Finally got to fish on Mille Lacs this year and it was tough! Luckily camping on the ice was fun! Let me know if you want to see more winter ice camping videos!

60 years ago when I was 10 my Dad would take me ice fishing on Mil Lacs, but we fished from a ice house and didn’t have near the technology you have today. It was hit and miss back then, but it’s memories I’ve never forgotten.
We caught a lot of Walleyes and would stay at a place called “Formans Favorite Spot”. My Dad owned a plane and we’d fly from Austin Minnesota to Forman’s and he had a short grass field that we’d land on.
Sounds fun man I have never fished out there but now I want to.

Nice video would definitely suggest the co2 alarm for sure but also the heater is why I'm commenting. Now idk about that new buddy heat but my big buddy I don't use those stupid little tanks anymore I bought the adapter kit for a 20lb tank and it last forever. Sure on short trips its not necessary to haul that big clunky tank around but for days like this it would have saved you alot of sleep not having to get up. Also if the conversion kit will fit that heater make damn sure you have the inline filter as well the gas in the little tanks is super refined clean fuel regular propane is not so make sure you have it if you do it otherwise your heater will become a nightmare good luck!!!
Yeah you can get a headache and dry throat from propane did you have the air vents open in the shack

I caught my biggest walleye/fish on Mille Lacs. 26.5 in Walleye 5 years ago. I used to live in Minnesota. My family used to camp at Appledorns.

You need to have some kind a way to vent the fumes from the propane that’s why you got a headache some people go to sleep and never wake up because of the fumes.

Some biggins at Mille lacs! Last time I went on the lake caught some 4-5 lbs small mouths, too and a pretty big walleye.
Ya that headache is from the propane tanks. Need to have a lot of good Ventilation to be sleeping out there on the ice. I lost a cousin ice fish over night cause the ventilation wasn't good enough and the winds changed direction over night. Blew the fumes back in and he passed away.

we drove out on the west side and caught 9 walleyes this afternoon within a half mile of shore all between 18-25" plus we slayed perch all day long! 2 buddys just dropped ice castles on the spot!

Hey buddy if you put a lithium battery in your live scope unit it will make it a heck of a lot lighter!! I put the Dakota lithium 30AH battery in mine & it’s less then half the weight it was before!! Absolutely love it & can Carrie it around all day & then some!!

So curious y wouldent you put ur shacks door to door for heat in both huts ? Buy some little hand clamps and clamp the doors all the way around and the heat wont escape .

Bro... Please get a fan for ur shack. And put it where ever you have your door cracked and circulate fresh air cuz that headache is least of ur worries but passed the point you want to be sitting in it .. bro. U can get a cO detector that'll clip right on ur 12v battery and keep it closer or below ur your head at night cuz propane falls and fills up like a glass of water almost.... just circulating fresh air and having your vents wide open will help big time... Learned this from alot of headaches myself... Fan fixes the problem big time! but I've still had the cO go off at night when it's banked up nad real cold.. and at that point you need to air shit out asap shut ur heater off and get cold a bit... I tend to sleep with it off and when I wake up (cuz no matter what ur gunna wake up for something) I'll turn it on and sleep a little bit and shut it off after it warms back up .... Can't be safe enough with propane bro! Keep the videos coming!

Headache is from the carbon monoxide from the propane heaters, carrying a CO detector is a good idea for overnights. Carbon monoxide is called the silent killer.
