Yeah, hi, in order not to mess up everywhere with wire, can it still work if I connect the red and black wire(directly coming from the jack), to the upper part of the stapler, and the white to the lower part of the stapler.

This will only work for keyboards that have a Normally Open kind of sustain pedal jack it will not work for Normally Closed sustain pedal jack variation unless you can change the setting in the keyboard’s menu

Try restarting the process.
It has to work
