Wow that point about Goku coming from heaven and Vegeta from hell, fusing to become a perfect being is something I never noticed
A criticism I have with God Ki is that you'd think it would grant Goku and Vegeta the ability to breathe in space like the two of them can easily travel around Universe 7 without the need of teleporting, yet they're stopped by a lack of oxygen within space
Didn't stop Goku when he was fighting Beerus or Goku when he put a bunch of rabbits in space.

Even if they can't breathe in space, they should still be able to survive in space & fly throughout it with no consequence with a Ki-Barrier, like Baby Broly has done after the destruction of planet Vegeta.
It makes then live longer, slimmer and younger and in god give them unique interesting abilities

Thank you for this video. People decide to think that if you have God ki you can’t lose and idk where that came from. In Super the show heavily implies you can get stronger in how you use your Ki. Goku and Vegeta learn to contain their God Ki , Frieza does mental training to improve his efficiency in Golden F and we learn how Jiren was so strong because of how effective he used his Ki.
I think this makes Gohan, Broly, Jiren and Frieza even more impressive. I look at them as a wood burning fire where G/V are coal burning. But their wood fires are so massive they equal the output of G/Vs coal fire.
Honestly if those characters got god ki at this point, they would just be utterly broken especially Broly who grows within every second of battle
The way I understand it is:
Base=mortal ki
SSJ=mortal ki
SSG=God ki in base
SSB=SSJ using God ki
But then you have "Saiyan beyond God" which also is god ki in base...

Great video. You see it in the tournament of power. Against regular fighters they would use base or regular SSJ1, 2 or 3.
But when facing the super evolved and such, they went SSBlue or beyond.
I think people saw Z and just saw how the new form dominated whatever villain they were fighting rinse and repeat.
In Super, the people they face are so powerful that the key to winning isn’t just having a new form but mastering it.
Which is what they told Frieza in resurrection F. He learned a new form and then went to fight them without mastering it. And what Vegeta said about Ultra Ego when he burned out of power.
And in Super the villains or antagonists aren’t useless once an arc is over. Beerus is still the strongest, someone as strong as fused Zamasu is still a threat, Jiren and Broly still has Goku and Vegeta training in case they fight someone like them again.
Where as Z once a villain was defeated by a new form that was it, if he came back they’d be one shotted. Save for Frieza when in Super. Frieza in Z was a joke after his arc.
I was brought to this by a question I saw no one addressing and I understand why. I actually perfectly understand the fine currents I would be navigating. Because your logic makes sense and when properly put together...
Let's just say people who hate GT and Super fanboys would be upset about how this explanation makes perfect sense for a particular quirk I had noticed in a recent rewatch of GT.
My thing with god ki is that it should’ve set itself apart more by giving the user more specific abilities like the regen from BOG, or the ability to breathe in space, extreme passive durability, enhanced sensory capability, or some other cosmic enhancement that is not too broken, but powerful nonetheless
It's crazy the amouny of people that think Goku always has the SSJ God power from the Beerus fight in base, and think regular SSJ multiplies 50 times that God power and so on with all the other forms.
Even famous accounts like DBS Hype, said Cabba is stronger than SSJ God Goku from BoG.
The manga never even introduced that concept, but due to the promotional manga of the Ress F movie (which isn't part of the manga continuity), people say manga Goku has that god power in base and all his forms like in the anime.
The only way I've ever been able to make sense of the powerscaling of DBS is throwing out that 'saiyan beyond god' crap.
Yeah, Goku and Vegeta have the option of utilizing God Qi in base, but that's not part of their base it's something they have to deliberately do.
And I'm pretty sure the reason they still use SSG is because they haven't mastered God Qi in base, they can only do so to some partial degree and the SSG transformation bridges the gap for now.

Love the video! I think of God Ki like episode 109/110 of the Anime. The Spirit Bomb is regular Ki until it’s condensed so much that it explodes. Instead of it exploding it stays within. If that makes sense lol .

The amount of times i've heard people saying that God Ki can be 'Infused' into people by just being surrounded by god ki is annoying, people try and call 'Rage Trunks' an incomplete SSB form because he fought Blue Vegeta and its annoying.
The anime already gave a vague idea of how God Ki works from what whis said to Goku and Vegeta, Contain your energy in your body without any leakage while elevating your Ki at the same time which requires an absurd level of Ki Control and a calm mind.
I imagine it as a sort of 'High Pressure' Ki, the containment of your Ki allows your Ki to have a far higher level of Potency than regular Ki, so God Ki will always be stronger than regular Ki when wielded by the same person.
This. It's like 1 unit of ki enables you to drive 100 miles. 1 unit of god ki enables you to drive 1,000,000 miles.

so if god ki by the explanation of the anime is that you contain your ki into your body and then elevating your ki level at the same time?.......then why is god ki even invented if how you get it could be applied to any given character to become stronger
Well, how does ssj Rage work then? I mean, we never got a real reason as to why trunks got the form..so i just think it's one of the best reasons to come up with.
I think it's because there's no visual support for regular ki/chi which makes god chi/ki very mysterious. I think that's what's going on.

Aside from a narrative standpoint, many ppl have a hard time understanding Divine Ki bc they have a vague understanding of Ki in general aside from what the anime/manga show n tell us. Such as the guide books. Understanding Ki in depth helps better understand the same general concept but on a *DIVINE* level n what makes it “divine”.
So using God Ki isn't a transformation or an alternate form of energy, it's a technique, and using it at a certain level of power produces the transformation of Super Saiyan God, then stacking the Super Saiyan transformation (but not the 50x amp because God ki is naturally stronger than regular ki) produces Super Saiyan God... Super Saiyan (Blue). It's just like Kaioken or Ultra Instinct, the former of which is a ki control technique that uses regular ki, and the latter is a ki control technique that requires God Ki. Considering that the original ritual required 6 Super Saiyans in total (5 to create the God Ki and one to inherit it), the threshold for creating God Ki is probably around 6x Super Saiyan ki. And then, once God Ki has been mastered to a certain extent, it can be stacked with both Super Saiyan and Kaioken, which produces Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken x(insert number here, although it probably isn't a 1:1 multiplier with God Ki and the Super Saiyan transformation, the x n only represents the level of power the technique is being used at).

There is a problem with the idea that SSGB is equal in Power to SSG: SSGB has been shown to be stronger than SSG. Whis commented at the ToP that SSG uses less energy than SSGB, further highlighting that they're not the same level.

Hm, and the reason God Ki cannot be conventually detected is because it is prevented from leaking out, similar to hiding your power?
But if God Ki is just condensed regular Ki, why is Goku ever using the normal SSJ forms to play around? Especially in the Tournament of Power, wouldn't that just be wasting precious Ki? Or is it that Goku IS keeping his Ki from leaking out in every fight, but he uses so little of his reserves that his hair stays yellow instead of switching to blue?

Nah, because then that would make it undetectable to anyone, even gods, which isn't true because it's implied a lot that only gods can sense God chi. So it's like somehow increasing the volume of your chi while it in your body makes god ki supposedly

You once again hit the nail on the head. There's alot of misinformation about god ki that is simply inconsistent with established lore in the series. Goku having god ki in base, and like you mentioned god ki in ssj regular is some of it. The only thing that shocked me a bit with ultra instinct being usable in all forms but it was kinda explained a little bit so it makes alot more sense.

idc what anyone says, videos like this shut the GT haters down so heavily, not only do they scale it wrong due to prejudice and literal ignore verbal and visual feats, but they always say super wins only because of god ki even though ssj4 has draconic ki and one of the largest stamina/ki pools in db history.

god ki saiyan powers were inspired by GT, the story arcs are inspired by GT/AF, character development was inspired by GT, hell, toyotaro loved GT so much that he and young jiji(ssj5 creator) made their own DBAF story. thats right, the writer of Super was originally writing and drawing AF, Xicor, and all those fan favs. Super is just a watered down GT lolzzz

I mean, 2,3 and 4 are extremely short lived forms considering the time they came on screen (end of cell saga and end of Z and the 64 ep run of gt where ssj4 wasnt released after 1/3 was done)
It's not that if someone has god ki they should be unbeatable, it's just the fact that almost everyone in Super surpass god ki or are on par with it without having god ki - whether they're in their base form or transformed state. Another problem with Super is called the prodigy problem, where basically every fucking person is a prodigy. The fact that 17 does next to nothing besides sometimes fighting off poachers and shadow boxing he reaches SSB levels or above it. There's so many more instances of everyone just catching up to god ki that makes it look useless. Not to mention it barely wins it's major fights (fighting people like cabba don't count since they realistically should not be anywhere near SSB).
SSG lost the first fight it was in. The next arc SSG is forgotten and instantly replaced by SSB which would have lost... only if Frieza mastered his golden form which he didn't. And the fact that Frieza goes from Namek saga to SSB levels in 4 months just because he's yet another prodigy is astounding -_-. In the U6/U7 tournament SSB won against cabba... Wow, cabba of all people. then SSB gets bodied in the zamasu arc with Trunks getting one of Super's trademarks... an asspull powerup. This one's called "Rage" which is somehow on par with Rose when the Blue boys were struggling. "Hey SSB isn't working what do we do?" "Just make Trunks lose his pupils, get heavy footsteps and put him on par with Rose making it look stronger than us even though we have SSB levels of god ki even though he's had no one useful to train with in his dead and decrepit future."
Then in the Xeno Expo, Goku SSB beats Bergamo even though I doubt Bergamo is Xeno Expo SSB god ki levels of power. But this is Super, so I shouldn't be surprised if fucking bergamo is as strong as SSB or UI or True UI or Fake UI or Shit UI or Bullshit UI or however many the fuck UI's there are. There's a pattern at this point.... SSB is being used on basically every single opponent minus a few. The form was overused to shit which is another thing that makes it look useless. I hate how people say "Oh, well Goku was holding back when he went blue on Krillin." The thing is, he shouldn't have gone SSB in the first place, there was no need for it other than making people's dopamine receptors go off because of pretty colours. Same with Ranger 17, there should have been no reason 17 was stronger than Blue or as strong as it since he lives on a deserted island with Goku saying he doesn't do much of anything. What besides him beating up human poachers probably with a power level of 2 or something like we saw in DBZ, and some shadowboxing.
Sure androids have infinite ki and stamina, but how do they actually get stronger? Do they just overload themselves? Then in the T.O.P, SSG/SSB lost almost all of it's fights again... minus the weak characters that fucking Roshi could have beaten. Apparently UI uses god ki, which is crazy considering Roshi tapped into some sort of weak UI in the manga. Dude God Master Roshi sounds like a comedic fanfiction you'd read while smoking weed.
But even in the manga, UE and UI have proven to be useless as well. The fact that Black Frieza just one shots True UI and UE was terrible writing. It's like they realized how much of a clusterfuck the arc was and decided to end it off in a way that'd make the fanboys lose their minds. "OOOhhhhHHHh whATTT?!?! Frieza just OnE SHOtTEDD true UI ANd UlTra EGo?!!".
God ki is useless cause everyone's a prodigy and surpasses it/get's on its level with a couple days of training on or off screen.
God ki is explained like a wellspring of power you need to know about to attain it.

However for God Ki not use in Super Saiyan, it was right until U6VSU7 arc, where Goku and Vegeta have a stronger version of Super Saiyan Blue
We see Vegeta using God Ki with Super Saiyan in Black Arc, as SS Vegeta was stronger than SS Black, who was in base stronger than Trunks SS2 FP, who was on par with SS3 Goku. And Vegeta and Goku were on par
And it's show with the sparks around, while both are in Super Saiyan 1, Black naturally has God Ki since he's a God thus automatically use God Ki with any SUper Saiyan forms

Coming back to this video, in the anime the aura leaking out has been something that I started to notice more when I went back to watch it & It helps me understand mostly everything! I think that’s something people skip over ! The anime did a good job of that !!

I don't think SSJ Blue is useless, we still see it beating top tier opponents like zamasu in the manga , saganbo, toppo, even granolah was almost defeated by ssb when goku found out the weakness of his vital point attack. SSJ is really became useless after frieza arc
If god ki is just ki, but more of it, then I'd argue is narratively useless. They could have gone with just ki, but more of it. It adds nothing.
I still think frieza has God ki only because he has the ability to sense god ki in the manga and the only peoole who can sense it are gods or mortals with god ki, and honestly i feel like god ki should have a healing factor too
I can see your argument, but I think that the idea of God Ki being simply more powerful, concentrated version of regular Ki without any other unique properties isn't too interesting. Of course some of the unique abilities can be found in the forms/states of being that Goku and Vegeta acheive along the way, but I'm talking purely about the God Ki itself. It not only could've been much more, but if we go with the idea of the Universes being infinite, it begs the question, why have no one thought of raising power while holding Ki in the body? It's not even a problem that there are many opponents who are mutants (although I ain't particularly fond of the idea that some mortals can be born "godly"). But I find it highly improbable that almost infinite universes don't have beings who found a way to attain God Ki despite their naturally lower status. Yet it seems like this is the case, since ToP consisted mostly of evolved characters. There should've been a somewhat reasonable balance, but the balance is skewed... a lot.
I think that the story would've benefited from attributing some of the new abilities to God Ki itself. It could make it more clear that the story goes in an internal growth direction with God Ki giving new abilities without changing the appearance of the user. It seems like there are a lot of unnecessary steps in direction of attaining the power that can be constantly improved (UI, UE) when it could've been done with God Ki and make the whole concept more interesting. Although I must admit that deleting UI and UE wouldn't be best either, because they hold much more meaning that being simple power-ups.
I also think that a lot of disappointment comes from the expectations that fans had back when BoG and RoF released. It seemed like we were getting something fresh and unique, but then we find out it's basically the same thing, but repackaged in a slightly different color. Mixed with the fact that instead of going in the "traditionally godly" direction we face enemies who are "godly" only because of their power and mutant status felt somewhat underwhelming. Of course DB established that there are a lot of mortals who surpassed gods and that there are a lot of characters who are stronger by nature, but the idea of attaining godhood through training feels more suited for "Dragon Ball" in my opinion. Having enemies who would have centuries of expertise training with God Ki being their source of strength and using that for their self growth seems like a reasonable way to further the story while making it logical. I am much more inclined to beleive that there are people who devoted their life to training in the arts of God Ki and gaining power that way than skyrocketing through *everything* that main characters fought against the day they were born.
When it comes to Super Saiyan losing that "legendary" status during the Android/Cell Saga, I must say that I dislike that a lot. I kind of get why we get so many Super Saiyans and that the characters need new stronger opponents, but I don't buy the fact that Earthlings of all people can create cyborgs on that level. The idea of Artificial Humans fits better before the concept of aliens. It kinda seems like a more logical progression to start with Earth, then go to the stars and at last to places in different planes of existence.
And to top it all off, I am interested in what you said about Goku and Vegeta not using God Ki in their Super Saiyan forms. If using God Ki in their Super Saiyan state is making them go Blue, then why didn't Goku turn Blue when he went back to SSJ while fighting Beerus? Also that begs the question. Wouldn't using God Ki on Super Saiyan 2 and 3 produce Blue 2 and Blue 3? I know we got Rose 2 and 3 in Heroes, but it's still something to wander about, because Goku and Vegeta are taking different routes so it's highly unlikely for them to go in that direction and get a definitive answer. What do you think?
Ok first of all, the universes are not infinite within the confines of DBS, but theoretically they are infinite based on the idea of time travel that exists in super, but this is debunked when you consider time rings in super unlike the time scrolls in Xenoverse. second of all god ki, having unique properties was done via UE and UI since UE is a destroyers chi and UI's chi grows exponentially, and as for your third question other beings have accessed god chi but only through divine training like Toppo so it's implied this technique is not that simple to grasp, and as far god ki being underwhelming I think it would be a much cheaper concept if everyone had it honestly. the entire point is Goku and Vegeta using training and a spiritual power to swing above their standing as a species and only having access to that training due to their attitude as martial artists, and that idea you had about beings having centuries worth of experience with god chi is done via the destroyers and angels. The thing you said about that Android technology being more suitable for aliens, is fair but not in DB. Humans are treated as anomalies like Bulma, Senbei and Gero, and finally Goku did not go blue simply because he was not using the chi control technique necessary in BoG. as for SSJB 2 and 3 Toriyama acknowledged that as a possibility but said they chose to work on ssj as the superior form.

1. Does that mean that DBS disregards Daizenshuu? I'm pretty sure that Daizenshuu 7 states that the Galaxies, which are a part of the Universe, are infinitely large (no matter how stupid that sounds).
2. It feels quite weird to establish two different subsections of Godly Ki and do basically nothing with the God Ki itself. I mean, it all could've been swept under the same umbrella, so this choice is quite odd to me. If the story wanted to focus on the Destroyer Ki and Angel Ki it didn't had to add another version of Ki that puts previous material into question (although it looks like Super is trying to retcon lower tier gods not showing any sign of God Ki before).
3. I'm not saying that everyone should have God Ki, but just like you said, it was created to give weaker characters a chance against mutated beings. The whole concept literally screams to give characters like Piccolo, Tenshinhan and many others a chance to get back into relevancy, because at this point it feels like Earthly Martial Arts can't stand a slightest chance against enemies of this magnitude. Of course it's easy to fall into "making too many mortals with God Ki", but I still believe it could've been more balanced.
@@ReAwakenZBlue 3 is probably impossible. 3 is a self destructive form that churns the user's stamina at an explosive rate. I just don't see that being compatible with the mechanism of God Ki. (Granted I'm also not a fan of KaioBlue)
SSB2 is theoretically plausible. But it's not like Goku ever achieved SS2 Grade 4, we don't know if it's possible to contain SSJ2's Qi

Actually I want to hear your argument on this, so like why does Goku not go ssb in bog when he uses ssj while he just absorbed ssg
because he was not using the chi control technique necessary. that is why as an ssj he was weaker than ssjb and still had to train to achieve that battle power in base afterwards.

@@jordanthedragonlee1270 yes and no, God's Crimson Radiance Super Saiyan Goku is just Goku body which adapts to the strength of the ssg to make his normal ssj as strong as the previous ssg, increase his base form (normal Ki). that's why Beerus said his power doesn't decrease even when he's not in ssg.

Yeah i agree with you. One argument against god ki was that it couldve just been another auper saiyan transformation and the plot would be the same. Although that is true it wouldve been a huge missed opportunity. God ki gives a mortal view into the deities in super. Not only that if goku had just got another power up it wouldve been boring as f***. They may as well just continue Dragonball gt and make it canon if they did that. Because GT isnt that bad.

God ki is just an enhanced version of regular ki, like if jiren gained God ki he'd get stronger.
So it's not as if it's useless, in fact if anything it's one of the only reason goku and vegeta are even able to compete with jiren. With regular ki it'd take way longer or far more effort, arguably to the point where they'd never surpass beings like Jiren or beerus
