Bought a new (basic) CRV S, 2.0 petrol version in January 2016. Oct 2016, done 16,000 miles. The S model excludes reversing sensors, but I had a 4 sensor unit fitted by a local auto electrician for just £118 and they work great, far better than the silly price that Honda were asking by fitting them as an optional extra. The S model still has blue-tooth and the phone system is very simple to use, it also has climate control and LED side lights.
Pro's:
Aesthetically pleasing (in my opinion) - So far faultless reliability, no issues whatsoever - Comfortable supportive seats and a nice chunky arm rest - Easy to drive with reasonable feedback - Good ride, though ruts can catch it out when you hit them when driving at high speed - Feels well planted and composed both on the motorway and in the city - Large boot with amazing one pull folding rear seats and flat floor - Good driving position for me (5' 10") but if you have very long legs, I agree with the vid - Cabin reasonably silent unless you work it hard - Plenty of storage space - Good all round and view easy to reverse - Feels solid and very well built and has a definite feeling of quality about it.
Cons:
My 153 bhp petrol version gives only 35/6 mpg (though I do drive fairly hard) - I would not mind the poor MPG if the performance made up for it, but it lacks power, particularly from standstill, though at high speeds above 65 mph it holds it's own when you put your foot down and will cruise comfortably and silently at 90 mph no problem (I only do this on the Autobahn in Germany : ) - Though the interior looks nice when new, it easily scratches, particularly on the hard plastic parts on the doors - The instruction manual is like reading War and Peace with a poor index to find what the warning lights mean. It took me 10 mins to decipher what the orange warning light meant, turned out to be a soft tyre - The dash lights reflect in the drivers side window at night.
All in all, very good value for money.

True, but there is little difference, mainly just a few exterior cosmetic changes to improve the looks.
