I remember that A year ago, on my senior year, I started to practice bass, then my teacher asked me to be the bassist on the Christmas concert, we played this song. I felt special since there were different drummers, singers, and guitarists, but I WAS the only one playing the bass. I remember looking for this video because since I just started to play, I really didn’t know how to do this song, I practiced hard and felt really happy and proud of myself. But it was all because of your video, which helped me a lot. Thank you so much, that night is one of the best memories I have from school, foreal thank you so much.
As somebody who plays both bass and piano I understand this comment way to well. And honestly, that really upsets me. Because honestly in a lot of songs it kinda interferes with how well I enjoy it because some listen through I can only hear one instrument.
@British-Aussie Lover In metal, bass is generally used for feeling and adrenaline. It also helps to occupy lower frequencies which arent used up by other instruments
Bryan Figueroa, It gets me mad how hidden he is. He just sort of fell of the face of the earth. I wish he would join Bri and Roger with Adam Lambert on tour.
Bryan Figueroa Same! He is very underrated, his bass work in Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Liar, Great King Rat, absolutely amazing! But he seems to be overlooked by many.
I'm sure you can do it!! You'll never know 'til you truly give it a shot! I was really doubtful when I started trying and now, I can play almost the whole thing! You've just gotta believe in yourself, and be confident! There's nothing wrong with having confidence in yourself!!
Honestly I'm practicing it on bass and the fast part looks easy when you view the tab, but when you play it 😳 wayyyy more difficult playing it but hey practice will be the only solution as always 😉

2:55 the thing I love about this is that the Rock section is in Eb Major, but the operatic section is in A major. To change the key without the music sounding awkward, it’s at this part when the bassline slowly goes down each note from Eb down to A. Really cool thing, if you ask me.

Or his bass work on Dead On Time, even the runs he does at the end of Im Going Slightly Mad. He’s easily the most overlooked bassist in rock history.
As a bass player I would like to say that thicker strings does not equal harder to play, but I would say bass is still slightly more difficult than guitar on an advanced level, but they are different to it isn't really a fair comparison
@@notabird8003Bass is easier in the beginning of the learning process since chords are not very common and almost never use all of the strings, but the difficulty of bass in fast passages is unmatched compared to any instrument I've played.

Awesome and great...Thanks, Joe! This is the most Perfect video tutorials with bass tab and demonstration.
You even got the details right like the finger slide I love people that pay attention to the details
Gracias a estos covers puedo apreciar más el bajo y tengo que decir que John Deacon es para mí uno de los mejores bajistas junto con Paul McCartney.
took the words right out my mouth
oh, finally this masterpiece
John deacon is the beginning, middle and end of the quintessentially classic bassist....plus queen is the last band bar a few (only a couple come to mind) from the 1990s onwards that are original and have put their heart and soul into songwriting and performing... god need more original songwriters and performers..
i’m currently learning this song on my bass guitar the beginning was pretty easy to learn but near the middle of the song (the faster part) is a little tricky and i’m still working on it but nice playing man loved the vid.
