I mean, if I have a patched boot and I relock bootloader, it will definitely boot loop but the bootloader gets locked ? does xiaomi allows relocking the bootloader ? can we make apps like google pay run on magisk using the new zygisk hiding module with unlocked bootloader ?
@@sun_ada if you root the phone and attempt to install an OTA update through the built-in updater (normal method), then it will give you an error and won't install the update if you relock the bootloader while the phone is rooted, then you will most likely brick your phone (bootloop that cannot be fixed)

@@sun_ada once the phone is bricked in this way, you can't do anything with it. the phone is gone keep the bootloader unlocked UNLESS it has a complete stock MIUI firmware on it (aka no root, no mods, nothing else that changes the filesystem)
yes, i use the phone as normal. BUT make sure you don't mess with your xiaomi mi account section of the phone (you see this warning in the oem unlock section of the settings) as long as you don't log out of your mi account during this time period. you're good
@@ExplainingAndroid Yes, i install a fix in Magisk, because i was getting hardware attestation in safetynet check, but after the fix its all good, just google play says that My device its not certified.
so in order to get rid of big brother you have to give big brother your hardware ID and your real ID and then wait for big brother to allow you to get rid of him... Thats sounds really dumb. Any other way of unlocking the phone we paid for, without asking permission from big brother?

@@Chanelnrx some xiaomi phones have an exploit that will let you unlock the bootloader without going through the official route, but it's rare in my experience there are others who like to boot into EDL mode to flash MIUI firmware. you can't mod it with magisk or a custom rom/kernel or anything with this route, but you could switch from chinese miui to global miui if you needed to I'm not familiar with edl mode. I bought a device that was supposed to help me boot phones into it, but I never could get it to work (some devices are more difficult to boot into edl mode than others)

Do we need to unlock the oem to root ?
Can we not just use magisk boot to flash fastboot ?
you can't flash magisk in fastboot without doing the oem unlock first
