    Wow, that is some great service during the ordering/manufacturing process, lots of respect for this company! Looks like a great boot, nice review again mate, you’re the best boot reviewer in my opinion

    Solid boot. I love the idea of receiving photos and videos of your boots being made, fabulous idea.

    I'm very happy with my Tukano boots and the experience with Bordon. Interestingly, it appears that Tukano orders are concurrently open alongside the new Isidro Chelsea. This Tukano round says it uses the new leather shank and has W&C oiled latigo as an option.

    Sir, I'm loving the videos so far! I have a request, please keep us abreast of how the Truman's are holding up. I've ordered a pair myself but little information exists on the internet in regard to this brand (aside from there website).

    Nice boot review. Really like the craftsmanship with these boots and their values. If they had an eton/Danite sole could you consider this in your business casual boot lineup? Thanks love the channel

    • @Bootlosophy
      @Bootlosophy  2 роки тому

      Not really, because of my definition of business casual, one drop down from a suit. Definitely include them in smart casual though!

    Great review. I was wondering if it's a genuine cap toe. It looks sleek but also bulbous at some angles. Cheers

    Im 8 1/2 in the brannnock device. But I wear 7 1/2 on Nicks, Truman, Whites, and Redwing. Confusing as your size on the Brannock device is the same as mine.

    • @Bootlosophy
      @Bootlosophy  8 місяців тому

      What about the rest of your measurement? Heel To Ball? Width? Instep Volume? Everyone’s feet are different and the combinations count. Sizing is 100% confusing!

    How much room should there be between your toes and end of boot? Thanks

    • @bordoncolombia9497
      @bordoncolombia9497 2 роки тому +2

      It depends the theory says that should be 1 inch / 2.5 cms, which in our opinion is too much, we recommend max 2 cms in front of, minimum 1 for those who rather have a much more tight fit.

    Thanks for the review. In comparison, how does these sized to Thursday boots? Ps. Price gone up but do like the Tukano V2 Olive.

      I wear an 8 in Thursday and a 41 in these.

    This may not be that relevant for most of us but stitch down construction does mean that fewer resoles are possible plus the resole is more involved which not only costs more but usually requires you finding a specialised cobbler to do the resole. It is unlikely that your local, street corner cobbler will want to do these.

    Great videos really enjoy them..just a question , how much freight & duty do you pay on these? I’m in Melbourne …I would also love so Grant Stones but freight etc is hefty I feel..thanks again !

    • @Bootlosophy
      @Bootlosophy  2 роки тому

      These were an early batch. I think from memory postage was included. Freight from the US have calmed down a bit from the height of the pandemic when it got to USD70! I think it’s now about USD40 from most manufacturers. But unfortunately that’s why Iron Rangers sell for AUD595 in Oz, and Uruhara Store in Collingwood sell Whites MP boots for AUD1,000!

      As it happens I did an unboxing on Santalum, which I’ll follow up in a few months. I also have a pair coming from a new Bandung maker I found called Fortis.

    Significant price jump in todays market. $409usd. Whilst I was happy with my Bordon boots that I paid I think around $300usd for, $409usd now pushes it into a quality bracket the price doesn't quite make sense for.
