WOW this animation is SO COOL!!! I love the air of surrealism and horror when Gloria's body is revealed, and the desolation of the greenyard in space. INCREDIBLE job!
What a great way to display 'inadequacy.' No matter how bad things are, life is long, and nothing we do wrong is going to be so bad we can't come back from it. We're only silly little guys born for each others' sakes, being asked to separate ourselves from our nature and learn skills foreign to the animal kingdom. We are fundamentally good, and we try our best for each other, and even if we never make it to Venus, I think we'll be alright.
I wish we had a special reaction for only the very best comments, (kind of like reddit has awards to give to show how special a comment is). I’d give you the very best one for this comment. It’s life, in a nutshell, succinct, eloquently quirky and so true. You win the internet today! Thank you, fellow human being, for putting everything into perspective. Sometimes, we just need to hear it. You did that just right for me.
Gloria’s reveal had me make an audible sound of surprise and gravitas. When the video ended I just wanted more of their story! As I always do with your shorts. Well done!
I didn't even realize this has less than 1k views till I finished it, it deserves way more. This is such a cool animation with really interesting world building :D
This deserves so much more views and attention It's unreal. Also obsessed with the way you guys managed to get the animation to feel so clunky, I LOVE IT.
Wow thank you so much for saying that! The puppet was hand animated and made out of paper, our animator did an incredible job designing and animating Filbert!
Through the meticulous arrangement of seemingly disparate elements, this work subverts conventional aesthetics, proposing a new paradigm where the viewer's interaction with the space becomes an integral part of the narrative, thus questioning the very essence of artistic interpretation. This video, with its deliberate disarray, speaks volumes about the chaos of modernity while simultaneously offering a sanctuary for reflection on the ephemeral nature of human existence. It's an exploration of the liminal spaces where memory, time, and place converge into a poetic, yet unsettling, harmony.
