    *GAMEPLAY LINKS in description.*
*All testing occurred on APOCALYPSE. Lower difficulties will be no problem for this build whatsoever.*
*Guys, I just post my Remnant content for fun. I’m not a serious YT channel. That is why I don’t invest time into editing videos and making high quality or flashy looking videos. I just focus on good quality build content and gameplay. I honestly like the raw unedited presentation. I may change tunes in the near future, but as of now, this is where I’m at.*
Update: I learned during my Bruin Boss Rush fight that having too much DR actually hurts the build. I wasn’t able to convert incoming damage to grey health as much as I would have liked. Be mindful of that if you decide to adjust DR for this build. My DPS took a hit for that fight. I like to play fast with this build (in general too) and I don’t want to “wait” any longer than I have to for damage taken to generate my grey health. I like to keep my rhythm going during combat. That’s why I also switched out for Bisected Ring for this fight, so I don’t have to manage my stamina. I’m liking this build better with that ring personally. I’m reworking a variation of my build, but may keep it to myself. I encourage you guys to use this build as a blueprint and do the same. You can go several ways with this build.
Correction on *Relic* use speed is 45%
    69.3% DR with Juggernaut
Challenger Prime Class to give you that backup in case you die from intentionally taking damage.
The sword does enough damage as is along with the archetype perks. A 12% increase to all damage with bulwark stacks is plenty.
For my Black Greatsword Demos (so far), I have not been using consumables during combat, except for concoctions, to demonstrate for non-users of consumables that you CAN get by without them, BUT, if I *were* to use them, I would’ve smoked these enemies WAY FASTER.
Gul Serum would allow you to generate more power and execute more maneuvers with the blade.
Light Extract/Rocket Fuel accelerates your melee charge speed.
    *Flexible Rings:*
    Drakestone Pearl
A great alternative for Kolket Eyelet
    Ring of Omens
You can generate your own grey health when doing a neutral evade charge attack or any evade, and you conserve your stamina.
Slightly riskier, but pays off more.
Since we are working with a *heavy* dodge, this ring helps alleviate the stamina cost drawback from the heavy roll.
I recommend using *Ring of Omens* once you get your footing with this build.
Start off using Kolket Eyelet to get familiar with the build then swap when you're comfortable with the build.
Painless Obsidian is nice too for bulwark and haste.
You can go several routes with this.
    *Consumables:*
Ambit Ember, Gul Serum, Light Extract, Rocket Fuel - your choice.
Concoctions - Verdant Tea, Dark Fluid
Dark Fluid is a great option too for the stamina consumption.
Light Extract for Haste is also nice to utilize Perception trait.
Currently, I took out *Siphoner* and maxed out *Potency.*
The ONLY one you need to use is the concoction Verdant Tea or Dark Fluid, depending on which ring you use (Ring of Omens, Kolket Eyelet, Drakestone Pearl).
    *Fragments:*
I originally had health bonus fragments, but currently I specked into melee speed, evade speed, and crit damage.
    *Useful Notes:*
I like to use a relic even at max health for my relic perks.
Heavy dodge, but it works just fine for me. Use Gul Serum/Ambit Ember.
    *For ELITES and ABERRATIONS*
Using Banish to freeze targets gives you room to regenerate stamina or do whatever you need to, use consumables, create distance, reposition yourself, etc.
Not necessary bc you do want to take damage during a charge attack, but it’s a nice utility and just fun.
If you wanted to maximize the damage output, shoot Banish to the ground to apply slow, charge your melee special, tank incoming damage, and strike.

A lot of the stuff from Berserk looks cool, but I’ve seen clips/heard stuff about some of the plot. It’s a little too dark for my taste 😅

It’s a dark fantasy horror epoch at its peak. Mature anime/manga material for adults, not like your typical teen shonen anime/manga protagonist, which a lot of them are inspired by Berserk (Demon Slayer, for example). Berserk definitively does it better on all levels. Def not for everyone, just like my Berserk Build.
My introduction to the series was the Golden Age Arc trilogy film, went into it blind and was blown away. Beneath all the brutality and gruesomeness, is rich storytelling, character development, and amazing world building. Some of the BEST storytelling in all of fiction. If you can get past the initial edgy dark lord presentation in the manga, you’ll be treated with some of the most amazing artwork and in-depth character explorations in all of fiction. Don’t ruin it for yourself by spoiling it with clips! Well, that’s if you decide to dive into it lol.
The cool thing about Berserk is, depending on how you begin to explore the series, it can give you a completely different experience, much like Remnant as a matter of fact. For example, if you start with the manga or select certain arcs to begin reading (namely, the Black Swordsman Arc or the Golden Age Arc), or 90s anime series, or the trilogy film- you’ll be at different starting points but ultimately it’s all interwoven, and you’ll end up at the same destination- again, much like the Remnant series.
The shame about Berserk is, there’s never been a definitive anime adaptation, as it’s too dark and not consumer friendly. The 90s anime is the general consensus for the starting point and best adaptation so far. The trilogy film was a great intro for me, personally. If you’re a purist, start with the manga of course. Don’t even watch the 2016 anime adaptation, def the worst of them all, but it has its moments. The recent remastered trilogy film is good but I don’t recommend starting there bc it’s a tribute for the fan base, and the intro credits contain spoilers.

I like the concept I wanna expand my grey health build with the sword. Ill take into consideration the challenger archtype. Im using necklace of flowing life but just noticed the new potion the chef makes and will try using effigy pendant again in a build. I love grey health builds and using a bandage to go from 0 to 100% health when using the black cat as indicator of when to use a bandage. I cant wait to make a viable build with the greatsword in mind! Thanks for sharing your concepts.

@@485990 Great choices. I looked into those too while I was crafting my build. I’ll be making variations of my build for sure. For this particular build, I wanted to incorporate all the Berserk references in the game that I could think of. Funny enough, this was my first time crafting a grey health build and I think it’s amazing. I’m looking forward to exploring this concept more and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing your input as well.

A not-so quick rant on players complaining about nerfs and “unviable” weapons: I know nobody cares, but if you check my content history, you’ll see my evolution and growth as a player.
I started off as the shittiest Remnant player, dating back from The Undying King in RFTA. This and WWZ were my first ever shooter games that I actually played. Yes, my friends and gamers on YT influenced me and taught me along the way, but make no mistake, this is all me. I put in the hours to learn the game. I put in the grind. I bring my own style and flare to the game.
If a casual like me can get good at this game, so can you. And I’m still getting better.
Quit complaining about all these technicalities about the game and how unviable certain weapons are, and all these nerfs, particularly, with regard to their ability to play on Apoc.
Guys, it’s called APOCALYPSE for a reason. Get good. Point blank. Adapt. If you were only able to play Apoc with a specific build and it got nerfed, what you gonna do about it? Complain? Or level up your gameplay? There’s always lower difficulties. You know what you’re getting yourself into with Apoc. If you really wanted it that bad, you would push yourself to get better or adapt with the nerfs, bc IMO they’re literally still viable- it’s just a skill issue or nit-picky behavior otherwise.
There’s a plethora of weapons and items/build options that are completely viable. I’m a bit tired of seeing ppl complain about them, quite frankly. It literally comes down to skill issues (generally speaking- there’s always exceptions) or, you’re just being a crybaby because damn near anything in the game can be used on Apoc if you’re good enough. Sure, certain things may make the experience less grueling, but hey… what do I know. I’m not a gamer.
Don’t let any other player tell you this or that weapon is better or sucks. If you like it, use it. Forget all the technicalities. Do you. I’m not saying to completely ignore specs and techs, but don’t let it be the sole determination of how you play the game. Explore all the things the game has to offer. Don’t limit yourself.
    My motto has been and always will be *“play with whatever you like and get good at it”.* EXCEPT for a couple things, that I will state unabashedly;
All these “BEAT APOC EASY, INSANE UNKILLABLE BUILDS” can be fun for a bit, I’ve tried it out before. No doubt. Just not my jam. *It’s a bitch ass move to keep sweeping entire arenas on co-op, IF you’re not playing with friends or are on the same page with your allies.*
NO ONE likes a constant cheeser, just a select few. True players like to actually play the game. All the whiners want a participation trophy for playing Apocalypse with these broken meta builds. Quit whining. Quit pretending and showboating. Show skills.
You already know the usual suspects when it comes to these weapons/builds/skills. I dub it *“THE ULTIMATE BITCH ASS BUILD”.* Herein lies the issue: Twice within the past few weeks, BEFORE the DLC, I experienced a player killing a boss on APOC co-op in under 10 secs. Congratulations, bud you get a gold star sticker. No one’s impressed buddy, trust me. Do that shit on your own time. Don’t join or host a public session and ruin the game for everyone else.
For example, I was fighting Annihilation (Apoc) on a player’s session and another player joined in. He cheesed it and killed Annihilation (THICK SKIN) in under 10s during the first phase. The host ended the session. He re-opened the session and we continued the battle the normal way and had a blast.
I think it’s funny that certain UA-camrs hide my comments bc I tell it like it is. I just like to engage with the Remnant community, since I’m really passionate about this game.
Selfish players need to go solo. I said what I said.

The new scythe is also really good for those melee builds. Hits multiple times per charged strike and basically makes you unkillable with steadfast.

Fr im a melee main and made a build specifically for the Scythe and i one tap(hold button) elites on Apoc

      @gutsnglory11  3 дні тому

Yea, a lot of players are gonna take the easier route with the scythe and gauntlets. More power to you. It takes more skill to use this massive weapon (effectively).
Not a fan of “unkillable” builds. It takes away the pressure and stakes. Not fun imo. Doesn’t mean I won’t make builds with the weapons, though. They’re super fun to use, for sure.

I'm curious. Why use Perception trait? I dont see any Haste or Slowdown in the build

    • @gutsnglory11
      @gutsnglory11  3 дні тому +1

Slowdown is with the weapon mod Song of Eafir and mutator Timewave on Repulsor.
Haste is with Light Extract consumable, I mentioned it in my pinned comment.
Read my pinned comment and description for more details.
I did rush the video a bit, and wanted to keep it short. So apologies if I missed anything, but I’ll update more info on my pinned comment if I forgot anything else.
