The biker with the handle bar mustache who was in the lead was the same actor who fought Clint Eastwood in "Any Which Way You Can (1980)" he always played the tough guy.great actor from the 1970's
@carpentertr Its a 1962. You can see the vent window handles and the lack of the front fender antenna. 1963 models had the antenna mounted on the passenger side front fender and a tapered rear deck lid which this car does not have.
They must have been a dime a dozen back then. I almost bought a '69 in 1978 for $400, but chickened out when I found out it needed a dual exhaust replacement.
The good news is the suicide rear door of the sedan is to make enter and exit the car easily. The bad news is the rear door can pop open, and the occupants can fall out of the car.
This has more to do with Hollywood's "sense of humor" , then what bikers were like at the time. Hollywood, if you haven't noticed, thinks it's funny to crash nice old cars...
That would never of happened in real life. I floored my Lincoln to 180 mph. The speedometer was jumping all over the place at one point. Those cars had no speed limit and you were flying low. The power was there when you needed it. Sometimes you did need that power in those days to deal with real punks and assholes on the road back then.
Damn them bikers! They destroyed a great looking classic sedan! :D But I agree with what gibbletz said, the Continental is heavy enough to ram the bikes, and should have done so! :D
A shame, but yes it was just an old car. Think of the "Deathmobile" in Animal House, a 64 Lincoln. Funny how that guy drove a 64 in a movie set in 1962. Double Secret Probation!
its called antique auto worship-the strange belief that anything more than 25 years old is a "classic"-I gave up on the old car hobby realizing that when youve seen one YOU HAVE SEEN THEM ALL!
With that cringeworthy singing in the background, I can see why he felt like running someone off the road. With Marvin Gaye and Bobby "Boris" Picket (of "Monster Mash" fame) in the same movie, I'd expect the music be better. Anyway, without a gun, I can't see any bike running a 5,000 pound Lincoln off the road; if I were driving, that guy would be roadkill.
Another CRAP 70's movie from the CRAP 70's era!!! What a waste of a once beautiful 60's Lincoln Continental. The director that choose a Lincoln Continental to get destroyed should have lost his job!! This scene could have been much MUCH better if directed better but no because it was the miserable 70's!! Go back to the 50's and 60's when things were beautiful!!!!
The Blonde in the car is Now known as Cheryl Ladd .Yes from Charlie's Angels she had work done to make herself look younger an prettier after she married David Ladd. This was her 1st real movie .Before this she voiced 1 of the girls in the cartoon Jozy and the pussycats .
the sound effects of the car going down the hill sounded like the car was made out of wood or something 😂 😂
5,000 pound car and a 500 pound motorcycle can't see what the problem is
The biker with the handle bar mustache who was in the lead was the same actor who fought Clint Eastwood in "Any Which Way You Can (1980)" he always played the tough guy.great actor from the 1970's
William Smith, I met him in 2011 in Memphis.
He's in an episode of Columbo with Ray Milland " The Greenhouse Jungle.
Biker cowards, low lifes
Now I watch this and can only think, what a waste of a 62 Lincoln.
Producer of the movie provides two strong shotguns to the ladies in Lincoln.
That 1962 Lincoln has or have no engine ho ho.
No worries, all that shit can be buffed out
How was that biker keeping up? His "swinging" hand should have been on the throttle.
@carpentertr Its a 1962. You can see the vent window handles and the lack of the front fender antenna. 1963 models had the antenna mounted on the passenger side front fender and a tapered rear deck lid which this car does not have.
Why didn't she brake hard when that stupid biker was behind?
Poor 'little' Lincoln... :(
because it wasn't in the script.
@@rlwieneke-cf3xq I was just going to type that
@@shawnyoung5960 I'm psychic. I read your thoughts 2 years in advance. ^_^
I think it might've gone different had I been driving that Lincoln....
That poor Lincoln.
Watching this makes me want to bust out some of the old Road Rash games for Playstation...
Looks like a 62, at least its a 62 deck lid. Still can't believe they wrecked that lincoln!!
They must have been a dime a dozen back then. I almost bought a '69 in 1978 for $400, but chickened out when I found out it needed a dual exhaust replacement.
Fuck this, that was one hell of a car. What a waste for some shitty 70's movie.
The good news is the suicide rear door of the sedan is to make enter and exit the car easily. The bad news is the rear door can pop open, and the occupants can fall out of the car.
They would also make the simultaneous exit of front and rear passengers a little awkward in a tight parking space. But they look cool nonetheless.
This has more to do with Hollywood's "sense of humor" , then what bikers were like at the time. Hollywood, if you haven't noticed, thinks it's funny to crash nice old cars...
ive never understood motorcycle chases.she shoulda ran them all off the road, they are on bikes for christ sakes!
@gibbletz Just what I was thinking. What does a bike way, 700 lbs? She would barely even feel it. What a shame too, beautiful car.
a shame to do that with a lincoln
In 1971 it was just another used car, a nice car but still just another used car

I love old cars and agree they could move, but I call bullshit on doing 180mph in an old Lincoln. 130mph? Maybe
Damn them bikers! They destroyed a great looking classic sedan! :D But I agree with what gibbletz said, the Continental is heavy enough to ram the bikes, and should have done so! :D
How sad. I could only watch this one time.

Yeah, and Animal House was set in 1961. But the song, 'Louie, Louie' that they played in the club did not come out until 1962.
Which movie is this? Name???

What is the title of this movie?
Does anybody know the title of the song?? "home again"??
Anyone knows the first theme's name or the band
what movie please?
+firedup643 www.imdb.com/title/tt0066915/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
So what happened to the two chics?
Died
Really?! Anyone for a game of biker bowling?
great clip - except it was a 1963 Lincoln - not a 62.
Have to laugh at those Nancy boys on the gay bikes trying to catch a very beautiful but slow car 😂
