Oh man, when I was 9 years old, I used to watch this 5 times a day as a kid b/c I wanted to go so badly. One day I couldn't find the tape and I was bummed a little. A few years ago, my mom told me that she eventually had to throw the tape out because it made her so sad knowing she could never afford to take us there. So weird that I remember so much of this.
You think that's weird? We had a bunch of these from different years and I would marathon them when I was ten or so. I finally found this one which I think was the first one I ever saw.
this video is a huge part of my childhood, id watch it at the beginning of summer because I knew where me and my family were going soon! thanks for posting
RIP alien encounter well, i was like 3 when i went on it but my dad forced me on it so i guess i can thank him for making me experience what once was the best ride in tomorrowland thanks a lot stitch
I used to watch this all the time, even when I was a teenager. I miss the Disney of back then. I’m now 37, and we took our kids in February of 2020 ( right before Covid shut the world down) and to me, it’s a shell of its former self.
This video was like a dream back when I was a kid. I have still not visited Disney World but it's on my must do list. Also the 90's were better, shame I didn't experience Disney World back then when I was a kid.
I use to watch this as a kid, and was sooo obsessed with going, that I made a budget for my parents so we can afford to go. It never happened . :( However, I took my kids in 2016 and it was our first time for all of us!! I swear, the 90s kid came out of me and was absolutely beside myself, I cried when I first saw that castle. We've been going every year since, it really is the Happiest Place on Earth.
YES YOU'RE RIGHT THAT IT'S THE HAPPIEST PLACE..HAHA! I'm an adult too and yes I feel like a kid going to the toy store when I arrive sometimes at Disney...lol
I was lucky enough to go to Disney world a good few times as a kid from early to mid 90s. Honestly was magic and the best memories I have as a child. Hope to take a kid of my own back there some day.
I used to watch this tape when I was 4 years. I remeber of dreamming to visit this magical place and in 2015 I had the opportunnity. It was magical but the 90s disney seems to be the golden era. Tks for uploading this video.
i remember getting the 1999 and 2002 Promo VHS as a kid, and i had a blast when my family and i went for our Disney vacation way back in 2003, i also got in a day of fun at Universal Orlando too!
I remember seeing this over and over , and I told myself one day I’ll be in Disney World, it happened 19 years later lol but I took my girls to Disney World for the first time in 2015 and we have been going ever since every year , well except 2020-2021. But we already reserved for October 2022, I was able to experience Disneyland in the 90s which I think it was the best era !!!
I lived about an hour away from WDW, every summer from 1978 to 1989 my stepdad would take us. Even after my mom and him split up in 1984 he still took us. He got married again in 1990 and his new wife didn't want anything to do with us, she only wanted my stepdad to take her kids :( My first trip back after that I was 16 and in high school I drove my friends there for the weekend, we did that a lot. Miss those days.
Someone bought this for me when I was young. My mom could never afford it. When it came to the video I watched it 3 times a week and use to ask my mom if we can go. She said one day we will. We never did. But, as an adult i finally get to. I get to go for the first time in February. It makes me emotional.
Oh my gosh!!! I never thought I would ever see this again! I would watch this video at least once a week as a kid. I was 10 years old. Unfortunately we never went :( but I just went last week with my family to Animal Kingdom.
15:00 just imagine, you would have needed a helicopter to get aerial shots back then. I remember this promo at the end of a Disney VHS video we had as a kid. I could watch it over and over again.
I love that music medley! I can t believe they used music from LIGHT IN THE FOREST one of the less known disney movies that alone makes that video a rare collectible (sentimentally, I mean; I don t care about money value
Does anyone have the promo video that contains a song with the words: ‘take a look at a world where dreams come true, share a smile with the ones so close to you’ it was a song I’m sure was at the beginning but I cannot find it anywhere on here!
It's interesting how little Disney spent on this video! They used many 80's promo video clips... This reminds me of Golden Girls! Isn't it amazing also how little ethnic diversity there is!?...
Plus most of the on-ride footage was filmed for Disneyland promos in the mid-60s and reused for Disney World. Pretty much everything up to the DVD and HD era was archival footage.
My wife said the same thing, it almost ruined my nostalgia moment! That's why it's important for you and me to break that stereotype! The stereotype that black people are too poor to go on vacations or stay at disney world. Let's go!

Thomas H. 😢
It was the same in my house growing up. Now I'm living in Florida and have a annual pass. Go figure lol
my ultimate goal
I don t care if I m 90 when it comes true but it will
my first dream had been to go at all and it came true
Same
Same I used to watch this video all the time. Almost every day.
I would watch this as if it was a movie.
Mom: "Okay, guys. What movie do yoh want to see?"
Me:"Disney Promo"
Mom & Dad: "..."
You think that's weird? We had a bunch of these from different years and I would marathon them when I was ten or so. I finally found this one which I think was the first one I ever saw.
Same.
I still marathon them non stop as there are several screens in my house, playing at the same time, different disney material
Not until you saw Barbie Epcot birthday spectacular
Omg stop ittttt me too such memories. We were too poor to go anywhere except the jersey shore lmao. So id just watch this vhs over and over
I swear this promo video is single handedly responsible for today's Disney adults.
this video is a huge part of my childhood, id watch it at the beginning of summer because I knew where me and my family were going soon! thanks for posting

I was 10 years old at this point and OBSESSED with Disney World, and I used to watch this video obsessively lol thank you for this! So much nostalgia.
1985 kids are the best man!

Oh man! I remember this video distinctly because of the kid singing "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me," then humming.
I used to watch this tape when I was 4 years. I remeber of dreamming to visit this magical place and in 2015 I had the opportunnity. It was magical but the 90s disney seems to be the golden era.
Tks for uploading this video.
I had this video in 1996 when I was 5 and I must have watched a billion times. I’m so glad I found it again
My older sister used to just put this shit on in the background all the time while I was growing up. Weird nostalgia bomb. Cool upload. thanks
I watched this video all the time as a kid! Now planning my trip for this year and wish it was still like this 😭😭😭
i remember getting the 1999 and 2002 Promo VHS as a kid, and i had a blast when my family and i went for our Disney vacation way back in 2003, i also got in a day of fun at Universal Orlando too!

If I'm not mistaken, this video promo used to be featured in Disney VHS tapes at the very end of their movies.
This was too good! Disney Institute!! Forgot all about that
My dad used to get these videos every year, get our hopes up, and then complain that Disney World was too expensive and too far away.
Loved this as a kid! Thank you!

Wow! I have the same story!
RIP Maelstrom :(

cool to see a little bit of non-computer based animation...
15:00 just imagine, you would have needed a helicopter to get aerial shots back then.
I remember this promo at the end of a Disney VHS video we had as a kid. I could watch it over and over again.
that video of Walt Disney world from back then inspires me for my dreams for yesterday world
I love that music medley! I can t believe they used music from LIGHT IN THE FOREST one of the less known disney movies
that alone makes that video a rare collectible (sentimentally, I mean; I don t care about money value
Wow I remember having this on VHS 😆
Used to watch this in hopes of one day going still haven’t got there yet only one as a young toddler watching this made me feel like I was there
I wish I was at Disney World in the 90's!
I have this on tape somewhere o.o
Kodiak me tooo lol
Looking for footage from Busch Gardens Tampa, 1990-94, Around the World on Ice-or maybe Kaleidoscope? (When they used the song Coming To America)
Does anyone have the promo video that contains a song with the words: ‘take a look at a world where dreams come true, share a smile with the ones so close to you’ it was a song I’m sure was at the beginning but I cannot find it anywhere on here!
Its cool they sent this to people!
how the hell did we not have laptops and mobile devices back then then LMAO
Or did we? hm
“Priced from just $69 dollars per night.” What a time it was, huh
Disney MGM Studios seems to be more than Disney.
Why did River Country close?
I have this copy too.
It's interesting how little Disney spent on this video! They used many 80's promo video clips... This reminds me of Golden Girls! Isn't it amazing also how little ethnic diversity there is!?...
Totally, they would just re-use and re-use the footage. Might also explain why they didn't get more and more diverse as the US population did.
Plus most of the on-ride footage was filmed for Disneyland promos in the mid-60s and reused for Disney World. Pretty much everything up to the DVD and HD era was archival footage.
The only black person that is interwied in this video is an employee. No black people having fun as a guest. It is a portrait of our society.
My wife said the same thing, it almost ruined my nostalgia moment! That's why it's important for you and me to break that stereotype! The stereotype that black people are too poor to go on vacations or stay at disney world. Let's go!
I've only watched 5 minutes and I've already seen 7 having fun as guests, time points are: 1.30, 2.31, 2.26, 3.12, 3.59
wow
Now do not go to river country
WHERE ARE THE BLACK FOLKS 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
