her curse after that. And I'm pretty sure his plans didn't drastically change after so many years just because he learned about the effects of the curse - so no, Eda is definitely not the secret part of the draining spell Belos is planning, when he was fully willing to get rid of her beforehand.
I'm thinking Luz's palisman will be a phoenix, symbolizing rebirth.

In the corner of 6:46 there wanted posters of Lilith and luz
I'm banking on Luz's Palisman being a snake. There's a ton of snake imagery throughout the series as well as winged creatures.
thank you so much for the video!! i missed you!
"Seething Seas and puppet strings, he no longer dreams of kings, as above rush darkened skies as below his father..." My best bet is "Lies" or "Dies", leaning more towards "lies"
Oddly enough I read it with the collector's voice in my head telling that to King.
Think about it Last season was all about Eda's curse and Lilith's betrayal. Two witches. The last episode's name "Agony of a witch"
This season's looks linked to King since many major episode's were related to his origin story. King himself. The last episode "King's Tide"
Seething seas and puppet strings, he no longer dreams of kings could relate to the boiling isles itself, being surrounded by people that has been just handled like puppets towards belos's agenda while the day of unity is coming closer, and on last episode while all of this is happening along with knowing who he is, he just no longer wishes to be considered a superior or to be adorated like before just be normal. Therefore "He no longer dreams of kings"
"As above rush darkened skies" doesn't seem complicated as really we all know it might be to either the day of unity or something really tragic happening soon.
The season finale premieres on my birthday
happy birthday
Early Happy Birthday
I think that scar growed into that green scar because when belos eated that palismen the nose scar he had grew slighty
Seething seas is a reference to the boiling part of the boiling isles, the entire poem is about King, during the eclipse of the Day of Unity, atop the boiling isles, which is where his father... wel, lies
Hi Whitney. Great seeing you. Cwmabt. Time to make it a wonderful weekend
OK I WAS WONDERING WHY "LUZ" PULLED A HUNTER WHEN MOVING WILLOW OUT OF THE WAY, IT JUST NEVER CLICKED UNTIL NOW 💀
I knew Odalia wasn't gonna be everyone favorite Owl House character, but this episode really amp up that dislikes even more.
A capitalist till the end.
Honestly the one pleasant detail was she isnt actively homophobic and that was a given since its not a thing by word of the author.
They spent like, half the budget on the kiss and I'm not mad
the poem that we see might be talking about king and the collector as it makes more sense than we think
I think when all seems lost next episode, luz’s palisman will save the day or smth that’s just a thought I had (well maybe not save it but help a lot)
puppet strings= King is connected to the collector, collector is trapped below the titan's bones(hallow mind) so below kings father so maybe its talking about king and the collector bieng connected! that's only my theory...
Quite a few of these became true
SPOILERS FOR S2EP21
With Belos getting rid of The collector after being done using them
King making a deal with The Collector and that deal making a more horrid situation
I'M HOPING THAT STEVE IN THE CATS WAS JUST AN ILLUSION AND THAT STEVE WAS KIDNAPPED, it sounds bad, but it's a better thought than Steve being a traitor
Raine did end up keeping Eda safe!
