I've been to Bahia once, it's my favorite brazilian state. I find it magical it isn't like Goiânia or Brasilia, it's just laid back and is actually walkable. Love from Scotland 🏴
Obrigado and Bom gia, If I spell correctly. Are the only two Portuguese phrases I know. But the people I met during my two week stay in Salvador were very laid back and friendly. The Camacari Oxitino chemical plant was my purpose for the stay in Salvador. Hotel Deville Prime Salvador was where I stayed. The accommodations were nice and our chauffeur was awesome. He took us to all of the hot spots. Including the five club. I'm looking to soon retire somewhere in South America.

Goiania and Brasilia are completly different than Salvador as these are modern cities inside of the country.

In public places full of people is rather safe. But sure there are some spots and neghbourhoods where better avoid to enter.
