- Franklin Delano Roosevelt (January 30, 1882 to April 12, 1945) was the 32nd American president who led the United States through the Great Depression and World War II, greatly expanding the powers of the federal government through a series of programs and reforms known as the New Deal. Stricken with polio in 1921, Roosevelt (commonly known as FDR) spent much of his adult life in a wheelchair. A whole generation of Americans grew up knowing no other president, as FDR served an unprecedented four terms in office. He was the leader America needed during the world’s darkest hour. My grandfather idolized him growing up. He used to tell me stories about him. He gave incredible speeches, and he definitely understood how American politics work. He was undeniably one of the greatest American presidents in history.

FDR is one of the most egregious presidents we have ever had. I'm not a Conservative myself, I'm a libertarian. FDR was not good. Civil and economic liberties ere essentially destroyed under FDR.

Actually there is a reason why FDR came up with the Japanese interment during the WW2, the reasons is because FDR at that time was paranoid if the Japanese came to US as spies.

He passed the NFA - the first amendment regulating/restricting our second amendment rights, he had Japanese & Asian Americans arrested and detained without an investigation, interrogation, right to an attorney or due process (a constitutional violation) all because of them existing during the wrong time, and he created the welfare state we're currently in now by rewarding freeloaders (basically bribing them into becoming government dependent voters), while deducting the money required for this COMMUNIST idea from the working class's paycheck.
