i took a long hiatus from the game, came back to see how it had changed, came across this and love the start guide, will admit my biggest issue was getting into a position to deal with bandits, other factions seemed to consolidate before i even got a chance to understand what was going on and my village was not making a great deal of cash, trade takes paper now? and getting to make the higher tier items to sell meant it wasent really an option. i feel like the other factions has access to everything way before i do, 16 troops all with armour shields and spears + a bunch of archers ....... for example. id also say dumping high points into your charecter is also something you want to avoid at the start, you want to keep your youth as much as possible and pick up stats as you go. still learning but i feel something needs to be tweaked somewhere.
As always you cover things very well and your voice is dreamy Keep up the awesome vids. Couple of points from my recent play: Where is the event log for the game, so I can see all recent events? I agree that the stat panel is an open and nope screen. I would add that if something doesn't feel right, it's probably a bug and a save and reload usually sorts it. Combat is odd, though they did some patching today! Pay attention to the coloured bar when engaging as it can tell you about the battle balance.
Hi there! Regarding the books, I find one of the most important (for my playstyle) is getting the Rye/hop/purple thingies efficiency upgrade. That boosts production and therefore sales. The stats page? I opened it...scanned it...thought 'hey, look at the little icons' and closed it. That was about it :D.
I just went into my first game all was going well, until I got a message than someone needed help from being vassalized, and I thought it will help my standing and keep them from growing. So I sent my King and his brother with the 1 merc that finally made it. We were outnumbered 6-9 but had 2 armies, so I let the other army attack the main force and I sent my group in back to attack the archers. They fell so naturally, I set my army to attack from the rear, and I thought I had them now. Then just as we start fighting the archers jump back up and start shooting. Next thing I know, the allied king falls, but most the other army is down, then my king falls but gets up in a bit, finally the enemy king dies, and the battle is shortly over. That was rough for a first fight but I won so all is good. As my army is going home, I think I hope my king is alright, and they are being slowed by him I noticed, and 4 minutes away from home I get an instant 5 messages. My King and his brother died, I had no clue the bother was all that hurt, he never fell in the battle. And the other messages were all the people around me ready to attack my weak surviving wife. So now I am confused, little angered, and overwhelmed by this, since I won the battle, and everything hit at once. To make matters worse I noticed the two towns by me were allied, which I was wanting to prevent to begin with. I have no idea how the new queen subjugated after losing her man, but it seemed the people I helped with in control of the alliance. I have no idea what I could have done better other than not helping, or waiting for the other mercenaries to show up in the day or 2. I tried reloading an auto save but they were both injured, but the king looked far worse, but nothing said he was going to die before he got home, and I saw not way to rest, bandage wounds nor heal. I would have felt much better if the king died half way home, then the brother died, and a few days later my neighbors started declaring war. It was quite a shock to get it instantly around 8am in the morning when they were 4 minutes from home.
"The most important part is changing the banner," are you joking? The resources generated by the villages could supplement your main city's lack of resources. Silver haven has low herbs for example, changing a village resource to herbs can impact your game play dramatically.....
@dracsfantastic thanks! Regards the statistics page; maybe it's because the game is still in dev and some of those statistics will make more sense. Although that doesn't explain the strange placement of some of the info
Thanks for this, been trying to play the tutorial and the game keeps going wonky on me. No text at all in any windows whether its the help windows or game interfaces. You might catch some views just making a video running through the tutorial.
Have you wanted to check out Norland or maybe just getting started? I share my experience playing this wonderful game.

Great tips! Thanks. I need to get back to this game.

Yes to all these. The reload is key. I have had a couple of things happen that instead of trying to figure out what happened, just better to reload.
Thanks for the intro vid! I was looking for something like this
yw!
Interesting looking game! Thanks for the vid!
It is a good time
The warehouse doesn't require workers and lords. If you suspend the building, it is still usable for goods storage and retrieval
Oh! Thanks for the tip
thank you bro

Yes, the efficiency is a big help

WOW! Yep, combat needs some help. The current road map talks about the changes incoming. Thank you for this comment
This game is crazy good
Agreed, and it just keeps getting better
This game is hilarious
It has its moments for sure :)

That is my hope. Great game. More to come!
@@dracsfantastic@dracsfantastic yeah it's great. I'm still getting the hang of avoiding one of the many civilisational desth spirals 😂
The data feels like it needs some consolidation. Great vid
Altar is not spelled "Alter" btw. Besides that great vid!
😉
Can anyone tell me how to fix the lacks any weapon issue after a hunting party?
Oh! I have not seen that one. Sorry :(
Hmm is there a way to get rid of the orange clothes?
Orange clothes?
so basically it's medieval Rimworld
Yes and no. Great game
greet vids! my money always below 1k, u have any tips to improve?
I struggle with it as well. Last run, I was selling the healing salve I was producing.

Oh, yeah for sure. Thanks!
I think the game is way too slow even with the fastest speed selected.
The pacing can seem slow. I find myself going from superfast to middle fast. Still enjoying the game
I think you just gotta immerse yourself in it and soak in the details
i don't understand where the ressources are stocked before having a wharehouse
Everything is stored in the main building at the start of the game.
@@dracsfantastic Thanks, still didn't need a warehouse as far I am, I guess it would be useful when I expand more
This game is great btw !
