It's all about the facility and the fitter. I don't feel my fitting at a St. Louis GolfTec went very well. Only swung 3 clubs, 3 shafts, didn't test any grip sizes. I may have only taken 30 swings in total. They then ordered my clubs wrong, luckily I wrote down what I tested for my final liking. They had a different shaft on it.
Overall, if you have a CLUB CHAMPION in your area they are rated much higher for club fittings. This Denver one looks much better then the one I had in St. Louis.

Hey my son Dylan is 8 and is obsessed with your guys' channel. I just wanted to say thanks for all of the videos and endless creativity. He finishes school and rushes down to see what has been posted and we're now playing ~2-4 times a week largely because of the excitement your channel has generated. He just bought a good good master's sweatshirt and thought that the automated email was directly from you guys which got him super excited! lol. Wondered if you've ever signed any of the merch that you send out. A signed goodgood golf towel by one or more of you guys would make for a Christmas gift he'd never expect. The looks I got at the driving range was priceless 😂 Everyone is out there swinging their callaways and here i come, no head covers, clubs clanking around, broken bag straps swinging, dusty & stain covered golf bag, & a set of prehistoric clubs.
😆we will still take a look at your current clubs- we can just probably determine they're a problem a little faster than GM's Apex Pros.

Highly recommend golftec to anyone who’s looking to get fitted. The only thing I liked that my fitter did that Garrett’s didn’t was mine didn’t let me look at any of the clubs I hit. He would just hand me clubs. That way there was zero bias and the numbers truly gave me my perfect fit.

This was the most informative easy to follow fitting video I’ve seen. I’m still rocking used clubs as a new golfer but I can’t wait to progress to a fitted set eventually

So awesome seeing another fitting after having mine. Was the best experience. As a mid-high HC I was fitted massively differently to you. Modus tour 120 high launch stiff shafts with the cobra king forged tec irons. Love them!!

Titleist AP1 710 - 2 weeks, too much offset wanted more forgiveness, but due to offset kept over drawing them - no fitting
Titleist AP2 710 - 2 years these were good - no fitting
Mizuno Tour JPX-900 - 2016 to present, will never look at any other brand - Found my comfort zone, semi blades/semi forgiving. - fitted
hahahaha I wonder how callaway feels after sending all those free clubs now. I think they dropped the ball by not setting up a free club fitter instead of just the free clubs - Would have been more advertising through additional content, and garrett would have been more inclined to keep his fitted clubs/not get fitted again for mizuno.
Swing the same mp 18’s and I couldn’t agree more. No club I’ve ever hit feels as buttery and tight as a Mizuno.

Love Golftec. I was in Massachusetts golfing and met someone there who said they improved their game going to Golftec. I signed up for lessons at one 40 mins away. Before lessons I was shooting 110s and after 4 lessons so far I'm shootings low 100s and even broke into the 90s a couple times. I got 11 lessons left and can't wait to see my progress.

I’m no club fitter but in my opinion the initial stats of your gaming iron seem to be very good, dispersion is pretty nice, just a touch too high launch. If I were a fitter I would just start by trying some variety of golf balls and see how they perform. Maybe you would get perfect number without spending more money on new clubs. Switching golf ball is a lot cheaper tho.

This could not have come at a better time, I literally just watched your old fitting video, i am due for a fitting, I want new clubs and it’s Black Friday/holiday season to treat myself.
I play MP-20 MMC's and I'm in love with them. I almost went blended set of MP-20s and the MMC's but the MMC's just barely won out and the performance was way more important to me then the looks.
MP20 and P790 were my heads of choice. I went w/the P790 w/True Temper S300 Dynamic Gold 105 shafts and Milled Grind Hi-Toe wedges. Mizuno,, TaylorMade and Titleist are the irons to start with during a fitting IMO. Woods are a completely different ballgame. I am a strong advocate of mixing brands within the hybrid/woods area of the bag....I play a TaylorMade, Cobra and Callaway in my hybrid/woods section and NO the shafts do not all have to match!!!! That is a big misconception amongst golfers when they get fitted. There is some misconception that your entire bag has to be one specific make/model/brand...A really good fitter will do a step by step analysis similar to the fitter in this video based on what you already play, how you swing, and what you want to change about a certain area of your bag.

Just a 7:30 flight to Golftec HQ in Colorado when there’s three Golftec’s in Texas...the whole gang could have gone. Steven could use a fitting, he works hard to better his game and as an avid golfer you definitely get out what you put in. Team GM!

Yesssss dude, so good! I game the Mizuno MP-20 range too they feel like butter out the sweet spot in the blades.
So I got fitted at club champion and they fit you for a shaft first and then start switching up the club heads thereafter, which imo seems more logical
How much was it to get fitted there

Garrett I got fitted for mizuno mp 20s HMBs and I’m totally in love with them. Haven’t strayed away from mizuno irons because they know what they are doing!
I’m 6ft 4’’ and I’ve had the MP20s for a year now and I absolutely love them. The head is light and the shaft I have is light which makes it so easy to make a powerful swing.
Do you have extended shaft? I’m the same height, and just curious..

Seems like GolfTec loves reading off a checklist, between seeing this and getting a swing analysis once, their places are such a cold dreary office space feeling or old doctors office.

I currently get lessons as Goltec, not only is my coach awesome but they record the lesson and you can watch it and see your before and after swing on a app plus drills you need to work on. I highly recommend them.

I got fitted in ft worth at Club Champion and was fitted for the p790s and same shaft as you, went with the 105 blacks because I’m boujee. They’re supposed to be delivered today after waiting 8 weeks because Covid, but I’m super excited.
Of course you get fitted to my favourite set of irons of them all.... Good stuff :) best of luck with the new gear.

I have the 2019 mizuno irons and they are the crispiest irons i’ve ever hit.
Thanks for the video. I'd be really curious to see how your ball would fly with the Miura MC 501's. I switched to Miura MC-501 with Modus shafts, from Mizuno MP's with Nippon shafts, because they provided more 'feel' but I never really compared them on a simulator.

Going from Callaway Apex Pro's to Mizuno MP-20 is like being traded from the Jets to the Chiefs
Did you only hit a 7 iron? Seems pretty incomplete. What if you don’t like the 4 iron blade. Maybe you need a combo. Maybe you need a different lie angle for 4 iron. Hope the clubs work out
7 iron or some fitters do 6 iron it’s for a medium so you will like the long and short irons you are fit to them and then when they come in you go back in for our angle fixes the club bends back overtime so you might have to get them fixed again
Hitting 7 iron is standard practice for club fitting.
From what I've read (been looking at Upgrades the last year), doing a combo set is generally for people on the edge of needing Game-improvement irons, but only really need them for the long-irons.
@@albinobluesheep it is if youre going to a shop and its free. Paying Golf Tec for a fitting and hitting one iron doesnt make sense. check out TXG's channel for a real set of fitters.

I can’t recommend a fitting enough to players who actually are trying to improve their game. When everything is set right for your specific swing you can really feel a difference opposed to buying something off the rack

I have that same shaft but in a stiff rather than xstiff with the mp-18 mmc heads and I love the feel and consistency of my iron play
I got fitted for p770s and i absolutely love them, i think you shouldve tried a lighter shaft with them at least because i have the lighter shaft and im the same when it comes to lighter shafts and it feels amazing

If the spin rate, launch angle, and angle of descent are all a little high, plus they averaged 2-3 yards shorter than the Apex, why not bend them a degree strong?

How about it. I cringed multiple times at the bad info he was being given, smh. It's a shame only fitting someone using only 1 iron too.
I’m confused by the 1 degree upright. It looked like he was already hitting a draw and if he goes upright, wouldn’t it make the ball go more left? This exact thing happened to me at PGA Superstore. I couldn’t hit my newly fitted clubs straight because they said I needed an upright club after hitting off a lie board. I went back and made them bend them to standard. Now they are fine. I will never get fit at a big box store again.
TXG did a video on this exact problem with fitters adjusting lies for the sake of turf interaction without taking into consideration the face angle at impact.
Agreed. His original head probably would have been fine with a shaft change and the MP-20s are made to be combo'd, yet he only hit the 7 iron and is going for 4-PW. Would probably be better off with 4, 5, 6 MMC or even an HMB in the 4 iron. Also, why the hate for a descent angle of 50°? That's just stopping power on the green

@@dr6124 For sure. This was a sale before a fitting. The irons he came in with were arguably better than what he was fit to. Negligible differences and using sets of only 4 shots the differences could be accounted for in those individual swings. Not a good look for golftec. If this is what they offer at their headquarters, I can't imagine how bad it would be at any given franchise.
I wish TXG would do a review of this fitting video haha
