Get size 2 hooks, not 2/0, size 2, 20-50 lbs mono, 2-4oz pyramid weights, swivels, and frozen shrimp. You're going to make what's called a dropper rig, also called a fish finder rig or pompano rig. Theres plenty of videos on UA-cam but basically the weight is on the bottom and about 10 inches or so you'll make a loop to push through the eye of the hook or you can put your hook on the line, then make the loop, either way works. Then about 12-18 inches about that make another loop. The loops should be like 3-6 inches long. Then tie a swivel on top to help with line stwist. ONLY use half a shrimp at a time. Where you're going to cast is in-between the crestes where the water is crashing. You'll see the water crashing, slack water, the another set of crashes and so on. Cast in the slack part. The water is deeper there. It's called the trough. Fish use it as a highway to run up and down the beach. You should catch whiting, spots, croaker, ect maybe small shark and rays. Take the smaller fish, cut them up, or use them live and cast out with a 2/0-6/0 circle hook depending on how big the bait you have on. That way you can try for shark around 30-80 lbs, rays around the same size, reds and black drum. Good luck
