This was a lot of fun. Poor Catalina didn't make it through the push for carnivore. Hermit Catalina was kept safe, and was responsible for the oil biome earlier in the game. Can't wait to see what chaos rolls out in a few days!

Also, I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone not just use the ribbon writer but build with it. Opened a tiny door in my brain, it did!

You have a great way of explaining things and have definitely helped me enjoy the game so much more than I already was! I would really love to see how some of the automation works on these maps and power grids plus maybe some of the cooling loops are the save files available anywhere they just look so tidy all my maps are a spagetti pipe mess?
I have a interesting idea for a challenge. How about 4 players on the same seed have a certain number of cycles to prepare a number of dupes for self suffciency? Then see whos dupes last the longest?

Was wondering how I would join/submit colonies like this since I feel like it would give me a nice incentive to go further and try new things(am aware that he said seed will be announced on the 4th, I meant to ask if there was anything specific I needed to do before starting to be able to submit it)
The best thing is to join the Discord. All of the administration of the event takes place there, including the call for submissions at the end and the voting for the next event.

Wish the larger POIs where more useful. Or at least give access to the blueprints. Tables furniture new beds all sorts of things we have had but never gotten.
all I can say is. HOLY SHIT. I play modded and only use Pei's and have only reached 103 cycles thus far xD and I just got the Spaced Out dlc the other day x3 there is SOOOOOO much in the game I don't even understand yet x3 but it's been fun lol
It's not about the magma. The Petroleum excanges heat with the Oil, giving you hot oil on one end and "cold" Petroleum on the other. That's why you need so little magma. Because most on the heat stays in the boiler, as the Petroleum leaves only a little hotter than the oil enters.
@@josefaksoy42 well as you can see in the video, the Petroleum isn't pumped out directly but flows down these stairs, where it can dump it's heat into the oil inside the pipes.
