If You Feel Like A Failure… Philosophy Can Help

Failure can be frustrating! When we fail to achieve our goals it can affect our sense of self-worth. We start to wonder, "Am I a failure?" or even "Am I doomed to fail?" In this video, I examine some of the causes of failure and I talk about how redefining success might help us get the things we actually want out of life. I read Machiavelli's The Prince and Plato's Alcibiades I to help us get clarity on what causes failure and how we ought to think about success. These two philosophers will help us grapple with success and failure in human life.
