The trailer project is done! I added some Auxbeam lights to the outside of my decoy trailer and they look awesome. The install was pretty tough at times, but I think it looks great.

If you have enough room, put some wire loom over the mass of wires near the battery and the trailer door edges and by the trailer door wheels. It will help protect the wire from possibly being rubbed through by the trailer door wheels and also insure that the separate wires won’t get snagged on any decoys or clothing while stepping in and out of the trailer. Plus it gives it a nice organized look.
Food for thought! Keep up the great content.
You may need a glue, an epoxy or heavy duty lock tight under the light mounts that are secured by self tapping screws. The screws will most likely back out with the vibration from being on the road/ travel. I ran into the same issue.... Trailer is coming along and looking great. Cant wait to see it loaded up during duck season.
Hey man you can also wire up a switch in the cab and to the truck battery and then lead the wires to the back of the truck to where your trailer connection is. Then get some waterproof wire connectors and when you hook up your trailer you connect them like your regular trailer lights and you have constant power at the flip of a switch from inside the cab. You can also have a 2nd switch so you can turn them off from the trailer if you wanted.
I think that's what I would of done but then your only pulling it with that vehicle if you had to pull it with a buddy's truck you wouldn't have lights
@@sparkplug6918 yeah good point. Maybe just leave the battery in the trailer with the switch for that reason. Have it set up for both ways.
Looking good bro! Can't wait to see it all loaded down with decoys and in the field getting decoys deployed.
Dang son. New Channel opportunity for u, “Pimp my Trailer”...
Add some curb feelers...
Awesome rig!!! Even though you didn’t do the disco ball 🤣
You should get a door stop for the side door so it isn’t able to hit the LED light bar. Also you could maybe get a solar battery charger and mount it somewhere so that you don’t have to charge the battery all that often.
The door doesn’t hit the light. I also don’t think I’ll need to charge the batter all that often because LED lights don’t draw much power
Pretty impressed with you man that was awesome to watch you do that without any help! Gonna be nice to have that in the field this season!
Do the spay in bed liner on the floor !
I hope you taped up those spade connectors. They are bare metal on the ends and will short out if they touch each other or another piece of metal in the trailer. Take from a guy who built police cars for a living “lights and sirens and radios”. The crimp “butt connectors are made for doing what your doing.
All connections were taped
I just went threw the exact same thing with my trailer but I installed two 52” light bars and one 24” I’m gunna light up and entire quarter section lol
Them big led bars light stuff up like crazy lol we have one on our ranger and it looks like daylight
An idea to prevent wear and tear on the wires at the back of the trailer would be to find a wire sleeve that would slide over the wires to protect them a bit better
Very thorough video. Probably overkill on the lights. Way too much of a mess of wires and crap right where you walk and unload stuff. I would have done a shelf in the nose up high to keep all that out of sight.
That is an awesome trailer!
Use some king starboard to box up your battery.looks sharp.nice job.
Great video
I think he already had this in mind but I said on the last video with the lights inside that he should do this. But Epic!!!!
This project was complete before the first video got posted. its still pretty epic
Hey guys I’m looking for some new choke tubes for duck hunting this year (currently just using ones that came with gun) Please recommend! Only recommend products from your personal experience with them! I shoot a Stoger M3000. Let me know what you use and your thoughts. Thanks!
Been shooting a carlsons cremator mid range for last two years out of a beretta a 300. I love it. Very consistent with everything I’ve been shooting and far fewer cripples than I’ve ever had.
Should put a big mallards bro decal on the trailer
maybe
Hell ya
@@OutdoorLimits Please NO stickers!!! It just screams douche bag.. Nice job on the lights though
How do you keep the battery alive??
How guys do cake tasting: put cake in mouth... “yup taste like cake” that’s it, that’s all we do for cake tasting
Might want use some of that 12 gauge wire to feed from your battery to fuse block.
Wouldn’t work because of the wiring harness
What kind of battery did you use for this and how long did it last?
If you don't mind me asking, what was the total cost of this trailer project (to include the trailer)?
Omg
