Hey guys, what would you like to hear next from Schumann?
Yes!!!!
Please play Schumann’s Eintritt from Waldszenen Op.82, or the “Vogel als Prophet”.
Traumeri
@@Antune yes 😁
Perhaps Ritter vom Steckenpferd? Or Arabeske? 😊
Great tutorial. I love how you broke this into 3 voices. Really helped me as I'm just starting to learn this piece.
Awesome, thank you!
Nobody teaches the way you do. Going into the heart of it and making it so easy and simple to understand not just the music but the emotions attached to it. Thanks!👌👍
Glad to help! Thank you for the kind words.
Thank you for a really helpful tutorial - breaking down the piece into components and reconstructing it is so valuable. Your approach, combining philosophy, technique and interpretation are inspiring - thank you for taking the time to share your expertise and experience.
I liked this a lot! I learnt to play it by myself when I was a teenager, but I did the whole triplets with my left hand. I am re-taking the piano 15 years later and I’m going to try these indications. Thank you!
Many thanks, and good luck!
Çok teşekkür ederim bunun için.
"The key to get a beautiful sound is to feel the resistance while pressing the keys."
Çığır açıcı bir öğüt.

Great lesson, thanks! Please, keep on posting these kind of tutorials (even better if the camera wouldn’t move!)

Thanks for your wonderful tutorial for Kinderszenen Op.15 No.1. It is my favourite piano song and your tutorial helps me a lot.
Happy to hear that! Good luck with practicing, and enjoy playing it!
Thanks a lot for this tutorial! I loved how you broke the note into layers. I wish tho you took your time on the other (lower and middle) layers as you did for the first right hand layer!
Wonderful explanation, so very helpful! Thank you!
The video is MAGINFIC and very helpfull. But please, tell the person who is recording to stop zooming and moving the camera while you are playing cause im trying to see the fingering and its almost impossible to see it since he/she is moving all the time
Je suis désolé je ne comprends pas l’anglais mais le peu que j’ai pu comprendre m’a apporté beaucoup bravo à vous Maître
Thank you so much! Beautiful! As
usual!!
Dear Mireille, thank you very much!
@@Antune The only problem is that I didn't find the sheet music !

Beautiful ❤
Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
very detailed & professional. thank you! also the piano sound and your playing are great. there is some criticism about the camera angle in the comments, but for me everything is fine...
Thank you for the kind words!
I like your tutorials. I wish you have fixed camera.
Thank you
Çocukken de çok güzel çalardın bu parçayı,hatırlıyorum çalışmalarını❤💋
O zaman da çok güzel çalmıştın,mükemmel bir pianist olacağın ilk ışık orada görüldü❤💋🧿🎹👍
I really like how you talk about imagining the feelings behind the notes and bringing them into your playing. Excellent lesson overall. The only thing I question is your pedaling recommendations. Schumann notated the bass line in the first section as eighth notes separated by eighth rests, and only used quarter notes in the bass in the contrasting second section. Using pedal throughout would blur this difference, would it not?
Thank you for the comment! I make the contrast with the articulation between the first and second sections in the bass line. In the first section, using the pedal throughout surely keeps the blur but not as intense because I pause with my fingers. Another alternative that you can try is to implement a half pedal. Still using it the same way, but by pressing halfway. That will make the bass disappear even more, and you can hear the pause more clearly if that's what you want. Good luck!
Thank you sir
Hey guy why not playing mozart?
I'm a beginner i'm 13years old and i want to play it for Christmas but it is very difficult can you give me some tips please
Thanks!
Glad to have found this channel, very nice playing tips for us revisiting piano after some years! Thanks you!!
Thanks for the kind words and the support!
I would really love a tutorial on Wichtige Begebenheit. I haven't found one yet on UA-cam and I am having major issues with the pedaling. Please 🙂
Eventually, I will cover each piece of the Kinderszenen but hard to say when. I am working on other projects at the moment. All the best!
hi sir, many thanks for these helpful tutorial. I'm wondering what brand of piano you were useing in this video, the bass sound beautiful, full and gentle. I think most of it is cause of your technic, I stil wish to know the brand, thank you, good day:)))
Thank you!
In this specific video, I’ve played on Shigeru Kawai SK3. In my recent videos, I play on different models.
Good luck!
Love your tutorial much and sorry about your camera position could you please put the camera above you it will make the video more stable and I can see your finger movement in playing the melody
Hi Dhira,
Thank you for the comment.
I have several reasons to keep the camera placement as it is.
The first one is that I want to present the exact angle as I see my hands. I believe, the viewer must see the nature of the hand movement through my eyes because I think this is the easiest way to understand what I am showing and explaining.
The second reason is that body movement has a huge impact on phrasing and timing in general. Those two things aren’t always the easiest to explain in words. Therefore in my experience, the movement adds to my teaching.
The third reason is that I can show the right or the left hand in a specific time for the certain passage that I want to be the focus of the attention.
For me, the above reasons are very essential to my teaching.
All the best!
Thank you for the tutorial. You play beautifully. It's unfortunate that the camera angles make it difficult to see the correct fingering.
Sorry about that. I do my best with the new videos.
If you need my fingerings, a free pdf is in the description.
All the best!
Talk more about how to create a singing tone.
Thank you for the tutorial - it would be very helpful to know what the correct fingerings are - I tried to slow down the video and take note of what fingers you’re using for each key but it’s quite hard to tell. Is there any chance you could share the fingering? Thanks so much!
The sheet music with my fingerings is in the description. You can download it for free :) Good luck!
Haha amazing! Thanks so much that’s so helpful! :)
Just one question: In which movement do we find the minim=100 per minute?
Excellant tutorial but the camera moving back and forth and in and out is very distracting and at times we only see the score and not you fingers or wrists while you are playing or the score covers your hands.I saw your explanation below and it makes sense but the moving back and forth and in and out of the camera is dizzy making. Maybe you could decrease that or slow it down a little. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback. I am trying to decrease the movements and hopefully it will get better!
I wanted to leave the same feedback. I needed help finding fingering for this piece but the camera movements are making me ill. I’ll have to find another video to use. Otherwise the advice given is really great.
Hi, you can download the free pdf in the description where I wrote down the fingerings.
It is not my most recent video, and I am trying to better the cam work in every video. Good luck!
Great explanation! The only problem is that I have fairly small hands and can barely reach a 10th. Any tips?
Thank you!
Can you tell me which specific bar(s) you are struggling with?
After a bit of practice, I have resolved the small hands issue but I have picked up a few problems.
From bars 9-14, I have some uncomfortable moments and I tense up.
Thanks for replying.
@@PianoDawg1620 I recommend focusing on wrist movements. Try to flex your wrist on each beat (like bouncing). It will help to relax your playing for sure. Also, I suggest playing in a slower tempo for a fair amount of time.
Hope it helps, good luck!
Score is marked 106 (84) which to me seems much too fast. What do you advise?
84 metronome mark to me also feels like a little too fast. I prefer to play around 70 bpm, I guess. Still, no one could say what is right or wrong. Feel free to choose the tempo which feels right to you! Good luck
So I've already learned this piece but i'm still having trouble and i dont knwo if it's because i have small hands but yeah its been bothering me
What exactly are you struggling with? Can you tell more?
@@Antune so in the second measure when it goes from #F to E and D for the right hand, my left hand i feel like i hold out #F in the left hand between the E and D, how should practice it?
@@dinchildschannel3391 Are you talking about the middle layer? Because in the first beat, both 1st and the 2nd F# are on the right hand. Only the first two notes (A and D) are on the left hand.
Do we use una corde in this ?
Hi! This video is great! I still can't get the pedal to work. Do you have any tips for this?
Thank you! You can try the pedal first with the right and then with the left hand in a slower tempo. Both hands + pedal can be tricky at first. Therefore, focusing on one hand and the pedal is a more comfortable option. Good luck!
Right, i will try this! Thank you very much!
Super tutorial. Just a little suggestion, the camera moves to much. Otherwise everything is briliant.
Thank you!
Still working on that. It will get better!
All the best
hello! last bar left hand, my fingers are too short, for this piece and in general, what is recommended, whats the alternative? Thank you!
Hi there! No worries about that. You don’t have to keep the lower notes with your fingers. Keep the “Right Pedal” throughout the last measure, and these notes will sustain.
@@Antune Thank you very much!
This is really well done but the camera work makes it hard to see the keys you are hitting.
Thanks!
Doing my best with the camera. Just hard to control both my hands&head :) It will get better!
I'm struggling with correct fingering since my sheet music does not have suggestions.
You can download the free sheet music from the description. There you’ll find my fingering suggestions.
@@Antune Thank you!
Hi at 09:55, The sheet music reads e but he plays c. Should it be ea and e or ea and c?
Seems like I’ve made a mistake on the sheet music. It is supposed to be a “c”. So just play c :)
@@Antune hi, thank you for clarifying! 😊
I`m so excited to watch your video, it makes me learn so much, but I can`t download the music sheet from your web, I don't know why is my problem? it`s always waiting when I enter my email , please help me !!!~`````````````````````````````````````````
Hi, thanks for the comment. I've just double-checked it, and it works for me. Can you try with another email address? Or you can send an email to antuneme@gmail.com, and you'll receive the scores.
@@Antune thank you so much .and i try it again. i dont know why.but i does work. and very very pleased receive your replay.
Thank you greatly for this marvellous tutorial.Unfortunately I cannot keep my concentration on your teaching, because your camera moves+swings pauselessly, this really causes me virtigo. 😪😪
Thanks for the comment, and sorry to hear about the struggle you have with the cam movements. It is something that I am trying to improve with every next video that I do.
All the best
I envy your giant spider hands
kanka sen kesinlikle türksün ben anlarım.
good content and explanation, but that constantly moving camera comes straight from hell... i can barely watch this :( is this some kind of joke!!?
